No QUEUE, just 1017. Forever.

I guess I'm one of the luckier ones as I've only been stuck with that error for almost 7 hours now. I managed to play for about 30 minutes today then the servers started to hate me. What's even more frustrating is that I've been able to hear my brother play the game the entire day without any issues.

personally the not knowing when/if the limitations will be lifted is driving me up a wall! being kicked off due to the instanced quests and unable to log back in is not nearly as bad if i know that i can't get in for the next "X" hours.

in 1 hr we will allow more log in's then every hour following that would even work for me

Yep 1017 since around 2 pm.

I had this same issue in beta 4 - and it was "fixed" with the 3102 "fix". So is SE going to acknowledge that they really didn't fix the underlying cause or are they just going to ignore people - and this isn't just New players, it is Legacy Players as well.

Today I was in the game leveling my conj, and to no surprise "Booted" got the 90000 error, tried to relog then got the 1017 error, closed everything relaunched the game, got to character select screen and waaalaaaa oh, the 1016 error saying world data cannot be found. Got the 1016 error about 10 times before i gave up and went made dinner came back about 30 minutes later and yes...you guessed it. 1014 error saying world data cannot be found, then I tried again about 15 minutes after that and now I have gotten the 1017 error yet again after i was 1300+ in que for a couple mins waiting. LMFAO this has been the absolute worst prelaunch/early access experience I've ever had out of the 15+ yrs of playing MMOs.

WAIT UNTIL LAUNCH DAY, IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE WHEN THE NEW INFLUX OF PLAYERS TRY TO ALL LOGIN TO THE GAME :) WAY TO GO SE FOR PREPARING FOR THE WORST. SOMETHINGS NEVER CHANGE.

Hmm after barley making it through 58 hours of error code 3102 only to think to myself hmm lets see if 1017 will it beat its time shall we....;)

I get home from work and this is what happens? I can't believe they would just remove the queue. This isn't even early access, this is beta phase 5.

I have been rinse/repeating 1017 errors all day. Last time I got into the game was this time last night.

My husband gets queued, was playing for hours.

We log off, go to a D&D group for a few hours.

Come back, he gets queued and then plays with no issue. Friends confirmed people have been AFKing for hours in towns to boot.

I still get 1017. Might as well be Beta Phase Five.

I haven't played for a single minute. All day.

Eff you, Square Enix. I am seriously debating returning my pre-order, because it's not going to get any better at launch.

BUT removing the queue is just a very bad move.
And doing that will force players to stay online, even thou they are not playing.

For myself, i am unable to log in since 6 1/2 hours now, due to server full (and an in between maintenance).

I could see how it'd be good for testing purposes, too. However, this was not meant to be beta phase 5. It was meant to be early access for people who pre-ordered.

This is what is pissing me off the most. Release is tomorrow and i have yet to log in all day because the f fing servers are full. Full of what? Full of shit? I kept trying and trying and trying and several times it looked like i was logging in then half way through bam the servers are full. At one point i was actually placed in a 101 person cue (I thought there wasn't cues it just shows the servers are full of shit) and i was delighted. 2 min of waiting later i get sorry servers are full message. AHHHH

The most annoying part is SE constantly saying sorry over and over and over and thanking us for our understanding and yet fixing nothing. They acknowledge it is their fault. They acknowledge they have effectively ruined our ea. Why the fuck have they not offered transfers to players on affected servers to help even the load? It seems like the best solution and yet they ignore it probably because they want us to pay for it when it is their stuff up. -.- What the hell happened to limiting number of character creations per server? I know i can't make any more on my server so where are all the people coming from?

Rather then create 500 different servers they should have assigned 2 servers to one name each, put a realistic limit on the number of created characters for a time (to access interest from players and stress), allowed emergency transfers and gave players incentives to join less populated servers like double exp from kills for a week or something. At the moment NA servers are inoperable in this state and i can not fathom how people manage to log in at all yet remain stable.

So about 30 min after I posted, I got in. Around 5:30 ( pacific standard time) I got into a 296 queue on Gilgamesh and about a min later I was in. The world was VERY empty though. I played about 4 hours and the world slowly got busier. From this, it seems pretty likely that SE isn't acknowledging 1017 error because its occurring as a result of login restrictions and server throttling. The world IS full from the games perspective because of the controlled usage allowance.

Hopefully whatever maintenance they're doing tonight will resolve whatever underlying issue there is so that they can stop restricting logins.

I think I spammed the screen about 87 times before I was placed in a que. Got stuck in an instance doing level 10 gladiator quest. Its a solo instance but 2 other people some how got in with me and for 15min we stood there wondering why no enemies was coming. When we failed the duty and tried again it actually loaded super fast and seemed to have been fix. Chances are they just booted a bunch of people from the server. I probably wont even try to log in tuesday.

left to work 8 hrs ago thought I would at least have the list for NA/EU servers listed... nope nada... I cant even try and login. I'm checking the status of servers and they are up... wth?? anyone else running into this issue? the JP servers seem like they have no issues, wonderful =D

Yeah, I dont mind if I have to wait an hour or two in a queue. At least then I can feel like something is moving. Instead I have to click repeatedly for 3 hours before I can get online, with short breaks mixed in. I'm not sure how many times I tried to log in. I would have given up after 5 minutes if my friend sitting right next to me wasn't logged in and doing stuff...

Now I feel the need to stay up until the servers return, so that I can log in and just AFK overnight while I sleep so that I can play tomorrow without ramming my head against the login screen for another 3 hours. Of course, this afk action by myself would screw over someone who is not afk and actually wants to play. Therefore, this problem is only worsening itself :/

so...i found a way to get my list to come up...I just made a character on a JP server, once i went through that little intro part, logged out. BOOM!!! now the list shows and I was trying again and again before just trying to get something up. Happened to me once in beta but hey it worked. I'm in queue at least with a number. try that out if your not getting any list who knows...

So that happened... twice... Got into queue and then 1017 poped over it...

This is getting beyond a fecking joke now WTF are we paying for....

I spent 2 hrs trying to login before I finally got placed in a que of 144 people. It finally was about to load and I get "had a problem connecting to server lobby" smh. Almost cried.

I am really annoyed too.:( Yesterday evening I couldn't play because I always got the 1017 error. This morning I couldn't play because there was the maintenance and then I had to go to school and when I came home in the evening I got the 1017 error again like I always get it in the evenings. Sunday I wasn't able to play either, that are two whole days and the game (with early access) is only 5 days out ...:(
