Great, I'm part of the club, guys. I'm so fucking glad I'm not alone... lol.
I just installed the C++ 2012 and since then i haven't had any problems for 2 days now :o Hope this helps someone else out there. Good luck!
just crashed twice in less than 15 minutes from this..desperate
Tried all the C++/DirectX reinstalling, even goiung so far as wiping the game complete and reinstalling and sitting through the painfully slow updates again. Played fine for about three hours, then, of course, back to the runtime error. Again, not location specific I don't think, or indeed area population - I wast going through Western Thanalan, which is usually quite busy, but was remarkably quiet as I think most people are off into the higher level areas just now. Anyway here's hoping this gets resolved/recognised soon - it's becoming too regular for comfort.
I'm kinda relieved that I'm not alone with this. I have also experienced all of the above! The invisible walls, it taking ages for NPC's to load, falling through bridges into the water on many occasions mostly in LL between the crystal and the arcanist guild but it has happened in other areas as well, and sometimes Ill be in areas playing with my husband and on my computer there are no players no npc's no mobs just an empty city but I look on his computer and the city is flooded with life. I thought my computer was broken. Then I was playing on his character the other day and the same thing happened?? Its just not as often on his computer and he didn't get the R6025 error but I had to do a hard reset because I couldn't even get the game to shut down it was stuck. I am using a radeon HD 5700 graphics card and a AMD phenom processor. I have seen a lot of people post in other forums that they are using the same products that are having the same issue even on other games, but with the ffxiv game I have also seen that people using other manufactures are having the same issue. So I am hoping that it is a problem on their side and I don't have to upgrade my computer to have uninterrupted play time. Please post if u find a cure thanks so much ~Echo
Edit: PS I also scored high on the bench mark, and didn't experience this error once during the old ffxiv, alpha, or beta p. 1-4. It started with EA just wanted to add that info. Signed again ~Echo

Even if your not having the same issues if you come across this thread could you bump it so we can get our problems solved!
This, running across the area northeast of Dragonhead, just after completing the fight for "In the Eyes of Gods and Men" quest.
Specs are in sig.
bump, bump
crashed just now to runtime error...hmmmm so far that is 5 times today all since i got into heavily congested areas such as dragonhead....i did all the c++ removal..then restart, reinstalled c== 2005x64,2008x64,2010x64,2012x64 my directx did not need updated...my nvidia driver is the latest driver issued...i dont have a sound card (its usb)...ssd firmware is current...its a new win 7 install with all updates to server pack 1..on a new solid state drive...my connection to the net is around 15 megs..
your benchmarks rates me high enough to run this game on high resolution...i can barely run the game..everything i can turn off is off and i do about 19 fps..now runtime error every hour or so if i'm lucky... tonight i'm unlucky and 5 times in an hr....something is wrong..it only happens with ffxiv:arr we need a solution....
This crash is almost random and to everyone saying installing DirectX or C++ fixed it for you, you just haven't given it time or been doing the same things where it crashed before..
For instance.. I've never crashed outside of a crowded area with FATEs going on.. I spent the past two days leveling mining and all was fine, the second I go to Coerthas and just happen to have a FATE spawn on me, then see the giant number of people running towards it, I crash as I'm running away.. I can grind FATEs in lower level areas with less people no problem, when I get into Coerthas or Mor Dhona after the game has been open for awhile is when it all goes to absolute shit.. Not sure if its to do with the massive loading of all those characters plus NPCs, but seriously SE needs to look into this..
Is this happening to anyone with newer builds? AMD APU/FX/i5/i7 CPU's for example
Nvm.. Looked thru a few other threads and it is happening on everything it seems..
Yes this is expected to happen. It all depends on your system component specifications. For instance, when I am undergoing a FATE quest in Coerthas the sound stutters yet my gaming experience is stil decent and I have never encountered any error. Since my system was built for extreme gaming I suppose my lack of technical issues is to be expected. I can only imagine how stressful it must be for lesser systems.
well 5 times this past hour..lets see what they were,,,all 5 in dragonhead area....
1. i was running past a town toward the quest with the three stolen boxes..i crashed next to the town...didnt seen any reason why...no people..nothing laggy that i could tell(was already suffering at 19ish fps)
2. i was in dragonhead talking to main quest guy hauchefant or something like that..i had to wait for him to load...i picked up the quest..got turned got to the door and crashed..
3.i was in dragonhead again just popped out of sunken temple dungeon(no issues or lag). ran toward my solo event duty and crashed
4.was in the duty failed and crashed coming out of it
5. just before i posted here i was about to do a guild hest ran into dragonhead to be in a safe place when return from hest.....you guessed it crash and burn...game is becoming unplayable to me
I get this error at random intervals and times just walking around town in crowded and less crowded areas.
My i7, ATI 5770 PC can't even play the game for 5 minutes without crashing but it gets a different C++ error though. I hate C++.
it needs to be addressed ,,staying away from people in an mmo..defeats the purpose of an mmo...i got the r6025 erorr more times from being around crowds of people than i have from playing olo...i did not join a massive multiplayer game to play by myself
same issue here
Same problems here, I hit invisible walls everywhere, I "missed" the ramp in the Grindana markets, ended up underneath them. NPCs take sometimes minutes to load on my screen. C++ errors can happen anywhere, in cities, or outside, even if there aren't that many people around me.
Since I waited an extra week to get on a new server, it's really trying my patience.
ive just had my first run time error of the day, only online for 5 mins! I was going to the inn to sort out my retainer in gridania.
I,ve been having these for about a week now, normally just before I get one it takes ages to load in npcs and even my char! I even fell through the world yesterday, I got such a fright lol
I know im no pc expert and my poor pc is elderly now (6 years old :P) but im glad im not alone!!!! xxx
Another crash due to this still-unacknowledged error...
Yay just had my 2nd run time error...was in limsa lominsa crafting...no prob happy as larry, decided to port to gridania.. and poof run time error... /cry!
I don't get it..it wasn't even crowded (yes I try to avoid crowded areas..just incase)
Bumping for the greater good!
do i dare log in?..i'm in dragonhead area...where i crashed 5 times yesterday in an hr with runtime errors
Happened to me twice today too
Bump while I'm 3102'd after getting this error again..
...aaaaaand, there it is again. Gaaargh! That's the technical term. Just coming out of Thousand maws, a bunch of party invites and boom r6025'd.
Still getting this issue, T.T... does anyone know how to fix this?
I get this error about 10 times a day. i could be standing still and getting it. any zone. it's very frustrating. anyone have any luck getting it fixed?
bumping this...would like some sort of response
I've been getting this bug since launch... Has anyone found a solution?
Just got it again after not seeing it for a few days. Happened as soon as I attempted to zone from the Lower Decks of Limsa Lominsa to the Upper Decks. Before that, all I was seeing was player pets; no NPCs, and no actual players. I already tried reinstalling the C++ stuff and done a fresh install of the game. It's not doing the trick. SE needs to take a look at this and find a fix.
EDIT: And now I've fallen through the ground and walking around on the ocean floor with no way to get back up. The hell am I supposed to do now?
And, just R6025'd again. 12 pages and no official 'we're looking into this' response yet? I have a feeling we're going to be ignored for awhile til they get all the other server issues ironed out. :(
They probably are not going to respond directly to this issue. I get it often as well and from what I've been able to gather, it's just another symptom of the larger problem of network errors many people are experiencing trying to stay connected to SE's server.Hopefully they will fine tune their connectivity issues in the next couple weeks and we will start to see fewer problems like this.
Just have to be patient I guess. Either your problem will go away in the next few weeks, or you'll have to submit a tech support ticket which, in a few weeks, hopefully there will be people available to handle for you.
Get this all the time I really wish something would be said about it.
Getting it repeatedly today. My guess is it DOES have something to do with the load on the server, it pretty much always happens when there's a lot of players in a small area, like in a city or a sanctuary. It's getting pretty freaking annoying because you can't really AVOID high congestion areas, as a lot of your quests and whatnot are gonna take you to those areas. I just hope they are at least aware of the problem.
I've been getting R6025'ed all day today. Not sure what to do about it either.
Glad to see this isn't just an issue for my PC. Been getting this since day 1 of open access. Must have something to do with loading as it only happens to me when porting into busy atheryte areas.
About time we got some info on this, even if it is just acknowledgement.
so messed up how they dont even acknowledge this
One hour, then R6025'd this morning. I just don't want this to be buried under millions of server related posts. Think it may be something like a leak based on 100+ player models being loaded at once - quite often it seems it happens when you come across a large group Fate Partying or whatever. Not ideal for an MMO - doesn't cope well under any conditions that include Massively Multiplayer or Online-ness.
