I sure hope Hideki sees this when he/she wakes up. He/She has been on edge ever since he/she discovered he/she has yet to get his/her code.

dude the rage running through me last night was way too much. i woke up feeling all nice and refreshed. untill four of m friends who didnt even play 1.0 called me saying they got their beta keys and wanted to know what my name was so we could play. then rage turned to tears and now im stuck crying and whining till se fixes their problems.

As you may have noticed we have been experiencing congestion issues on the forums due to high volumes of traffic. This applies to both the FFXIV 1.0 forums and the FFXIV: ARR Beta tester forums. Unfortunately the beta client has to be downloaded from the Beta tester forums, so until this issue has been resolved you may have difficulty in getting hold of the client.

As for the email situation, we hope that more of you have received your beta keys as we continue to push on.

yea nope. my room mate who didnt even play 1.0 and made fun of me for playing it, got his beta key. good job SE.

lol Relax. Some things are happening that are out of SE's control. Just be patient, something will give.

You guys should really put some serious consideration in the future into making torrents of things like this available a week before players need them. Fewer frustrations for the players, fewer of your servers will have caught fire, less bandwidth SE has to pay for, it's a win-win for everybody.

still no invite for me but i'll get one eventually so i'll continue to wait for one i'm just hoping i get one this weekend and yes i'm 1.0 i just read the forums its funny at times XD

i can't remember when the data was being saved, was it phase 3 or 4?

Phase 3 test 2, we get our characters back.

Phase 4 and early access should be about 1 week both and progress is being saved.

Well... still nothing.

I have read about some 1.0 players receiving beta keys in their e-mail. Some other getting direct access without having to enter a key... nothing on my account/e-mail/spam folder.

Getting kinda depressed now :/ I was so excited to play all week.

It's been a few hours now since the last update from SE. It would be nice if they told us more than "It's coming soon." How soon? a few hours? a few days?

So I'm there... sitting in front of my computer, hoping to get in by some strange magic, refreshing my e-mails once in a while even if it is automatic, just in case. I'm reading forums on other website about other players who also want to play. Some of them are even ready to PAY for a beta key. Well... I don't know what to do now. Didn't plan anything else and I hate changing my plans :|

Guess all I can do now is just sit back, pick up on my hobby and wait for my phone to jingle with the e-mail.

So anyone know what time i should just give up on getting a beta invite? has in when there stopping the invitations? cause i'm the same situation has the other 1.0 players that didn't get a invite. I'm a sad panda right now and i'm just sitting here waiting for the possibility of a invite if there done sending invite i'd like to know if possible?

Another 1.0 player here and still nothing. My 1.0 friends all logged in no problem without keys. It would be nice to have some consistent updates on what the deal is.

Why are people saying they are 1.0 players on new accounts? How is that going to help you at all...

And yes, me including 5 other people I know still no keys. Its been like a day since last reply...

I know how the red tape works and lost in translation bla bla... But this is not being handled well relationship wise.
(Then again you already have "our" money so what was I thinking...)

My point here people is, Japanese CS is always tops; NA service has blown since XI 2002+

You give people good news then they hang for days; and another day after the Beta actually starts.
If you cant handle this you wont be doing so well on release. They should have the same on top of it mentality as the new Dev team has had.

Again all I'm saying is step it up yeah? And Please... I don't mean this as a jerk I say it as a customer who already dumped more then just box and time on this game.

Whats so hard about this, Forget the keys; just let 1.0 accounts go into the beta site at least till you fix it. Matter of fact apparently that is working for some of us 1.0 already...

With the partial release of the NDA I think I am allowed to say this...

I am a legacy player so I have been able to play. When I first logged in, it seemed like none of the NA servers were up and I ended up joining a JP server until one of the NA/EU servers came up. In the beginning of phase 3, it seemed like the only people in NA/EU that were playing were people who had already had beta codes since phase 2 or before. I honestly think the problem is a server issue. In other words, I think the NA/EU servers are not as up to snuff as they hoped and they are trying to get that fixed so they can accommodate everyone they promised to accommodate.

That's just my guess based on the server list I've been seeing. Even if I'm right, I have no idea how long it will be to fix, but I imagine they are working on it. I wouldn't be so quick to assume they don't care about us because let's face it... NA is a major part of their market. Plus, Yoshi-P *did* go through all the trouble of coming to E3 for three 12 hour days in a radically different time zone. He cares, I'm sure.

I don't think you have the right to tell people to "Relax" How can someone relax, with all the hype over the game including all the promises made to their Veteran players that stuck around 1.0, and these false hopes of entry into betas which many can't access gives us the right to be angry, even hasty.

Their is now a rush, this is on going for months now(im sure many have had this issue since phase 1). I am a legacy owner that was part of the alpha, and got invites since phase 1 of the official beta. I have received an email for each beta just telling me I am invited with NO CODES. I've also sat in chat rooms with a promise of my key for EVERY PHASE, yet I am still here waiting again.

So next time consider other peoples situations, rather than telling people what they should be doing... "relax?" "patience?" "let them do their job?" Can't relax anymore, patience is now out the window, and they arn't doing their job, these issues should have never happened if they were "Doing their job" in the first place. But we are here dealing with it now, so tough luck for them, get working harder many people are tired of contacting support.

I am a 1.0 player but no Legacy Status, when i try to log on into the beta forums i get only "When I try to log in it tells me "You could not log in because that service account has been cancelled." :((

I agree... Cant say im impressed by SE treatment for 1.0 players.
Been waiting for soooooo looooong to play this game and finally we get confirmation to participate and we are the lowest priority.
SE encounters an issue every single turn they take and too be honest...
27 august isnt a realistic date for the release when u can't even send out keys for the players, so I wont expect Arr to be released till end off sep or start of oct..

and here we are now at 24 hours since last and only update on issue and nothing...
O wait they gave an update on the ps3 players key issue tho...

I am confused, you say you are a legacy but you are waiting for another code? I am a legacy too and the beta code you received is good for all four phases of beta. In fact, one you enter your code and are a registered beta tester, you do not have to enter the code again. I do not know why you are waiting for yet another code...

There's 700,000 beta registrants. It's around 5,000 people per server. They even had to take down character creator for a bit to ease congestion traffic going into the game. If the people (1.0 players included, just because you haven't got your key yet doesn't mean every 1.0 player is going through the same thing) who HAVE got their keys are still working their way into the game - they're NOT going to keep spamming waves of keys out until the ACTUAL BETA is stable and running for the people already playing.

The only thing that "isn't realistic" is the majority of the attitudes people have about the first 24hrs of a beta test. You're excited, we get it - I am pretty excited as well and I'm still not playing either but this "WOE IS ME CAN'T BELIEVE SE WORST TREATMENT EVER" is really pathetic.

This as well. If you're waiting for the download link - there are other ways to download away from the forums. I downloaded the client without receiving an email. You don't need multiple registration codes. The ONLY thing was different was Alpha > Beta codes. The alpha registration was different from Beta1 - if you tested in Beta1 (actively played) you should be able to log in.

Okay but the problem is there are people who have played previous beta phases and can't access it at all. My account says I don't have beta access even though I played in 1.0 and previous beta phases. I log into the client and it asks for a code. Doesn't matter if it should work, the point is it's not.

Are you using the right client? Maybe it is different for legacy but I did not have to enter any code at all, I just jumped right in

Playing in 1.0 and playing in previous Beta phases are completely different things/problems though so try not to confuse them. There's obviously separate issues.

My friend played Beta phase 1 - did not play 2 at all - and is currently logged in playing Phase 3 with no additional email or key. He is not a legacy player although he did play in 1.0 just not Legacy status.

Why you cannot do that is a different problem from the majority of the complaints that are "I'm a legacy 1.0 player who hasn't got a key yet" scenario.
