Yeah... no, it's not just women.
Yep, you women and kids be safe. What if you post your sexy pictures (Tifa for example) to the internet? Maybe nerds would go whoa and ninja your pictures into their computer so they would do something with it, use it a 'lulz' meme, or maybe share all pictures to the world internet without your permission?
Technologically, your pictures were being downloaded into my computer by a web browser so I had to clean it out of the cache. That's why I don't post my RL pictures on the internet.
First this thread was okay for 2 or 3 posts then it started making me uncomfortable, then it got turned into a discussion about stalking and that made me much more uncomfortable.
And that's why people should not post pictures on the internet.
Oh u ppl, if u stalked Rukki enough u would know she loves attention *grins* >3
Seeing this as a hot-topic I thought. "Wow you people must of liked the LOC team"
Nope... just "lol you guys are low-lifes, nobody gives two shits, blah blah, this game sucks btw." You know... standard forum procedure between users.
Nice to see this forum coming back to what it was though.
Would be hilarious if Rukkirii leaves without saying any word on this thread after 28th. :3
You guys need to cool it down and say to her "thank you."
I wouldn't have known this had it not been posted since I don't follow her online. I don't know whether she's officially moved on yet or not, but since these forums are still public I'm sure she can read this thread if she wanted to.
Thanks for your service to the community here Rukkirii and I wish you the best of luck in Seattle.
I feel lost . .
I'm sad she will be going. It was nice to have a girl be on the Dev/Rep team.
Personally, people who post information about themselves on the internet need to expect the worst. Anyone can access it. Especially if the things you post are risque pictures of yourself. Sadly people get a bit obsessed with girls who reveal a bit too much about themselves on the internet.
Indeed, although I'm more sad that anyone they'd hire to replace her might not have the 1.0 experience to understand the wishes, complaints, and general discussions of the forums. This won't be as big a deal when ARR finally comes out, but people will always make references to 1.0.
Perhaps a couple of you should just simmer down.Quote:
I don't know how saying goodbye to someone that you found out is leaving "creepy". I say good luck to people I follow and don't know personally all the time!
I'll post a forum post about my departure as soon as I can so those who don't follow my socialness will know. I only posted on Twitter and FB first cause it's much easier and I knew the word would get around earlier.
I love the Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV communities so much. I'd never up and leave you guys wondering where I went. Who do you think I am? :P
-Rukkirri
...fyi she added me to a social site... so nyaa on the stalking bit.
...nyaa~!
Now, now, if we're going to discuss this on the official forums, we need to do it in our proper fashion:
"SE, you better give her a promotion and a raise because if she leaves FFXIV is doomed."
I have just made an executive decision
Reinheart, as one of the more popular people on the lodestone, you are now our newest community rep!
congratulations and good luck!
Disclaimer: Dub has no formal authority to make such decisions at the time of writing this or in perpetuity until the end of time
Lots of creepers in this thread. FF fanbase for you, I guess.
Ah well, someone will replace her. No harm done.
This....Quote:
I would feel the same way if Bayohne left or Camate or Fernehalwes or anyone else we see regularly left the team.
When someone leaves we wish him the best of luck even if we didnt hear it from them directly. That's how we handle it here and it would at least cheer me up knowing my work wasn't wasted....
So all the best Rukkirii thanks for your hard work.

I'm forced to see it both ways. I find creepers (and many posters in this thread) to be very distasteful, even cringeworthy.
On the other hand, it's hard to feel sympathy for people who engage in attention seeking hobbies, and then turn around and complain that they got more attention than they bargained for, or not the kind of attention they wanted. I'm not trying to blame the victim here, but I really think it goes both ways.
And back on topic, I'll just repeat what I said before in different words. For me personally, nothing of value was lost here. I have no opinion on the individual, positive or negative.
As an additional side note:
Having dated a cosplayer, never date a cosplayer. I'm not bitter, I'm experienced.
I'm pretty sure she'll still play xiv and i'm pretty sure she'll post on here, as one of us not a mod. So I don't think she's really going anywhere. Just one of the good ole boys now
Yeah, it definitely goes both ways >.< I suppose it depends on how much they learn from the "Experience" haha. Personally I was naïve and dumb and figured after spending like 6 months working on a costume...I could take pics in it and literally thought along the lines of.."Tee hee I'm gonna cosplay Sheryl and Yoko cuz they are so sexy and awesome and make cosplay friends! ^_^_^_^" when in reality...I made stalkers. Once I learned this the hard way (like a dumb fool) I deleted everything and sold my costumes.
I was so naïve I had no idea the kind of reaction and "stalkers" that would follow suit. Well, now I know and I shall not do it again. I don't need praise and attention from strangers to validate my existence (not saying all cosplayers or ppl do, just me personally) anyway, enough about this LOL I was just trying to explain to some folks why this thread comes off as creepy, didn't want to go so off topic!
I wish I could date a hawt cosplayer. =(
yeah, I find you creepers to be incredibly off putting, but that's just me.
then again, this thread is no more creepy than the "super general" thread with people randomly making poems and other creepy crap for the OP (who I guess must be a girl).
guys: lose some weight and go outside. there are a lot of girls. I think about half the population or so.
what creepy is when people really act on dumb shit, not guys have there ways of fawning over a cute girl. I mean you automatically assume all these people who are fawning over a awesome chick like rukrirkikeirkekirkeikreikreik are fat and need to go outside. first of all most guys would fawn over her, and second of all I mean she's just has a cool personality, nothing wrong with that. Sorry NONE of these guys on here aren't half as creepy as the dudes I've seen on other websites.

We will miss you Rikkirii... This is her last week.

SsssssssssssssssssssssSSSSSsssss!
Since you addressed me personally I am inclined to respond.
Yes I am female and I am not unattractive. No it does not make a lalafell lick of a difference.
Yes ONE person wrote a silly, happy poem. No it is not creepy, it's creative and fun and there is not enough of it in this world.
You are basically conveying that you wish people here to not react socially in a social setting. Regardless of it being IRL or on the internet this is a Community. We are sad when someone leaves that we like, we are happy when we can give something to someone else and we are happy to receive things as well.
If you are incapable of relating to this sort of activity then you should take yourself somewhere where you are more comfortable.
