FF14 stay Pay-To-Play please! (F2P = No thanks!)

I played tons of free mmorpg, it's disappointing when you get to that point if don't pay more and more can't keep going foward, like when you spent $100+ in one month and than find it wasn't worth.

microtransations is powerful but I don't think FFXIV mas made for it. watch this: Extra Credits: Microtransactions

lol i tried swtor f2p for 15 minutes since my brother plays it, realized i had a 35k or 350k credit(gil) cap, even though most everthing on the auction house is at least a mil or not worth buying, and logged off never to return. i understood they did it to counter RMT exploits but it just made me realize theres no way im gonna waste my time. I dont see where these ppl imagining f2p is a viable option would enjoy the extreme measures every f2p (that even tries to prevent RMT) puts on its members to avoid RMT exploits of the 'free' accounts. except for the fact that they want the micro-transactions, which would cost more than the p2p. but they dont care cause they just want to play a game where they feel they have an unfair edge.

Yea I tried out swtor again and I hit the exit game as soon as I've seen all the restrictions on it know p2p way to go not f2p.

mostly every FF fan know thats P2P is the way to go and not F2P ^^

I prefer P2P :3
Everytime I'm on a Free to play game always someone standing in the middle of town spamming "Get gold here" -,- Drives me nuts...
Also :3 Keeps the game having more value and keeps me involved more because I'm wanting to make the most of my money.

allow f2P for levels 1-10, thats a good way to get new ppl. full f2P will only bring micro trans setup...

If SE had a cash shop for this game where you could buy a chocobo suit, a little moogle to follow you around, or different costumes for your companion, people would spend money for it. And they'd spend more money as more nostalgic stuff became available for purchase. How about a buster sword you can use to remodel one weapon to look like it? Or special furniture for your house? How about packs of tetra master cards if they put that in? People would eat this up, period. A few of you might not like it for basic reasons like not being able to afford it or w/e but let's face it-- SE makes a ton of money on nostalgia and if they implemented even a cosmetic cash shop you'd all consider buying at least one of the cute, adorable things they'd tempt you with! It's evil but it's true and I am 100% certain that idea has already come across the table.

Edit: this is irregardless of a subscription model.

Why post this after Yoshi specifically said that they had no plan to go F2P? That's like asking them to remake the game after they've stated their intention of remaking the game...

Though I can think of some games that are "free to play" that I'd be hooked on if ff didn't exist, I'd much rather a pay to play game. :p because those free to play games I'm thinking of.. Were very short lived.
