Little bit of both.

The first person to reply was Vilhelm who mentioned he was on the Phoenix server. I was still a bit apprehensive to start but it then popped into my head that it would be the most appropriate place to start over. Then others began to say they were on Phoenix so I just ran with it.

I'd like the LS to be themed after it. Tried to match up the color to early Dalamud as much as possible. Called it Rapiemur, which is Latin for Rapture, which was XIV's code name before it was announced at E3 09'.

Phoenix served seemed appropriate. If you want to come back and do the playthrough that I outlined in the OP you can start in Bastok to make things easier.

I'm currently online as well; made a small LS for our XIV mates that were coming over but doesn't seem many will be coming at this point (thanks WoW >.<). Only problem is, the LS mates that did come are with Sandy, but I'm about to get them rank 4. Rank 10 Sandy, rank 8 Bastok myself :)

We're just chilling in the Metalworks for now waiting for people to log in and get shells. Not much is going to be happening tonight. Pretty much just using XI as a chat client for the time being.

We'll get some events going here soon though once we start getting people situated.

Well we were able to gather a decent group of people last night. Hope to see you all tomorrow in game. Go ahead and post some event ideas here if you'd like.

I know before Inertia logged out she said that she was recording footage for a Let's Play. That should be really cool. I was thinking of making a "Coming back to Vana'diel" type strategy guide video thing too.

I had fun shootin' the breeze with you guys last night.

This is actually somewhat tempting, and I planned on being on FFXI anyways, but it'll be at least 2 weeks until I can play, more than likely, so by the time I'd even have a chance I'd be behind.

Sorry man I was unable to stay up. I'll get you a linkpearl tomorrow if you're on. I'll be on later though because I have a long day of work ahead of me but if you get a hold of someone that I've listed in the OP they should be able to give you a pearl.
