The good news for you then is that will likely be the forced rate in ARR - so you will know no difference.

But unless something wild comes out it really sounds like us 1.0 players got it in easy mode, I cant wait for the entitled elite and then the newbs are kicking our ass because they played it harder lol

want to talk about hard work it took me 8 months to get that crown and i was playing till i had to go to work get home play till sleep then rinse and repeat and as far as the relics go se reserves the right to modify the finial save at any time and another thought maybe the relics in 2.0 are totaly different and harder to get or the upgrade is even harder or may be they might follow the ff xi approch to the af wep and relic/mythic and one more thing we never got our af wep when they metioned it only relics so it maye be

I wouldn't complain about a free relic, it would be not be fair on the people who earned theirs however.

If what Yoshi says can be taken for fact ARR will be harder then 1.0 in many aspects. Even the item system may have a "harder" average time - just a less frustrating design structure.

We really shouldn't be rewarded anymore - no one is thinking about how the 2.0 players will feel. Our characters are pretty much rigged in advantage.

And damn you leveled the slow way lol - though that way will probably be one of the only ways in ARR. You can easily get all characters to max in two weeks if you played as long as you said you had (using the efficent PL methods). Unless till I go to work means 20 mins.. lol

If they give us one relic we would still be able to obtain the others, so balance this view and it would be fair, also with the amount of people who have all relics (do they even exist) at least 99% of players would get the free relic which makes it fair.

I personally don't know anyone who is 8/8 on relics, so from what I can see everyone would be able to get one.

The only Reason they handed Stuff like that out, is the final save was allready. Keeping it would need another save and that would fuck a lot of people up. Not only those who "deserve" having it, also people who burnd their money to try tier IV quad-meld and shit, or just fucked around with making materia out of +3, triple melded gear and so on. Its a total slap in the face for almost everyone, kept those greedy guys which wants to keep the relic the found under their bed.

They will have their own server - for a time.

They may also join ours.

I never said anything about everybody is a winner. I said that 1.0 players are trying to feed themselves candy like a fat kid with twinkies. I like things that mean something, and I like equal opportunity (which is not everybody is a winner).

I would never accept a fully done relic but I dunno if I could turn down an "Unfinished (instert weapon here)" or the hamlet seals. :P

I plan on getting mine come ARR regardless if I can muster up the cash so i don't expect anything extra in ARR except even more fun.

I am just worried that someday the level cap will be raised over 50, then all these fancy relic weapons and other shiny things won't be as fancy or shiny.

Thats why they are going to be upgradeable.

idk i think letting the free relics carry over would be nice. one free relic for everyone isnt a slap in the face for anyone who earned it the hard way as they would be getting ANOTHER relic for free >_>

If they made stages of relic like in FFXI, and the reward for fighting the town was a stage 0 relic then fine. But players who earned the relic legitly should be quite a few stages higher (lets say stage 3), enough so that the time they spent to get their relics is also required by you to get within that same power. Players with 8/8 relics should then get a reward, like the ability to boost 1 relic a stage beyond what they had previously (stage 4?).

This would negate issue for 1.0 players who put in a lot of work. However adding more of these freebies still disgrace incoming 2.0 players as we got "easy mode". Also.. its just plain easy mode in general lol

And why would the Grand Companies reward relics, which are lore items of the OLD, unrelated to any kind of Grand Company? Gerolt is a complete drunkard, he wouldn't willingly create millions of relics for the Grand Companies just because they requested him to. ARR is a completely different game...so? How would that justify getting a CURRENT game's best weapons for free? Where is your justification for relics suck? There is no reason to make relics less than what they are.

Again my justification is SE offering one final Thank you for sticking around to the very end. One relic is not a slap in anyone's face because everyone will have the choice, if they offer a NPC to give current players relics in ARR and you CHOOSE not to take it, it's your fault and you have no reason to complain... Again this would be to ALL current players.

if you want relic in 2.0, earn it. drop the moaning entitlement. where does it end? free darklight? free 100million gil? free chocobo with 700% movement speed? a button you can push for whatever you want in the game, whenever you want it? lifetime of free play because you paid for a couple months of 1.0?

they've thanked us enough. legacy get a special chocobo and a fee discount in 2.0. we already have tokens to remember 1.0 by (even if you didn't get white ravens, there's still dalamud horn and goobbue, among other things).
