Longer hair styles are harder to stop from clipping (not impossible but harder).

Beard slider would be cool, I want to see some "older" options as well - like louisoix.

Sliders? No, the devs are trying to keep latency down so we won't get any real sliders in our char creation. (It should be obvious why)



Also, Triairy has confirmed we ARE getting more hairstyles post-beta (thx to Reinheart, as always) My guess is we will get the existing hidden ones as it will take very little work to implement them.

After that, more styles when the barber system is in place!

Some ppl like you want more hairstyles for immersion purposes going for the more unique goal yet using /display head off is a contradiction to immersion you are wearing a hat to protect your head yet is not there to be seen so you will get wacked on the head un-protected :P

so i think that lalafells for example will receive new hairstyles to have the same amount of hairstyles like of the other races.. (i think yoshida was talking about balancing the amount of options for all races).

a little bit disappointing to not have more new hairstyles to all races from the beginning on.. but well. im wondering what is taking so long about it.

SE said around launch of the initial client that they would soon implement more hair styles.

SE has been pretty good about keeping even those promises that they made a long ass time ago so I expect them to make good on this. The current selection of hair styles isn't going to cut it, and they knew this even back when the game launched.

No, Triary's answer is more specific. We will be getting some new hairstyles with the beta client, the release client as well as after the release once the barber npc is implemented. Which means more than just a few lalafell hairstyles Sasu is speaking of.

In fact, them implementing a barber npc means they could release new hairstyles periodically throughout the game life...

well... its not that important anyways.. but your quote just say there are new hairstyles coming.. which sounds for all races.. which isnt true.

sasu is not speaking about lalafell haircuts in specific that is what i am thinking... because yoshida said they want to balance the amount of options to all races.

so i think there wont be new haircuts for female miquote and hyuran for example, they are active in the current alpha.. where as lalafell etc. have been deactivated, im sure they are one of the races who received new hairstyles.

which is more specific.. yours is speaking about "in general" but did not tell us, some races wont receive any new haircuts till release.

Let's just say the one response is more specific about which races are getting the upgrades @release while the other is more about us not only getting new haircuts at release, but also at beta and post-release...

they need to make it more nicer hair style then that is now XD give us more choice please :D

Yes please... SE, please add more hairstyles in FFXIV ARR. I love the diversity that it brings... plus (most importantly), I can tweak my character to look exactly like this excellent chap...
