who? Arthars and Luxanna? What like 2 members? Maybe they have a 3rd idk, But Legacy runs during US prime-time hours therefor making them what I would consider to be a NA linkshell. If the Ls is primarily made up of NA players and runs during NA hours I would consider them NA. If GT is like that then I am sorry, I think they are a good shell and like I said I give credit where credit is due.

Because US linkshells have a bad rap for treating their EU members poorly. Happened alot in XI, especially pre-ToAU, happens in XIV.

Im not even EU and I can admit the poor treatment. Its why many EU shells are EU-exclusive.

So you guys are bottom of only 2 endgame linkshells on your server, but you also got beat to ifrit by a linkshell of what you guys call "social".

A good linkshell in my opinion is one who strives for server 1st's etc and can come up with their own ideas/stragtegies.

Getting 7/7 relics this late in the game does not make you good but means you have alot of play time and gil.

You guys havent even beat darnus yet which if i was going to advertise my linkshell (which I wouldn't as it seems kinda desperate and I wouldn't want people to switch servers only to find out they dont make the cut) then I would at least make sure to clear all content in the game.

A good respected linkshell will have applicants apply to them, they should'nt need to advertise everywhere.

that Luxanna's linkshell legacy beat ifrit like a month before you guys did lol aswell as being helpfull to the community with strategies/guides etc. If I was going to apply to any linkshell on your server it would be them, you cant compare youselves top 2 with them IMO.

Sorry I may be sounding harsh just advice I guess, you guys may get better as you are only a new shell, but you dont seem too appealing for a good player to leave their server to apply to you which makes me think you will only get average skilled players applying or complete A*holes who have been banished from all linkshells.

And I know "pffft we never had an alliance" I know, but I felt like you should know the type of respect we once had for you guys, and how your actions made you lose it, and how you still seem to make similar mistakes. But yeah you're not here to make friends with the world. Just to win and let others lose regardless of who they are. If they aren't in your LS they mean nothing.

It's a lot more cocky than Runic's, I guess you didn't notice, which, isn't your fault, but I guess you should have discussed it with your LS mates before posting it, and if they thought it was a great idea, a) they may be kinda scared of contradicting you and getting kicked (which I doubt =p you're harsh but I don't think you'd get to that point) or b) they too have let the success of the ls cloud their judgement, as you can tell for the negative feedback you've been getting. Although you were gonna get plenty of it for the simple fact that you posted on multiple server specific forums. Again, not bashing you for it, just stating facts.

Ok, so I cut a few things from your post to leave the things I wanted to talk about.

Just because you're the leader of the LS, and you know what you're looking for in players, doesn't mean you're the most presentable person. You seem to lack charisma. One of the main reasons why Ruinc would have been better to post for recruitments is that he seems to have had a "neutral" reputation as not too many people know him, and was a lot more inviting, not to mention he didn't consider anyone a "waste of time" instead, he stated exactly the kind of people you guys are looking for. Lol I can't believe I actually have to explain this to you. And yes lol we have partied before. For small things, but we've done it. Back in Bodhum anyhow, and your attitude was quite unpleasant =/ I wasn't the only one who thought the same. As I stated before, not everyone is going to fit in with every LS.

I actually was thinking of joining RareEx during the time I was shell-less cause a friend who was already in it recommended it, and praised ya guys, but the requirement at that time was kind of...ridiculous, which was, if I'm not mistaken, and correct me if I'm wrong, that you needed to have all hamlet seals for the relic weapon(s). Now the only reason I say it was ridiculous is cause for a person coming back after a 2 month needed break, without an LS, couldn't really do hamlet since at that time no PUGs were going on. It was LS exclusive left and right. Which, makes sense, same as your pre-req since, you guys didn't want to go back to doing that, you stated why, but again it goes to show how you close opportunities to people who may be very skilled players.

I know my case back then was "well, tough luck kid". So to "not waste your time" I didn't bother to apply, but no, I'm not butt hurt about this, just using this as another example of how you guys shut out people who are skilled, cause I'm sure there were plenty others that had similar issues as I did, and funny enough, I don't even find relics to be worth the time or gil at the moment. So I guess I'll never qualify. Oh well~

Also, I highly doubt "good players" like you, and "bad players" don't. I know a lot of very skilled players that scoff at your name, but yeah I also know a few that have either left willingly or been kicked from the LS who don't like you either be it from Adrenaline or RareEx. Again that's just you getting cocky. You should really stop that. You have members in there that don't like you, and I know 'em, they only tolerate it due to the whole "in it to win it attitude" so don't go all thinking you're great buddies with all of them.

Legacy did beat ifrit a month before us as so did GT because we didn't even make our linkshell until almost 6 weeks after hamlets came out. Shows how much you truely know.

Not saying what has been said about your ls is true or not, but you're hunting down/photoshoping screenshots of people and slandering their name to make them look bad just because they did the same to you. Some people are just not very chatty. I've been following FFXIV closely ever since it was announced, made a character back in 2010, but I didn't bother with forums until last month. The LS is recruiting by advertising. A lot of advertisement are always "spammy." Isn't this the same shiet you get in your mailbox every day/week by retail stores, or the food stores in your city? Also, you should probably read over your recruitment post. The type of language you use, "...easily one of the top 2 NA shells" "...please don't waste my time and I won't waste yours", as well as the unnecessary information in the introduction "...being a good linkshell always gives you a bad name". This kind of language would give the impression of being cocky, since you are giving off the impression that you are better than everyone else (which you're not).

Just one little thing though. Being a good linkshell does not give you a bad name, but in the manner you conduct yourself with others. Honestly, how you and your members conducted yourself throughout this whole thread, is a shining example of how you get a bad name. If a player is bad, and you call them out for being bad, or you kick them for being bad, that will affect your own image, and the image of your linkshell. There are other ways of dealing with this in a much more respectable manner. Maybe changing how you recruit members, or giving them tips on their gameplay.

Careful Drenite, you might get told off because you don't have as many levels as them.

But from what you've said, I'd much rather play with you and not progress as fast than play with Excalibur's Short Bus Brigade.

What do people not get??? I am not a "LIKEABLE" social linkshell trying to recruit nice go-lucky people like yourself and anybody else in this thread that has a problem with my mentality or the mentality of my linkshell. Just because you guys don't like it doesn't mean that there isn't someone out there who does. I honestly don't understand why there are people that aren't even level 50 in my thread trying to tell me how to run "My" not your Endgame linkshell. Out of all of the people that has had a problem with the mentality of myself or linkshell, I don't think there is a person in here that would of been accepted if they had applied. I don't understand what you guys don't understand about trying to recruit a small/select few that have the same feelings about the game as we do. I don't sit around going into Social recruiting threads bashing the way you recruit your "social" / "casual" members, so why do you have such a problem with the way I am recruiting the type of members I want? The purpose of this thread is to "NOT" draw the interest of people exactly like Issachar and many others who do more trolling on the forums then they actually even play the game, but instead discourage them from applying because they do nothing but cause drama.

At the risk of potentially stirring this all up again I don’t see why this thread has gone the direction it has.

Before I start I am just going to say that I have no affiliation to the Rare Ex Linkshell or anyone else in this thread (except Yuri San) and this is just based on my opinion having scanned/read this thread, I am aware that posts have been edited and therefore I may have missed any controversial comments that were removed.

It was originally a cross server LS recruitment similar to what BG wished to do in the general forum, the BG post was subsequently moved by mods to the Durandal world subforum but you cannot deny that a large proportion of the people that use the forums, saw the post and were therefore aware of the recruitment drive.

(Add onto the fact that BG are as far as I am aware the most well known LS in FF14 means that they do not have to work as hard to get noticed).

Op saw that this happened, used their initiative and posted in the world subforums to make people who only look at their own world subforums aware that there is recruitment drive going on for 2.0 on other servers.

I see no problems with this and considering no action has been taken by a mod to move or delete this thread I am assuming it is not viewed as a violation of the world forum rules even if it states that the Ridil forum is for Ridil players only.

It is true that OP's post may irritated some people by saying that they were in the top 2NA LS's in the server, that sort of statement is hard to validate so it may have been better to leave it out and let people make their own assumptions of the quality of the Linkshell based on its achievements (relic and white raven etc, etc).

The fact that the first comment basically slagged off Op on his grammar, formatting and linguistics seems to be almost petty/snobbish.

I will be first in line to say that my english written skills are very poor, I never cared much for it in a casual setting, why should anyone else be any different? Who cares if it is the sign of a good leader or a bad leader, doing a trial wont kill you, if you like what you see then keep going and if you don’t then stop trailing with them.

If you plan on moving servers to join an LS you would think that they would do a bit of homework on the LS in question first and if you think you have made a mistake they are allowing server changes for a fee I believe in 2.0 so it wont kill you.

The spamming comment I can't talk about, I do not use the forums enough to see everything that gets posted so I will leave it at that but as mentioned before, it is an advertisement and these are normally spammed anyway.

The flame war that has ensued from that point onwards should not really have happened, every other world forum has a max of 4-5 replies with the exception of Excaliber and Ridil which to me says to me that it is a very small minority who are affected/care enough to coment on it but now there is a 12 page argument for all to see (¬_¬).

Made good reading for my lunch break I suppose.

And yes this account has less than 100 posts, I am fairly sure I am not an alt but if you find out otherwise then let me know because it's starting to worry me :).
