great stuff. that seems more like professional cosplaying level.
next in the agenda? colliseum equipment

Thanks ^^
Hmm well I'm deciding between the race specific outfit or dragoon outfit. But I guess I'll prefer the first one.
Otherwise I'll die with all that armor during summer xD
Colliseum gear wouldn't be a good choice since I don't have a perfect body ^^;;
Sure :3
I'll try to make some patterns and a description tomorrow. How shall I sent it to you when I'm done?
Seems like I can't send you a PM or something like that xD
I wish I made some work in progress Pics of the weapons. It would make the explanation a lot easier hehe. At least I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. My English isn't that good lol.
Here some "raw" shots of them. Before they got their leather covering, painting, details etc. ^^
Don't mind the size, the first pair got too big. (more for men size haha)
That's why I made a second pair and my twin could have the first set =PPP
ya I'm an evil genius hah! I got my sis to cosplay as a PUG this way :D
I put a long stick between the grip and the holder of the claws to get enough stabilization.

I hope this will help you :D
Hehe, it's so nice to make some tutorials ^^
You can watch/download it on my deviantart Page here: http://evil-siren.deviantart.com/art...0%3A1349287706
I hope, there aren't too many typos >__<

I told Babydoll on here before (but on Facebook) that she should try to make some BRD AF clothes lol I thought that would've suited her well. I like the idea for the banghnakhs; did you invent that yourself (the step-by-step process)?
Speaking of patterns...have any of you made paper patterns for these costumes? You could convert them to PDFs and share them on the internet.

Thats a nice idea Sivara ^^
Haha but I'm not sure if ppl would use mine, if i would make some patterns in photoshop. All the patterns I made are more like approximately/circa (or whatever u call it ^^) patterns on brown paper. I often throw them away once I'm done.
Update can i haz it :?
Okaaay, i have a little news... the good news is that my bard AF is completely finished now :D i added the last few details and it's ready to rock this week n_n
The bad news is that due to complications i'd rather not discuss the monk AF is being pushed back to may. (don't worry, it's not a relationship issue)
So here are some quick snaps i took after completion, i'm going to arrange a shoot and put up lots of pics i get from the convention :)

To finish I added the shoes which I painted and sewed on the tassels on the left hand side, and sewed the gems onto the back. I know the costume isn't 100% and there are a couple of teeny details missing but as a first costume I think i've done pretty well :) (I'm hiding my face because I have a little bit of an eye infection :( good news is it's almost healed :D )

/airquotes :D
In terms of the ringbands, i've opted for painting them on my arms on the day, i've done a couple of trial runs and they seem to look pretty good :) the metallic paint i'm using really makes them stand out :D In terms of a weapon however, it's looking like another project for may, unless i can purchase one at the convention. I'll have to see.
If there are any poses you think I should do on the day, let me know and i'll see if i can get them posted :D A huge thank you to all your support and i'll keep you updated on the Monk AF progress as I go.
That looks great! Grats on finishing it ^^
Your bard AF looks awesome!!
oooo, really dangerous crafting here O_o!!!
I don't know why but i thought of smooth criminal with the /pose pic
Nice work ^_^
Holy hells! You're an awesome seamstress :) I used to look at the Bard AF and try to imagine myself making Bard AF for my doll but I gave up the idea LOL! Really nice work and it suits you very well, now you just need a Bard Relic to go with it hehehe ;)
Good job and thanks for sharing! It is very nice to see such dedication!
Very nice <3
Someone has some talent. Great job, that looks awesome! I can't wait to see your Monk set ~.^

Looks great :D
I also cosplay time to time this year i did Hildibrand at TGS
Pleeaasee wander past comic village, I'll be stuck at my table but I wanna see your awesomeness in person!
Where's his monocle!?
I'm actually making the Artifact bow for ACen in May. :o Granted, I'm kind of a "bigger" guy, so I'm going to be skipping a few bits on the artifact... >_> Mainly...
1) No open parts to show skin on body.
2) The pants will be more red than pink. No opening on them either. :x
I'm working on the bow first because I think all the cutting and details are going to take longer than the costume itself. Though I will be working on the costume from time to time. Very nice job btw! :D
EDIT: Here's a roughdraft of the bow. Tbh though, I just took screenshots of my friend (who has the bow) and enlarged the screenshot on my monitor (TV acting as one.) Then I used painter's tape to tape paper onto the screen and traced the design. I'm pretty sure the length limit is 4ft for the convention I'm going to, which is more than enough length to work with. My main problem is going to be all the details. @@
