I vote 100% drop on everything in the final week because NOTHING will be saved on character progression.. so it wouldnt matter what dropped lol..

Hello everyone!
Don't worry! In A Realm Reborn you will still be able to obtain primal weapons, so if you haven't gotten one just yet, there will be opportunities in the future.
With that said, the development team is not thinking to change the drop rates to 100% since they will still be available in A Realm Reborn.
Well, this should make a lot of people happy. Not knowing whether primal weapons would be obtainable or not after ARR was a hot topic.
Isn't this whole thread about the week where no data is saved and therefore just for fun?
Think OP just needed clarification
Will the drop rate at least be a little higher? dont know what it is currently but i've heard it is pretty dismal. i've only done the low level ifrit myself so far, just got lev 45 DRG so i'm hoping to get some groovy stuff in another 4-5 levels.
Well I've been rushing around to gather Garuda weapons like crazy, most of the people in my group got all of their weapons in a couple of days, half from drop, half from totems. I've gotten no weapon drops in well over 50 kills, I lost count now. I was going to end up having to get all of my weapons with Totems, but now I guess I can just get whichever I want and wait until 2.0 for the rest. ;D
I read that Yoshida plans on making content not a continuous grind over and over - is this repetitiveness of change to the loot system? (not 100% of course, but a change to make grinding 40 runs no item win not possible?)
Zezlar above me mentioned something about this. Can we have more info on or when more info will be available for the loot system - I have a serious bone to pick with RNG lol.
For Justin Bieber to burn in hell for his crimes against the sanctity of music, like this post.
AND NOW.....

BACK ON TOPIC!
OMG OMG OMG OMG thank you thank you thank you! I am still trying to get final two moogle weapons plus all Garuda weapons. I am so glad you guys finally gave us an answer ^^. So many people were claiming that they would not be available come 2.0 with a quote from YoshiP essentially saying Primals will still be there but drops may not be the same.
So much <3 to you Camate
Give us a way to progressively work to get these weapons please.
Totems/Nuts etc = 75%-100% drop
Weapons = 50-75%
Remove seal sink from primal weapons at same time.
TBH I'm so sick of weapon drop rate, I just never bother with these battles anymore.
Yeah and when you get all of your weapons a day or two after the content is out, you'll never do it again either.
I still think its amazing they took months, literally months, to confirm avatar weapons on 2.0; could have spent my time doing rivenroad.
I'm not thanking a soul for this information coming out just now.
Yeah it's this mentality that just makes feel like people are so selfish...
*You weren't here in 1.0, so they shouldn't make it obtainable in 2.0 because I'm a Legacy player! I got all the weapons to shut down that content so I can dances around noobs saying " haha hahahahaha, I have all these weapons and you don't!*
give me an F'in break (I'm quoting you because I agree with you). This IS still FFXIV and as such things that SE wants to keep in there (Primal Weapons so other people can get them as well in the relaunch) then so be it.. they are really awesome weapons to make to just be for "1.0 users", why not put it in 2.0 and gives people more things to accomplish in 2.0.
It was everyone's fault for assuming that SE was going to just throw away a bunch of preexisting items that would make little sense to remove in 2.0.
Bolded because apparently it's hard to believe that a dev would reuse assets. We've already got our exclusive content, and the gear reform. Why the fuck would they remove this as well? Hell I imagine the imperial operative stuff will still be salvagable from one of the many imperial camps laid around Eorzea.
They already listed out what is missable at lodestone, its not their fault people like you are so dumb and feel the needs to assume primals weapons are not going to be at ARR.
SE PLZ CONFIRM IF THORMOAN SUBLIGAR WONT BE AT ARR??????????????? I NEED MAH SUBLIGAR, STOCK DEH TEH SUBLIGAR.
Why all the hate? First of all, they listed missable achievements on the lodestone. Secondly, Yoshi himself is the one who said the primals would be in 2.0 in a different way than how we know them now and the ability to acquire their weapons may not be. It seems silly to venomously lambaste people for taking him at his word as if they were wrong for doing so.
It's more her attitude for blaming SE for everything when in the first place, it was them that assumed wrongly. What Majidah's post reeks of is just general bitching because she assumed that there would be no primal weapons in ARR, and grinded Primals, and now blames SE for that 'wasted time'. The problem is that SE never said it - it was her entirely own choice and assumption, so what she said is utterly disrespectful as a player. SE did not make any kind of mistake as far as I'm aware - they're not even entitled to provide us with such information until ARR strikes. And yet they do.
Except Yoshida said that the only real difference would be the way the primals play out (having different strats than they currently do), and that the aetheryte to get to said primal will be moving around constantly to prevent camping. They said nothing about drops changing, or primals being removed, or whatever other asinine ideas were running through people's heads. The missable content is the Goobbue, which SE had been nagging on was going to be removed.
They nagged so much that people actually complained about them warning you that you could miss an item completely.
Your memory is inaccurate. He made several specific statements about primal drops possibly not being available in 2.0. Here are two of them.

Q: Will new players who start playing after 2.0 get to experience the current main scenario? Also do they get to challenge instanced raids and primal battles that are available now?
A: First of all, please be aware that the main scenario and the Seventh Umbral Era aren't really the same thing. Players who start after 2.0 should be able to experience the former.
Regarding instanced raids, they will basically remain as it is and they'll be carried over to 2.0. Now with the primal battles, some plots are connected with the Seventh Umbral Era. I say that there is a good chance their appearance may change in 2.0. Some will remain the same, some won't. So basically, the current game balance and the current reward will only be available now. Some of those items already exist.

However, after version 2.0 launches, some content will be removed or changed for quests related to "The Seventh Umbral Era" as well as new Primal content. Expect this new content to introduce items and achievements that otherwise can’t be obtained in version 2.0 (or after).

Hmm.
I wonder if there going to go back and add primal weapons for arcanist and future jobs/classes.
