Fighting Atomos~

Just wondering if other servers are getting a ton of lag and crashes with Atomos. :3
I guess I should just stay at one place...

Durandal hit capacity just now. capacity. overladed servers are why atomos spawn is wonky.

And as a note ive been grinding atomos since the patch went live nonstop. not until 30m ago did atomos fail to spawn at any camp.

if you didnt see him:
A: hes already dead
B: too many characters nearby to display him
C: He got trained away (possibly not, people think it may be a bug that he flies off like he has an appointment)

You would think that, but unless there is something I am missing he leaves a trail of mobs as hes running away to wherever the hell he goes. Its nearly impossible for him to actually have died in the time that it took us to get to bluefog because pretty much everyone on the server knew that glory was where our servers meeting point was, and by the time we got to bluefog like ~ minutes after the original glory spawn he was nowhere to be found. I even ran all the way to cutters cry and didn't see him there.

So, like I said, I might be missing something but all of the possibilities you ruled out seem highly unlikely in the times he wasn't at bluefog for us. You would think when you have 300 people teleporting out there atleast one person would be able to see the mob if he was there, especially when we all ended up teleporting to somewhere that he was confirmed at.

I think this is just a stress test for the upcoming 24-man content.
And the 'You are #1 in the queue' is a big troll.

Likely a clever stress test for their server down finale event. Doesn't seem to be going too well.

Staying away from Atomos for now... but when he pops the first time the fight is so fierce it lags in Limsa.

anyone else noticed that atomos appeared for one second after the stone disappear ?

Once you kill Atomos, will it respawn again at the same camp during the window? 18h-0h

Oh, if i trade my cluster, will i get another one for killing it?

Yes, so you can do it again, turn in cluster and do it again. But because of lags you wont be able to do more then 3 atomos kills at one run from 18:00 - 00:00.

Not really related to atomos~, but those magicked prism (maelstrom/immortalflames/twin adder) give lodestone achievements, so might wanna trade with people that have them for all you achievement hunters o=

awesome! the whole atomos thing in 1.23a was a pain in the ass to get claim on.

How long will event last? It doesnt have end-date on the lodestone, but the title says "Foundation Day Returneth! (09/11/2012)" So it just means its 1 day? I wasnt around last year so i dunno.

SOmeone said i needed to talk to the Admiral to start this, but I can't seem to find where to talk to her at (i am from limsa). I have the option to turn in crystals with the event npc, is that all I need?

You dont need to talk to anyone to start it. Just go out there and touch the voidstone after atomos is dead then go turn in the cluster you get.

You dont need to talk to anyone, just head to them camps and beat Atomos and turn in the cluster at the Galka NPC at the event location on the city.

because he dies faster in bluefrog so when they go to glory they kill it again

Anyone know if there's a rotation in place, or are the camp spawns random?

Is it me or has anyone else not gotten the Achievement? I've witnessed him die about 30 times now. Participated in the onslaught about 25~ times. Have clicked Voidstone a total of 3 times each time before it disappears and nothing. No achievement. Am I missing something? Help?

you get the achievement when you get the cluster .

You should get a cluster if you dont have 1 already

I have a cluster. Must I turn it in to get achievement?

Maybe you got it already and didn't realize it. Check your achievements under seasonal events. It is the crystal bearer achievement at the bottom.

Anyone know where can we ask the gm's about the end of the event? I totally cant get United we Stand done because no ppl actually want to do it and was hoping for it to last more than 1 day :/ - been capped at 1 rank before last for awhile and there isnt much point in continuing before United we Stand :(

Ask to your ls , and with the gain of seals there will be a lot of people who will want to do it .
Me i'll just keep the quests for ARR =)
