That's my very plan. A fresh start for the new release. Start from the ground up on a new server with new friends and a new LS.

Step out of the Inn or where ever SE has us start, and /stretch, /cheer.

1. Recreate character. I've waited damned near a decade to play a non-female Mithra, time to make it happen.
2. Switch to a lv 1 class. Lancer is looking good.
3. Explore all the things as though I'm new.
4. Actually invite someone to my LS and get the party started.

I really hope they don't hand out the arcanist book for small amounts of gil.. still. I'll be the negative neyney to want that.

Someone said this on like, page 2/3/4, but I dun really care about the whole "Oh your in the credits!" since there will be some 40k+ names to sift threw.

My plan is to do the GSM quests after the final save, then do them again in 2.0. I'm assuming the class quests will still be around because of the achievements, so I would like to see how they are changing in 2.0.

The WHM quests talk about the Seventh Umbral Era, so I wonder if they'll be changing as well.

I figured out what I am going to do.

Get a grimoire, summon carbuncle, the smash him in the face with said grimoire. repeat till he stops moving then /chuckle.

by the way it's through not threw (you don't throw something when you look through it)

Explore the new world, jump over things and try to see the limit of jumping (come on the forum to make, hopefully, constructive criticism to make jumping better and purposeful), examine the new UI in detail and the new possibilities, etc.

Honestly, I don't know, but I'll definitely do the first two! :D

Spend in awful long time in character creation making the most seixest Manqo'te you'll ever lay your eyes on.

Once that's done, I'll probably go to Grid or Uld and wear my Coliseum Galerus and Subligar and hit on the ladies.

This is a really fantastic and positive thread, which is nice to see for a change (with the exception of someone talking about the servers crashing :P)

First thing I'll do is probably go over my menu with a fine-tooth comb to see if there are many changes.. then probably get together with some of the people I've met so far in FFXIV and maybe hit the forest together for some exploring.

Never understood the fascination of trying to show off some gear to noobs. Feels good to wear rare armor that's for sure. Always remembered wearing the dragon mini hauby when leveling dragoon. Better to show off and be humble in my opinion. Especially when they raise the level cap and a lot of gear will have little worth. Me, totally looking forward to exploring again and finding my place.

I'm getting attacked by mancats as soon as 2.0's servers come online... /stare @ Niccolo
But if I survive that, I'll be meddling with graphics settings and taking a billion screenshots.

Thinking of a new server to move to, some world where all my FFxi friends gather!

1- I may need a tan, I look too pale. My hair needs a touch-up, I look too old!
2- I'll be exploring 1st and foremost to get to know the aftermath of events!
3- Ignore all the jumpers(try not to jump myself unless I have to) have some 'class' people! :P
4- Nobody even thought to mention this but I hope I'm not the only one that feels this way: Find a party to grind high-level mobs and test out the limitbreaksystem.
5- Start leveling some of my mage classes with new players. (go 'anon' while on my high-jobs)

I would stay away from any newbie camp only because, I don't tease the weaker adventurers!

I am going to run out of the city to explore, inadvertently find the *new* placement of the level 90 mobs, and subsequently die in a horrible fashion.

But it'll be fun. :)
