no doubt its just a red tattoo with a color intensity slider.

Sweet!! But tatoos/body marks should be standard content in the character editor. I'd feel bad for new players not to be able to get some tatoos. Character customization is such a critical element in any RPG.

lol I spent a few mins trying to find the red smear... I was like.. AM I COLOR BLIND?? :O? Kept looking at the faded black/blue tattoo under his eye...

YES! That would be a really nice experience to see... I really hope that for the Legacy characters that they can get some kind of special CS that would be viewable by us to see of that special Tattoo getting engraved on my body...

No I am not a Tattoo person in RL but it being ingame as a very special token... I would love to see and accept.

I would really like our characters to do something as to look at the mark or something and be all surprised of it.... That's just my mind wondering off.

Yeah have the option to have tattoos on our bodies in the character creation....

But the the one tattoo we get from the Seventh Umbral Era will be special and that it will not be a optional tattoo for all new characters to have.

Why not make it the symbol of your Guardian? They could just add a /brand [toggle] command. Maybe give us a couple options for where it can go (back, shoulder, neck, arm, ect.). If it's set to display, have it appear whether armor is equipped or not. If you have it set on your bicep, for example, it could actually be displayed on the pauldron of whatever body piece you have on. Have them radiate the colour of their element (purple for thunder, green for wind, red for fire, you get the idea).

That kind of thing would be neat, I think, and it would sort of tie in to the story, having just visited every one of the Twelve's marks.

I really like this, and i do hope its like the tatoo from the people from the circle of knowing. But if it isnt, i just hope its a mark somewhere where you can see it without much worry of it being covered up by equip, head area would prob be the best for this.

It's a good idea to have ON/OFF display feature for this thing just in case someone did not like how it looks or where it was located on their body (or just did not want a mark on them altogether) :)

I want to say thanks for adding an on/off feature. To me a Tattoo is a scar, and I would have been pretty upset if you guys inflicted a permanent disfigurement on me as thanks for sticking it out during the remodel.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this. In FFXI there was mentor status, which you could get at lvl30. You could toggle it, and when turned on it would show up by your name like a linkshell. It was a bluish icon with a white M in it.
