We will probably remove the time attack type of system where you are fighting against a boss.
I wonder how it will work...I'm okay as long as the instances take time to do and its not rush rush rushQuote:
JPGames-Frederick: So it will possibly take a lot of time to clear those dungeons?
Yoshida: Yeah.
oh first show of ramuh :3
Also:
Yoshida said that marriage is planned.
I told him that we need Bikinis again next year, he said yes D:
Heres a bigger version of Ramuh, had a bad angle, if i got time to go there again tomorrow i'll take a pic from the center :)

Great news. There's no good reason to have a timer in dungeons.
Neorei, you should post it also in the Reiny thread i think ^^ Thanks anyway.
GameWatch is going mad with the Yoshi interviews lol.

lol So funny.Quote:
RPG Site: A lot of Japanese developers describe the Japanese development process as a lot less streamlined than the Western one. People sit in a room together and talk for seven hours about the eye color of the main character... [Everyone laughs] Things take a long time to get done. Was that a problem when you came into FF14, and did you streamline it?
Yoshida: [Laughs] When I took over the project it was December 2010. In about a month, I went over the game, figured out what needed to be done and made up a list. At the end of January, I submitted this long, long list to the team, saying this is what we need to do.
In the past 14 months, I've taken the game from what it was to what you've just seen on the screen. I think that's pretty streamlined.
I would like to say a great big thank you to everyone who came to the Square Enix booth and the FFXIV: A Realm Reborn stage at Gamescom 2012!
It was a great feeling to be able to meet so many fans of the FF series and the FFXIV players who cheered me on, took photos and came to the signing session.
And for the fans that brought me a present on the day, unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to thank you in person and would like to deeply apologise! Your gifts have really spurred me on ^^
Also, with regards to the couple that I had met at JapanExpo (I’ll keep your names anonymous), they told me at the signing session “We will be getting married soon!” and when I arrived back in Japan I received a letter with wedding photos of the lovely couple. I am really intrigued by the shining Cactuar cuffs on the sleeve of the tuxedo (lol)
I wish you both a life of happiness!
We are preparing a cathedral so that you can get married in Eorzea as well, so please look forward to actually having wedding content in the game :P
I hope that you continue your support for A Realm Reborn.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Producer & Director
Naoki Yoshida
very cool, and thanks for the info yoshi-p! looking forward for the future
i wish i could been there too :(
A great big thank you right back at ya Yoshi! Thanks for your hard work and dedication to turning this game around! I'm kind of glad I wasn't at gamescom though...I tend to get REALLY excited about things. And I'm getting excited enough as it is just reading the hype on the internet, so I think my brain would have exploded if I was there at gamescom lol.
Thank you, Yoshi-P for all the hard work and love for the series that you and your team have implanted in this project, without you, this franchise's name would have been tarnished forever. :)
I was recently watching ancient interview footage of Tanaka. I gotta say the difference is black and white. I'm so happy we have Yoshi-P. I respect Tanaka greatly, but I feel we were owed someone younger, hungrier, and more community oriented.
