Gameplay Video ( of the Presentation) is up!

that video got some of the best looking grass leaves I've seen.

Maybe tomorrow we will get HD version of the gameplay footage.

I think that last clip (the one with the Limit Break) is actually a promotional video that will be posted up on the site.

I think you are correct :p It was way to epic to NOT be.

I hope the animation fluidity is adjusted, but that's just a minimal issue to me, everything looked amazing from what I could see... and logging back to 1.0 makes me cry a little inside!

This is a kind of game I can finally say... I am ready for pvp in a final fantasy title.

In my attempt at a translation, this roughly translates to:

After watching that gameplay video, I don't anyone wants to login to 1.0 anymore.

It is confirmed, in Katakana i.e. Japanese words based of foriegn languages... it says Ishgard.

To EVERYONE complaining about graphical stuff in the screenshots/video : THE GAME DIDN'T EVEN REACH PRE-ALPHA!

It will most likely be made better later. A few yeaks ago, Yoshi P said that they were stilling optimizing the graphics.

Also, the current demo must have been completed/tested a few weeks ago too. It must not be yesterday's development version...

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that "Ishugarudo fortress was destroyed" probably means "the fortress of Ishgard was destroyed."

Plus Jennestia speaks Japanese. So there's that.

How many game do we see in production and look much better at release? Most of them. Wait till the finished product is released, then criticize it.

My guess it they will disable jumping with some rides. Could be the case with Magitek armors too

But I find it incredibly sad the first time we have to watch some ingame footage and its from some random guy whos uploaded a poor quality video to youtube with some guy speaking in german in the background because SE didnt want to release any offical ingame footage vid just yet. They will never learn, it was obvious it was going to be leaked before they had the chance to show us this on the new FF website.

I just dont understand there thinking and it pisses me off. On these forums we are the loyal customers who have stuck with this game for a long time and they cant show this vid to us first before showing it so some fracking random germans at Gamescon.

Even with the low-res video, Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 in *Pre-Alpha* state looks AMAZING! :D

Great job Yoshida-san & Team! Some thoughts:

• The Black Shround 2.0 - YES! Now *this* is what the Black Shroud should've looked like! I can't wait to visit it!

• The Drag 'n Drop UI / Menus are awesome. Very fluid and far more usable.

• The Town looked so much more inviting, unique, open and *fun* to be in (compared to Gridania current). ;)

• Chocobo Ranch!

• As Yoshida-san said, Final Fantasy VII-inspired LIMIT BREAKS! Woo hoo! :D :o :)
  
  Now THAT is what FF14 needs more of! Classic Square hallmarks (like Cloud's Omnislash, etc.). Having Limit Breaks / Overdrives / Over-the-top, "OMG! Did you just see that?!" moments will be fantastic for the game (and get new players excited). :)
  
  The Black Mage Limit Break looked very cool (Meteor?)! :) I can't wait to see every Job's Limit Break in HD glory.

• Imagine the possibilities if they make the next Upgrade to Relic Weapons gain their own (Bonus) Limit Break! :) Excitement!

• While I realize there are logistics and potential issues here and there with Live Streaming Press Conferences, Square's Marketing Team should have done *something* to post HD Versions of 2.0 Gameplay, or at the very least the LIMIT BREAK Video (self-contained) that Yoshida-san showed.
  
  There's no reason why we couldn't have that video on Lodestone.

Imagine the huge amount of Positive Press Square could be getting if they provided an HD Live Stream (or a later Video) of this 2.0 Gameplay in Action, and the Limit Break Video!

It just feels weird and odd that this fantastic presentation is only available at a Press Conference at Gamescom only.

That being said, it's a great video and I hope the rest of the world can see a better quality version and start building the snowball that turns into an Avalanche of Excitement for 2.0's Launch! :)

I can't wait for 2.0!

So, was it just my imagination, or did Yoshi say you have to buy FF7 PC to get into the 2.0 beta?

Yoshi-P looks happy and rested at the end of the video, tossing out shirts (meteor survivor shirt, can i have it?). The game is over the negativity hump and looking amazing, without sacrificing what we've all come to enjoy from 1.x (jobs, story, ability design) too much.

Excellent work! And yes, limit break meteor makes me wanna level blm now... >.>

I couldn't hear the video too well but I'm pretty sure he said the battle regimen system's reform was inspired heavily by FFVII's limit break system.

The guy said this is a early version of FFXIV 2.0 engine. Also the only interesting parts what he is babbling is that Alpha in Autumn and Beta in Winter.
