Like I said, I don't see what's so bad about them. This isn't my first time seeing this style of Yukata before so maybe I'm just used to it, but I like how it looks.

And really, while it may not apply to you that entire point about thighs is kind of irrelevant considering some of the other things people have been asking for lately.

(Not that it matters. They're usually only thinking about Miqo'te when they make those requests anyway.)

Im not upset about the yakutas specifically, i'm upset about this trend of clothes being designed for miqotes then refitted for men. The only masculine clothing in this game is garbage af and loldarklight.

Haha hahah I figured it out. The new emote is the dance from the Ffxi summer festival. The dance the tarus would do in windurst around the trees

I am excited to read that the skirmish is something we can just jump into. I was hoping for something like that. No waiting around for parties to get their shit together.

I don't think its up to SE. From what I understand, the Chinese only allow this sort of thing if its kept only amongst themselves. Willing to bet they have to make Chinese only servers for this, however I would love to be pleasantly suprised.

I don't think the new short yukata is particularly sexy. It is kinda nice. It would be better with more colorful and intricate designs. I would like to wear flowers in Girdania, interlocking zigzags in Ul'dah, and a sea garden in Limsa Lominsa. The plain design is just that plain. Maybe a little too ornate for men though. I am also disappointed that we have to wait a year to get bikinis. Bikinis are the only sexy thing in the game for females. Subligar's on both males and females is just embarassing. If you want near nude just wear cotton undies.... they don't look like anything but designs.

I think they look really hot on males, too! That lalafell in the grey one is... *swoon*

Long yukata are nice too, but short yukata are trendy and pretty popular right now!
The male ones remind me more of happi coats, so I don't mind! I really like those on guys anyways

Err..yeah Japanese males do wear Yukatas that short. There's a few style and the short one is very common to see just as long ones, however in popular media, especially broadcasted to the west, you'll generally see long ones.

Yeah, me too ; ; This is what I mean by SE saying one thing and always disappointment :/ The Yukata are cute/pretty but they are not sexy...at all lol. If I was trying to be sexy for someone I wouldn't go put on that Yukata...>.>

The bikinis however...are :) Those regular cotton undergarments are boring compared to the bikini...but maybe in 2.0 we will get some better crafted bikinis?

Oh man, how many western MMOs you played developed by and based in America?

Yet another piece of 'skimpy' event gear to throw in the back of my closet. I mean this as sincerely as possible - to the FFXIV team, please realise that not every piece of gear needs to be sexy, and if you are trying to do sexy, it doesn't mean just making something barely crotch length. I am hoping this progression gets knocked off in the re-boot and we can then see our characters in a variety of cute, classy and yes, the occasional (well done) sexy outfit.

Just a FYI to most people there is a massive chance that Chinese players will be relegated to their own server to avoid RMT issues.

It's a shame though as I know a good deal of Chinese players who don't like being treated like second class citizens because of this. It will be interested to see how SE handles China if they allow them onto the main server (Although I doubt it I think Chinese law mandates you can't have skeletons in the game or something) So they will probably end on a special server for that alone.

Don't like it don't get it. Kimonos and Yukata come in all sizes and styles, shorter is actually a common style while longer is more traditional.
