Anyone else from EU who has trouble too? I Dont get why SE claims its specifically NA
NA here, I'm also have card issues. My sub has been out for about a week. :<
I would of thought SE would be on top of this since they are losing money but clearly it doesn't matter to them.
France here, I'm just waiting to the supposed fix on Tuesday 7 may.
The majority of complaints have come from NA, thus SE has emphasized NA though they are likely aware that the issue is more widespread.
My sub will be refreshing at the end of the month thanks to the crysta currently in my account, but after that I'm SoL. My subscription will not be able to renew for Dawntrail if they don't figure out the problem and fix it.

What I did , when I had issues in the past with a card, I bought a little Crysta regularly when it got resolved . Now I always have 6
Months of sub time in crysta set aside to use if there’s another issue with my card or maybe a period of time when I can’t afford the sub because of a job loss etc. I’m still buying a little crysta and want to have a years worth of sub fees set aside. Set aside a little extra when you have it for the “ lean “ times
Maintenance over and card still doesn't work.... FFS Square-Enix, what are you doing.
At least, crysta works and after maintenance, they added crysta currency for optional retainer.
Still can not pay for things with my Visa Debt Card! When will this be fixed? I have 6 days left before automatic renewal of my sub.
I wanted to buy one additional retainer but SE won't accept my VISA credit card (I didn't have any issues when I resub at the 25th April 2024). Today, they add Crysta as a payment option for additional retainer which it was disabled before today maintenance.
I bought some Crysta with PayPal and worked fine.
I guess you can still buy Crysta for newew your sub.
Between this, the whole invalid address fiasco, and the 12 hour long ddos attack, its actually been despair.. I figured since the maintenance was game related that it wouldn't address anything but I was hopeful that it would be addressed.
Automatic renewal is supposed to work, the new system is only supposed to take place for new payment (bought something on mogstation, return after a break). There are confirmations that some people had their automatic renewal working while they could not buy things on the mogstations with the same card. It's weird. So wait and see.
Just had same issue. Changed banks 2 weeks ago, deleted my old card and tried to enter the new visa debit card, said it didn't exist. I called SQeenix support, was greeted by a CS guy that acted like he really could care less. He said they are having Visa issues, no time approx fix. I will be letting my game go if not fixed before end of May, It's too difficult to pay a company that doesn't seem to want the money.
At this point, I'm not sure they're really trying anything. People have been complaining since April 23rd. So far they've only acknowledged NA debit cards. My account appears to be locked since I can't use any type of payment: credit, debit, PayPal, Amazon pay they all return i2501 errors so I can't even buy Crysta to pay for anything. Opened a ticket, have already tried everything they suggested ie no VPN, no ad-blocker, no anything, all browsers, delete cookies/cache, difference devices etc but still nothing. I was able to make purchases before their payment update...
i auto resubscribe for my ff 14 account too . my reub was monday 6 of may. the payment wanted though. i use credit card (captial one) card. it the same card i use for my PS4 account too. so i got Pre-order expand on that card though Playstation store too.
so I'm thinking anyone using auto resubscribe will go though

Unfortunately, the issue you are describing is something we are not able to assist with in the Technical Support Forums. In order get the proper support, you will need to contact the appropriate SQUARE ENIX Support Center (North America/Europe or Japan) depending on the region of the account the issue is occurring on. However, based on the responses it would appear that you and your fellow adventurers have already been in contact with the appropriate support team and that some form of troubleshooting was already provided but the issue still persists. From the information we can gather, it does appear that this is being looked into and a recent lodestone post about a possibly related issue, the Visa Debit card issue was also made via the official lodestone and can be viewed here: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...2906d71c19064c
We suggest following up via the ticket submitted with the SQUARE ENIX Support Center in the event they may require more information regarding this issue to be looked into further. What we can also advise is to periodically check the lodestone for any updates regarding this and other possible related concerns.
