Tell that to the folks from my FC that had never touched a Savage raid in their lives before I helped them learn the Asphodelos fights, two hours a night, two nights a week. They're the ones who asked me to disable Echo, because they wanted to clear it legit. They all have their Phoinix mounts, now. You do not put edgy shark mounts behind Ocean Fishing, ever. Ocean Fishing is for fish beards who fish in this game 24/7. Give them a crappy cute Axolotl mount or something but edgy shark mounts do NOT belong to fishers. As someone who literally lives Poverty (Savage), it's refreshing to see someone mention this. It made me so mad that they mentioned they rather pay for a mount instead of getting it for... A couple hours of coordinated work.
FFXIV has a such a small "Pay for" content that is one of the reasons I stick around and do my do diligence to get stuff for FREE! It's FREE!! Like 2 hours once a week to try and get a cute mount is so much more enticing to me than seeing it posted on the Online Store for $18 (Or $30+ for account wide).
The axolotl has a lot of meaning in Elpis (that a lot of people missed apparently) that seeing it as a reward for Paendamonium has got me so excited to actually try and get it. I know one of my friends who is OBSESSED with axolotls is gonna be thrilled to do savage this time around.

I know its a bait but I know some ppl who are legit pissed bcz of the mount.
The amount of reward offer for clears on pf this tier gonna be insane.

I agree that i despise cutsy mounts and would like pandemonium mount or carbuncle from p5 instead. However there are a lot of people who like it, and if you really want to obtain Axolotl i have only one advice for you...

Finally a mount to be happy to ride around on when I beat the tier.

No seriously have this. Its a can of git gud. take before you raid it will help you get that mount. I don't raid, and while the mount is super cute, its a reward doing hard content and thats how it should be. I would suggest doing the raid to get it if it that is important because honestly im kind of tired people begging SE to sell stuff locked behind hard content because they simply don't want to do the content to get reward.

Weird, the last Census showed almost 35% of the active level 90 playerbase completed atleast 1 fight on savage difficulty.

to be fair, if you want to encourage sweaty neckbeards to do something, locking 2B leggings behind that something is the way to go.

I think it is quite a bit fair that it is barred behind that content, as of current each Savage Tier has had an end mount... and believe it or not some of them is just as cool the one mentioned, and many of them is well.. ok... I don't even want to use them but just have them to the collection.

As stupid as this issue is. We can all agree that the P12S mount should have been P10's Pandaemonium model, right?
Axolotl probably should have been 500 Gemstones from Elpis or something.

The axolotl mount should be island sanctuary or something else! Change the savage mount to something more suitable! Or give another way to get it!

I cannot emphasise this enough.

As a Savage raider, the mounts aren't worth trying to get on-content, especially as a pity system doesn't exist for them outside of the usual 'unregistrable' restriction.

Unless you have the drive and motivation to clear the Savage tier, and thus receive the mount as a side benefit of doing so, then I'd advise waiting it out. Even in 6.0-ish, Eden's Promise: Eternity was significantly easier with a full group, and many mechanics could be outright skipped.
