Spoilers ahead: Now that you’ve met (some) deities, are you happy with your choice?

I used to have Rhalgr because the description sounded badass. When I saw him, it was just another fancy old wizard.

I changed to Azeyma because of the fire theme. If Halone had fire instead of ice, I’d choose her instead.

I’m not so pleased. I picked Althyk, not sure what was the reason, he was ‘t even the month of my real life birth-date. Althyk just does not seem that strong. Maybe I’ll fantasia to Nophica.

Haven't seen my water lady yet. And I really really hope they stick with the naming pattern so I can have a raid with my name and featuring my goddess.

(For the unaware, Aglaia, Euphrosyne, and Thalia are the Three Graces in Greek Mythology. I've been excited at the names since the first one.)

I never was really comfortable picking a god, even if it's just make believe & not real cause it's a video game, so I just say my lala is a worshiper of Christ in game as well, even decorated my small house in ul'dah to look like a fantasy style Church, got me a Samurai Congregation, a Roegadyn Pastor & a Banquet Table with corn, bread,meat and slushies.

But back in ARR when it made u pick your diety on the create a character screen I picked rhalger cause the destroyer thing sounded cool to me.

my keeper of the moon dnc choice is menphina
and few alts i have on zodiark stay with halone
so yes i am very happy with this choice

I was bored so here's my honest take of each god so far, judging by aesthetics:

Byregot: simplistic design but straight to the point, and rather unique. I honestly don't like how low texture and "Play-doh" his skin looks, but love how he has nails forming a halo, and a giant hammer. Also bara daddy, also also give us more skimpy male outfits please and thank you 9.5/10

Rhalgr: another straight to the point design but still rather unique, I like the combo of staff + his floating ring thingies and that despite being a mage, he looks....less scholarly, for lack of a better word, and more like a monk or a battle mage - he is The Destroyer afterall. 8/10

Azeyma: first hot take. She's beautiful and I love her hair and that she has fans as her weapon of choice, but somehow just feels like Suzaku 2.0. 6.5/10

Nald'Thal: very creative and unique silhouette. While all the other gods are "humans", Nald'thal clearly isn't, and I like how they 'rotate' their torso whens shifting from one to the other. Also bonus points for their theme song. 10/10

Nophica: I expected them to be bigger because of all the memes lol. Jokes aside, she's gorgeous, and I have a weakness for orange/red hair and nature themes. 8.5/10

Althyk: he's not bad but can't really think of anything that stands out about him tbh, let alone his theme as the god of time. He could be some low level FATE boss and I wouldn't notice. Sorry but 5/10

Nymeia: also not bad per se, but while Althyk had no relation to time in his design, they did the opposite for Nymeia - "how do we show off that she's a weaver? why, just have an actual spinning wheel float above her!". Considering she's indirectly the goddess of fashion, such a bland design is a crime against her own domain. 4/10

Halone: beautiful, gorgeous, majestic, badass queen. Armored woman? check. Wearing a dress despite said armor? double check! Sword and Shield? check. Super long hair? check!. Last and most importantly...Valkyrie/Angewomon type helm that covers the eyes? check, check, check! 100/10

Menphina: she's a curious one. I don't know why, but imo her design looks much better suited for an actual child (or a teen, at most), but obviously there's no way we would've been allowed to beat up a little girl lol. Also bonus points for her early 90's shoujo theme song. 9.5/10

My money's that the opo opo is Oschon and Deryk the unnamed god

I chose Menphina,the Lover.
Due to the Icon and the short description.
I was surprised to see ..that she has a wolf,
( Note: wolves are my favorite animal).

I picked Oschon, because that diety sounded like something that resonated with me.
Seeing them in game so far, not sure how to feel, but clue point to him possibly being the final boss, and that has me excited.

Ill admit, after the Valkyrie Fight..I ALMOST wanted to switch over to Halone

Halone is my character's patron goddess, and I think I chose well. They don't call her "The Fury" for nothing.

Oschon will obviously be the coolest one, so yes.

Originally, I would change between Oschon and Menphina after I fantasiaed my character, depending on what look I was going for but after the first tier, I changed to Azeyma because I'm a DNC main and lover her look, battle style, and battle banter.

I went full cookie-cutter with my seeker and chose Azeyma. And she couldn't possibly be less disappointing. Especially since I main dnc too, it was cool to see her use a similar feather fan motif. My Queen~

The more I think about it, the more annoyed I do get at Menphina... Because you have the Keepers of the Moon who according to the lore mostly worship her, and also the Xaela who worship the moon (as Nhaama, the Dusk Mother)... But neither seems to have any representation on her.

Been praying for riches and life from Nald'thal since 1.0 and seeing them ingame only made me like 'em that much better. But being and final boss with banger music probably helped.

Dunno yet. We've yet to meet Oschon. The temptation to switch to Nophica or Menphina is pretty strong though...

I had Menphina cause of the Moon stuff, but im debating switching after seeing how she look ingame, the only redeeming factor now is the doggo

I constantly hop between Rhalgr and Azeyma whenever I fantasia, and I was pretty happy with both. Though if there's a character I got incredibly bored by, it was Nymeia. She's a really interesting goddess... and all she does is the world's most obvious version of the Simon Says attack.

I chose Halone at character creation as I originally played WAR and thought "The Fury" was a good god for axe-smashing antics. She was awesome in the raid!

My highlander is happy with having Rhalgr and my roe has yet to meet Lymlaen. My other roe caters to Halone and I really love how her design is just Lenneth Valkyrie from Valkyrie Profile.

Menphina's design left me a little cold.
Haha, get it? Because she has ice stuff. But also because I didn't like it.

Mine used to be Althyk and I actually switched. Despite being the god of SPACE and TIME, the first, and eldest which makes him presumably the head of the pantheon and one of the favored deities of Louisoix he was incredibly underwhelming and got stuck sharing a fight with Nymeia. Super disappointing. Also he looked stupid.
