I don't need more alts on Crystal and permanently moving my combat main is out of the question. If I was that desperate to play with the Aether folks I would have finished leveling one of the alts there. And who knows what will happen when the new US DC opens? They've been using terms like "redistribute" so there's a chance one or more the worlds I'm on will get moved and we'll need to make a decision to roll with it or transfer back to Crystal or Aether.

If you have insurance that covers it, get the extended release version. Way easier than stopping evey few minutes to refill your inhaler.

While there are probably some bots in there, I wouldn't disbelieve the 15k thing. With the actual gaming population in the hundreds of thousands, this is a small enough part that I could reasonably see that # of people wanting to use it the instant it's available, because that's just how some people are.

Seems like a different scenario from a practical standpoint. The DC transfers are something expected to spike at the start, then die down rather quickly and stay at a comparable lower level in the long run, so it's just not cost-reasonable to buy enough server tech just to handle a brief spike and then it becomes wasted money the rest of the time. Island Sanctuaries are expected to be long-term popular things, so investing in more server tech for them becomes cost-effective.

Seems to be working in the EU just did a transfer to Light and back to Chaos. Was pretty smooth and took about 30 seconds for the transfer to complete even though I was wondering if I did the right thing to try it.

It works on Light. I have tried the transfer between Omega and Shiva and it worked flawlessly. Maybe it is broken on NA servers.

Worked for me in the Eu too. I might head over to Japan to see if it is there as well. The update seems to say they'll be bringing it back slowly and not all at once. Gradually open it is what they're saying.

This is why i dont dc travel on the first day and get my character stuck xD

I used the DC travel from Primal to Aether just now, and it appears to be working again. It still might be a bit slow for the time being though.

I was able to go to Aether since I wasn't able to when patch was out but now I can't go back to Primal.

They've turned in back on for NA. I wanna Crystal to Aether/Siren but only Cactuar and Sarg are available. I haven't tried it but I don't think you can World Transfer when on a DC although I could be wrong. I know you have to return to your home DC and server before you can transfer to another DC.

Yeah, DC visit is back on but can't go home. I'm mostly like this in Aether duties

I wouldn't mind getting stuck on the Data Center I want to visit. Keep hoping it'll pop-up as available for travel.

Balmung too hot for people to ignore.

I did give a visit to Tonberry and had a good time there, took 5 mins to arrive, and another 5 mins to go back to my server. :)

Makes no sense how ppl were able to go to primal and back to Balmung, but apparently Mateus is too congested? There was like 20 people in the queue before I DC transferred to Excalibur, been stuck on primal now for about an hour. Lot of nice people here though so it's all good! Kind of wish they'd just place your character on the least congested world when it's time to go home, rather than your home world directly.

Community solution to a short term server congestion..THROW MORE HARDWARE AT IT!!! Lol

Can't wait for this to get solved so I can finally transfer and start setting up new FC with my friends.

Took me a while, but I was eventually able to come back home to Gilgamesh on Aether from Crystal. :)

You can, went from Siren to Gilgamesh without issues on my forced extended stay on Aether

I did try it later in the evening with a gilga character going to Balmung where i have a FC. Was a bit nervous given the transfer took about 10 minutes and was about a minute in Japan and the EU. I'll try returning her to Aether later this morning been doing some Hildi and just ran Dun in Japan. Want relic to be an option and need the raids for Taratu.
