Literally who are you? Do you know what GamerEscape is? No? Then don't engage with me. I at least bothered to learn what other resources the game has and won't bother with people who want all the work done for them like you.

Correct me if i’m wrong but isn’t the author of GamerEscape Anonymoose? Aka one of the guys who literally helped write one of the lore books for the game? Also i have to say i love how i give proof after being asked to show it and it’s “omg not that!”
Finally someone coherent to talk to.
Yes, I intentionally asked several questions, some even memes, to see how far the "it's bad for you because you didn't read the story" argument would go. My point was to prove that most people cannot talk with facts.
Yes, it's true that there would be no proof, but to say that she wouldn't get at least a few followers is also to deny that nowadays there are people who believe everything they read on the internet.
She had a tracker in Meteion, so I believe in the power of the ancestors to see an iota of sense in what she was saying. If not most, some.
The problem here is that Hermes had already been defeated in combat by us, he was at a disadvantage, and Venat could have called in more dogs and gotten everyone out of there before the wipe. Hyth had a bow, but preferred to wait for Hermes to configure the memory shift system. This story could have ended in Elpis.
It makes sense about what you said about Meteion. Really if she destroyed that one, the others would be left. As for Zoldiark, I really wish they had given more time to this character itself. In the end, we don't even see him in action, it's like he's a shell.
However, it's still weird to say that Hydaelin's plan, if all goes wrong, would be to take us to the moon. Meteion could easily destroy the moon. If not by Dynamis, by brute force. The place was not prepared to receive people, I doubt it would have prepared for an attack of that origin.
What I mean here is that they got the timing wrong. Drama stories, funny points, cute points... this could have been addressed at the beginning of the expansion, and after that, make us pay attention to the catastrophe. There could be "breath" points in urgency (one joke here, one cuteness there), but not too long, as they were made. History has become a nest of ideas, where we start from the point that the world is ending, but eating carrots with rabbits is more important.
You could skip the entire expansion if you wanted, but the only quest that was unmissable was the tataru shop. I know I laughed when endgamers said that not being able to skip this quest was getting in the way of world first, but why was this quest so important for that to happen?
The point here, in a nutshell, is that they didn't know how to dose things. Erase the whole story, and just put the timeline of events, that's what I'm talking about.
Edit: about loose ends, I partially agree. Something punctual and intriguing, it can even be left as a basis for theories, but depending on how it's done, it sounds like not even the writer knew what he was doing.
Fat shaming? When? Where?
"Go play Ultimate" was to those complaining constantly about a lack of challenge while at the same time never doing anything harder than EX. Which honestly? Valid criticism.
Laughing at Hroth? When? Where?
I'd like sources to these two accusations because I can't seen to recall nor find them.
If it's Source: Trust me bro
Then that's not a source at all.
P.S I also main healer, yes I'd like more to do in terms of damage but I wouldn't expect much more than a 1-2-3 combo due to our role being expected to have more situational awareness than most.
As for Kaiten. Yes it was bad call, there's still a chance the change gets reverted, we shall have to wait and see.
Except it wouldn’t. The person i posted is an established coordinator that has been on that site for years. You on the other hand have nothing in comparison. Either way, my point still stands. I raised other points as well that you tried to refute and failed. And you did just as i predicted, even with clear cut proof, you continue to try and argue against it. You’re one of the prime examples of people gatekeeping criticism even when it’s been factually proven time and time again. If you want a video just look up the 2014 cosplay event. I’m not going to go through more work for you only for you to blindly refute it as evidence.
A wild Ninja Appears!
[Yoshi P said in order to be a real ninja, maybe you should work out a bit more]
That's your fat shaming source?
That's it? A translation by a third party site that is known to mistranslate and fuels hit pieces for click bait?
Show me an official translation of it and I'll believe it, not a well known click bait gutter Journalist site.
Huh? How so?
It's a site used frequently for sourcing information about the game given that he serves as an easily accessible database for quest dialogue and item descriptions...
It was reputable enough for a frequent contributor there - Anonymoose - to be brought on board to help keep the lore book consistent.
Crazy how everything he says always means whatever you want it to. It was in direct response to a healer saying the gameplay isn’t challenging, nothing more nothing less. Don’t invent fake context to try to make it an epic yassqueen drag.
Foxclon was having a right giggle when they revealed those hroth hairs!Quote:
Laughing at Hroth? When? Where?
I checked, it sources only articles they wrote for the site, which are copy pasted from official news or translated using Google Translator.
Want to know how I know the comment has been either taken out of context or mistranslated?
Japan is the home of Sumo Wrestlers, being large carriaged in Japan is actually socially acceptable in their culture and has been for centuries.
Nice try though, but you can't apply American standards to Japanese culture and societal beliefs. That's called being ignorant.
No...not true. You don't need proof when the Echo exists, everyone there has the ability to utilize it and this scene happens very shortly before we enter Ktsis Hyperboreia.

Using "well no one would believe her!" as an excuse doesn't hold up. Especially when the writers themselves show us how easy it is for them to see the truth for themselves.
Literally have Sumo as a huge part of their culture, people that are celebrated as major celebrities and heroes.
Has been cases where a Yokozuna had to stand down for bringing great shame to the Sumo.
"But they hate fate people", sure. Let's go with the Americans take on what is clear as daylight for anyone that has spent more than a flight of fancy in Japanese historical culture.
If you're referring to the way China treats overweight people, which is very poorly, a country known for the barbaric act of foot binding
We have a word for that
It starts with R and ends in T.
I just have no words. You're pretending to be an expert on a country based on something actually niche in that country. Sumo's are not that big a thing, simply something that was exported at the earliest to the rest of the world. By your logic, everyone would be in the right to think America is still wahoo cowboys herding sheep and shooting natives in 2022. You're an actual lunatic and dangerously close to that thing that you're accusing me of.
In fact, I'll say it: You're pretty dangerously racist assuming an entire people's outlook on something based on their niche media. That is IMMENSELY messed up and I would hope you did the last October event because that clown makeup would suit you great right about now.
Hit piece site that uses Google translate with writers that do not have an "about me" is not credible.
It's as Credible as Ms Heards "evidence" and the Sumo thing is because Japanese culture raises large framed modern Samurai to celebrity status which contradicts the claim they "hate fat people"
So sorry, I want credible sources, not copy paste Google translate. That's why I brought up Amber Heard because that's the kind of stuff that's being pulled.
A paper thin poorly translated and weakly sourced line versus an entire historical culture that argues opposite.
Surely this guy is a troll, there's no way
You are always arguing from both a meta perspective and an in-lore perspective. Choose one.
Creation magic, hydaelyn was very specifically created to subdue. Zodiark was never intended to fight. Hydaelyn never had to keep the aether shroud active, that's a lot less power needed.Quote:
Yeah, that everyone know. But the real question here is "How"? If she had the power to subdue a god, why didn't she do something to defend her people?
Meteion doesnt function as a single mind, there is a shared consciousness she can connect to.Quote:
If Meteion functions as a "single mind", having one off the grid is a plot hole.
Because main story and side story happen in the same universe? What kind of dumb question is that, why wouldnt it be. Do you have the same grievance with the end of MSQ cutscenes in each expansion referencing the raid quest series?Quote:
So why it's in the main quest?
But then you ask me about my interpretation anyway, so idk about that one chief, usually not everyone needs every thought spoonfed to them.Quote:
It's the end of a story. It cannot have "I think" "my interpretation". It's over, we were supposed to be sure
But it's a very uplifting point in the story, giving your group the strength to weather to coming storm. It absolutely fits as encouraging send off to save the world. Urianger wasnt ready for it yet and Moenbryda's parents were also occupied. Again something you'd know if you had paid attention.Quote:
I don't care about bad stories. If they wanted to make a drama, do it the first time we arrived in Sharlayan, not after we were in a hurry to save the world.
Well you can see they terraformed the moon so you dont have to just take their word for it.Quote:
For real? I don't trust a bunch of teddy bears that say they terraformed the moon. Put someone charismatic but less silly and I'll take it seriously.
Me answering your questions can only speak about how much attention you have cared to pay to the story, it cannot speak to how good or bad the story is. There are only tons of doubts if you dont care about the story and therefore dont pay attention. Something you seem rather open about, atleast you're honest about that.
Guy?
See, right there, that's the issue.
Pre formed bias based on your own personal experiences.
"Everyone on the internet must be a guy"
"Fat shaming is a constant issue in America so it must be a thing in the rest of the world"
Ignorance and preconceived biases impressioned onto other people, other cultures, other ways of life.
Taking any tiny shred of anything, no matter how shady the source and believing it.
Remember, the rest of the world doesn't have nutty cults like QAnon and we certainly don't watch things like Infowars and believe everything printed in the New York post.
Edit: Heck doesn't your country have this whole thing where some of the country don't believe that Stalin was a Genocidal maniac? While you also have Neo Nazis walking around in broad daylight?
Practice what you preach first otherwise you're just throwing stones in the biggest glass house on planet Earth.
This guy sure seems reasonable and well adjusted.
Except he has his gut reaction and then comes back a little while later saying that even if he doesn't believe us, the investigation is worth doing for the sake of their star. There is no logical reason to believe that the rest of the Convocation, even if skeptical at first as they most likely would be, would be opposed to looking into it more deeply just to be absolutely sure they weren't putting their world at risk by being stubborn. And there would have been plenty of information for them to review in Elpis, including witnessing Hermes' breakdown.
What makes you think I'm going to spare that sort of respect to a troll?
I never came here to discuss history. My first point here was about how forced things were. In addition to commenting on two characters that were not well finished.
Funny you guys talked so much about Urianger, I didn't mention him and you all soon assumed I was just talking about him. Perhaps because it was too much even for you? Sorry if I was more interested in going after the end of the world rather than following the drama of a character who died in ARR. They should have done this at the beginning of the expansion
I started to argue about lore after a dude coming up with this kind of argument. And then I thought it was funny to press one against the wall to see how far he could answer me. In the end, I ended up with no answers.
But finally someone coherent arrived to which I responded.
The current issues with the dev team (IMHO) are basically a result of "Suffering from Success"
A Realm Reborn (2.0) happened because 1.0 was such an utter failure. They had to dig deep and figure out how to fix things.
Now, with all the success they have had, it has went to their heads and they've developed an Ego. They feel they can do no wrong, WE as the consumer base, are the ones who are wrong.
The game is in Cruise Control now because it's Square Enix's cash cow. Nothing really innovative. When they have tried, it's been mostly a disaster (the 4 attempts at Diadem Content, Eureka a disaster on launch). Job design is all over the place.
