Yeah from a player perspective every quest/roulette gil reward or item drops sold to an NPC, gil reward from a treasure box, etc just creates gil from nothing while things like teleport fees, market board tax when you sell things on the MB, services or items bought directly from an NPC deletes it from the game. We have a huge amount of the former and very little of the latter thus inflation has just kept growing over the years.
Imagine if we just had enough houses for everyone who wanted one.
Alternatively, let's not
They paid for a house. They should own the home. That's the end of the discussion. Therefore, your logic is that I deserve your property because I make more. If someone wants to funnel their money into a property, they have every right to do so without your envy seeping through the walls.
They don't have to pay tax because it's a video game, the streets don't need to be cleaned, and there is no welfare state to pay for health care or anything. So, no, you cannot make one in-game to justify making a system worse than it is.
It's a virtual world, not the real one; therefore, the fact that we have a housing issue on a game this size making this much money is a ludicrous concept, to begin with.
