Yeah that's ridiculous...theyre charging him for something that doesn't even work....
Yeah.... That's also irritating. What pissed me off was the moderator that made a fuss about me having my friend in Canada trying to log me in. I called tech support and demanded to speak to a super visor over that (I found it rude quite frankly.)
I need to get back into calling them frequently until the problem is solved. Next week I'm going to call and ask to speak to a super visor again.

I'm in this situation at this moment, but it seems I'm not the only one. I'm being told my people that are in the game right now the inn and wards have crashed in Ul'dah, and since I logged off in the inn, it may be the reason why I can't get into the game.
This is happening in Excalibur. Please help!

The error 30002 is slightly ambiguous. This particular thread is about the complete inability to login at all, not disconnections. Those of you experiencing might benefit more from bumping a different thread.
But then again, who doesn't benefit from a thread dedicated to getting action out of a company for the principle of the matter?
Indeed this thread is mainly for Lusavari and his one toon that he can not log in his char now for few months casue something on SE end :o
I had exactly the same problem like Lusavari with a slightly different Error code:
(30002)1342162975,0,5
After being away from FFXIV for about a month I reactivated my character last week but when I tried to log in I got a message saying something about being unable to connect to the game and the error code above.
I tried the usual stuff, restarting router, etc. but nothing changed, I tried to log in at a friend's and my parents' house to see if it got anything to do with my internet connection but it didn't work there either.
After searching the forums I deleted the UI settings and stuff in my characters folder like suggested by some people, but I STILL got the same message and the same error code.
I'm not so rich to be able to pay for more than one character per month so I didn't try if I could log into my other characters, but my main character suffered from the problem described in this thread, I think.
Since I haven't been logged on for more than 30 days I couldn't even post in the forums so I just checked this thread a few times a day hoping for a solution^^°
It's been about a week now and without me doing anything special it suddenly started working today.
Sadly I have no idea what the reason is (like maybe SE did something?) but I'm really happy to be able to play again and I wish you the best that soon your character will be able to connect to the game again, too! :o
I think the problem is related to characters being reactivated, since both Lusavari's and my character were reactivated right before the problem appeared..:confused:
Casue this is the wrong thread to state you issues. If you have something constructiveto say about this thread you can voice it but you shoudl start a new thread for D/Cing in leves
As for OP and Atoli happy to see your issues worked out and OP hopefully gettign it fixed via server reset mod talked about.
Sadly, my character still won't log in, but you have my sympathies that this happened to you too, but I'm glad you're able to log in now at least.
But I do agree with your hypothesis as to what the issue might be... It's got to either be a server merge problem that was only discovered when I came back, or a problem with reactivation. But my other characters worked fine during the Welcome Back campaign, and my character Kyrisha Amberdale works fine now. Just my main character. So I kind of lean toward your idea that it's reactivation related.
Right now all I can do is wait for the account to expire and reactivate again, and then wait on the server reset. I'm hoping one of those fixes it. I'm just glad happy to see the team is taking steps to try and solve something other than tell me it's my problem.
One of the biggest problems I see in SE (and I'm a communication scholar, and I've done analysis on organizations and problems within them) on their MMO section of the company is the general powerlessness of the customer service. There are some sincere people working for them, which is good. The problem is Tech Support isn't allowed or capable of touching characters. So it causes issues like this, which if it wasn't for my "For the Principal of the Matter" attitude, anyone else would have given up, resulting in lost revenue for SE. You can't run a company that way. This isn't a criticism of the employees, but a major criticism of SE policy that needs to be changed. I understand the fact there's an off chance a tech support employee could start stealing or selling accounts, but that's not a good excuse to neuter them to the point where their ability to even try to help someone is laughable or taking this long.

Also, we're not saying you can't post in the thread, don't take it as us being rude. We're just saying you're not going to get the results you want out of this thread. We're trying to help you by directing you to a more effective thread for your topic to keep bumping. I WISH I could be afforded the luxury of failing leves due to DC. But I can't log in on my main character period. The End. So it would benefit you more to voice an issue about server stability than my inability to log in at all 90 days after reactivating my account.
its not just during leves.i get disconnected all over the map doing all sorts of stuff all with the same error so how is it not related
Lusavari's issue is he can't even log in too DC. Yes the error number prob is the same as his, but SE prob error codes messed up as well.
I wouldn't worry about it Doom. She's welcome to post. I just feel her message won't get the attention it deserves in this thread.
I know any imput about bugs is good. Lettign them understand that while DCing in game could use soem work on SE end, this thread mainly casu eyou cant even log in. but hopefully it will be fixed soon! maybe next patch they will do a sever reset :o

Well. In about 3 days I'll be able to try reactivation from complete deactivation. If that doesn't work, it's server restart.

Deactivation and reactivation has completely failed. It's up to the server reset. :(
