Hey is there anyway you could share what you're doing to get those vibrant colors somewhere privately? I really dig how your game looks.

I use Nvidia Game filter for a more subtle colour and lightning tweak and yes i agree a little tweaks can make the game look amazing
for example:

These might look better for you, but I honestly prefer the ones they showed us. Compared to the current game they look better but still keep the same feel. The ones you showed for example are too „colorful“ for my taste. That was actually a subject they touched on the LL, they don‘t want to change the general atmosphere too much.
You also gotta keep in mind the ones they showed are just a month into testing. There will be more upgrades to gear etc.
Some memes due the graphical update:

My favorite is Thancred
This game can run on a straight up potato, it's optimized pretty well IMO. I have a 1080 ti until I get a 3080 ti or better but the market is currently in shambles so I'll be waiting for awhile.
But to mirror what someone else said, 1080ti still has a couple more years in it considering its about the strength of current gen consoles (PS5) so that makes that for FFXIV, it'll be supported for the long run.
Can we just appreciate what a master troll YoshiP is?

"You're not getting this"
Would there be any chance of a simple implementation of RTX/Raytracing support? More specifically, the DLSS part of it so that its not as taxing to run at 4k or 8k. I'd rather see what they've got in stock for us when this update happens, but it can't hurt to ask to make use of the RTX cores in my GPU for running the game at higher resolutions as 4k is standard and 8k is slowly gaining some attraction from high end enthusiasts. I am aware FFXV had some RTX implementation with DLSS.
I use it as well and it's extremely simple, once it's enabled all you have to do is press Alt+F3 when the game has launched to bring up the menu and choose whatever options you want and play with the sliders to make it as subtle or pronounced as you like.
Only issue I have sometimes is my preset disappears after updates, but I only use 2 filters to alter the colours and sharpness slightly so it's not too bad to re-do.
It's called Nvidia Freestyle if you want to look into it more.
I can't wait to see the Femroes.
My dear, you always look fine!
Please keep in mind that they specifically mentioned these changes are after a single month of testing. They were very clear that they'll continue to work on both upgrading options and optimizing things. Single screen shots of a few faces still shows significant improvement, with more updates to come as we get closer to 7.0.
Is this something native to Nvidia cards and not a traditional 3rd party mod? I haven't messed with the settings on my Nvidia card yet.
Yes exactly, it's not nearly as extensive as something like Gshade but if you generally like how the game looks but want smaller tweaks then Freestyle (and I'm sure there's an AMD equivalent too) is the way to go, significantly more lightweight too if performance is an issue.
I just wanna see hi-res Fem'ra face and have a booty that isn't flatter than a pancake in a sandwhich press
Unfortunately You have to redo the settings after every update. It dumps the save file for it every update. Mines a little more involved as I have 4 filters going. I found a YouTube video about Gshade Vs. Nvidia Freestyle and they guy went through his settings in Freestyle that gave him a suitable substitute to the really nice looking Gshade mod. I mirrored his settings and I think it looks great. Nice and vibrant with no where near as close to the performance hit Gshade can sometimes do. These are my settings if you want to give it a try:
He said the order of the categories matters too (kind of like mod loading order)
