Lol. Most of the dudes look goofy enough as it is. They ought to just stop making stuff for dudes entirely.
They already barely do tbh. A lot of glams nowadays are just suited for female charcaters and hardly altered for males. This i sjust another example of male characters getting the short end of the stick.Doesnt help the lead dev only seems to play female characters lol.
dudes looking like:

To be fair, Male Omega's neck appeared to be long to begin with. And given that it seems for full outfits they just place the character head on the body, which is adjusted according to the existing "parameters." I might buy the female Omega one for a character if there's a sale that makes it at least half the price (And even then I would still have to ask myself if I really want it that much). Minfilia's outfit is more than enough for me to fit the 1 single undyeable outfit, and it's much cheaper IIRC.
Ugh... My ignorance shows. The fact that it comes with the hair still makes it more worthwhile than the Omega outfits. Saying that the outfits should be dyeable just for the price alone is just preaching to the choir, but it's been nearly a decade and I doubt they'll change their stance now.
A discussion at SE: "Hmm, a lot more people play female characters, but we should still try to sell something for people who play male characters. Oh, it seems nobody wants to buy this (half-assed) piece (of crap), so OBVIOUSLY there's no need to try and make them more appealing in some way in an attempt to increase sales." "but we could tr-" "That's okay. The players playing female characters are more than enough." "Bu-" "Shut up and design more holes in armors to expose silky female skin!" "Gladly! I just get paid extra to get on your nerves."
I'm only surprised games still have male characters available as a choice.
And i get told im reaching and making things up when i say males are constantly shafted glam wise lol. Honestly this just makes me laugh because its like they didnt even proofread their items, which you think they would considering this costs actual money.
love the outfit, personally i've wanted it ever since fighting the boss years ago. I hope they consider doing some other boss outfits in the future
Bought the outfit, looks pretty decent.
Texture wise, female version is definitely one piece, the only part can be separate is the glove but I don't see the purpose of that singe glove is pretty blend.
AFAIK, even the one glove that looks like it breaks the rule ends up following it.
I can't remember the name of it, bit I use it on my BLM and Reaper.
It's from Heavansward IIRC, it has one armored sleeve with the other arm completely bare... except for one small band at the top, In the exact same place the band from the Ravel and Caster PvP gloves have it.
Which basically just confirms your theory on how it works lol
I like how the Omega M glam piece is like a Reverse Uno Card. It actually looks really good on Roes! And the other races get to experience what Roes have to go through with losing body mass on a per glam piece basis. Though its usually the legs where that tends to occur for Roes and not the whole ass body like I'm seeing in some of those non Roe shots. i'm definitely enjoying my omega M suit, which means SE will cave and adjust it and as a Roe I'll be stuck out in the cold, looking for something that's decently shapely XD
Outfit (F) is nice, hair would have been nicer. Still bought it. Additional pieces using gunmetal black dye match well. Heels are nice, but like the 2b heels - feet are too big.

My sides are on FIRE from the friggin' Elezen man. xD!
Oh God. *Wipes tears* Crap has me dying at 2am. Good times.
To be honest not even Omega F look good, boots are out of proportion.

The feet were clearly designed for characters that float instead of walking. Take off the heels and point the foot and it doesn't stand out. They just picked a weird point to place the heel.
id be a little happier if you could dye them
Does anyone have suggestions for weapons that would match well with this set? I'm having a tough time finding something I like.
Omega weapons are the obvious first thing to check, but also the Ktiseos weapons from the level 87 dungeon and Monstrorum from 81, and possibly some of the Fae weapons (73) dyed dark colours.
Also Edenmorn if you're up for that.
You can also browse the glamours people are making with the body piece to get some ideas:
F: https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/glamours/body/19604
M: https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/glamours/body/19603
(One lonely M glamour at the time of posting, while F is onto a second page already... who could have guessed?)
I appreciate the responses. Problem with the Omega weapons is I've never done that Savage fight plus it would still be missing weapons for the new jobs. But maybe a few people in my FC could help me with it.
Even though they have a bit of bronze to them (and the costume doesn't) I think the Shinryu weapons actually look quite good. They have that same jagged, raw look that the suit has.
Just been wondering why the bow is a no-no for a lot of people. I don't get it.
Looking like a spaghetti seems to be a theme in this expansion...

Please understand and look forward to it that the limitations of ps5 doesn't allow our devs to create a functional gear even when you already pay 15 usd monthly + omega outfit.
Indie company working hard for you.
