The absolute salt and I agree. I am fine with having limitations but....why do they keep releasing items that are unwearable for two races in each event? They couldve just made the nose this time but no....since it is attached to a hat....we cant wear it. I do the events anyway because I am a collector, but damn doing the heavensturn yesterday was like..very very pointless.

So we have multi colored balloon furnishings and now we have clowns we have elephants as mounts. Sounds like the Circus is coming.

Yeah them making another invisible hat for an event isn't a shocker anymore, but it's a real missed opportunity to not do both the nose+hat-combo and just a nose separately.

Keeps the original set design intact while still including Hrothgar and Viera, and giving another option for everyone.

I love the rewards, can't wait to get my hands on the top glamour piece ( * - * )!!

Great. A clown suit, and a bunch of housing items for the house I don't have.

The boots might be useful, if I get clever with a glam.

The clown outfit is optional and effects almost nothing. The sage symbol is not optional if you want to play a sage or if your run roulettes and have to see someone's symbol when they play sage.

I think the problem is that you are going to see other players wearing it.

Personally, I don't see an issue but then again i'm not afraid of clowns.

Now if the event was giving out Cockroach costumes then I would have a problem.

I am very often in a party as a LTW while I make things for people, it's far easier to chat to them in Party mode. I am sure I am not the only one who does this.

It also doesn't have to be in a party to be a trigger. Every time you press C and look at your craftsmanship or control you are going to see it. Everytime you look at your DOL/DOH levels. Every time you run past the guild in Old Gridania. Every time you open your recipes to craft.

So, I think my question still stands. Why was the SGE icon a trigger, but the LTW icon is not?

My guess is because the icon was made before social media enlightened the masses about trypophobia. Now it's the cool thing to be triggered by holes. Much like how people will flippantly claim "OMG I'm so OCD!" all because they have some tiny quirk.

What's really ludicrous is trypophobia isn't even an actual phobia. It was coined by a rando on a forum years ago and apparently that is enough for some. A great many people out there seem to conflate disliking/thinking something is "creepy" with a phobia... It's obnoxious.

I sincerely hope this signals the return of full glam sets for seasonal events. We've gone so long with events offering only mounts or minions, missing out on all the enjoyment we'd get from a cool new fit from an event. And I'm not talking about the 2 item chicken outfit, I mean stuff that comes with workable pieces for glams. Fingers crossed for some cute new Valentione and Moonfire glams this year!
