I have cancelled my subscription. I'm not paying for a game I can't play. See you all when this shit is fixed, I'm absolutely pissed right now...
Same trouble and none of fixes helped.
ive literally had to mute the game to raid. shame i cant hear the new music ingame.
I've turned off BGM and have most of my other sounds very low- practically off at this point. It has definitely impacted my enjoyment of this game. Running dungeons, raids, etc without any music or sound really makes it difficult for me to enjoy playing at this point, which is a shame.
Around half of MSQ was ruined because of this sound issue.
Stuttering, lagging, crackling... cutscenes with voice acting cut off before they finish,
All battles with music, All scenes that include it as part of the experience, Any & all sounds
All while lagging, stuttering, crackling, etc.
It is AWFUL
Please fix this!! :(
I haven't played the game since the Pre-release due to the audio stuttering, and my 2 weeks free is up in 6 days..I wonder how much more time we are going to get added
I tho it's because of my own issue with my rig (my rig is really low right now, only have Intel Integrated Graphics) but before 6.00 hell even before 6.01 which EW release, i don't have any stutter issue, now i had it almost every dungeon, I don't know what to do anymore, but i kinda "struggle" and "tolerate" with it, with having a macro to turn the sound off everytime dungeon, luckily my MSQ had done before 6.01 so there's that
This is absolutely insane. Not even a word in the ''Known Issue''. Like what the actual ....
Im really upset!
I know that the FFXIV dev teams are doing their best, but we've been waiting for a month to get a fix and guess xhat? The update didn't even fixed anything about it! Do you guys know that we're paying a subscription to play a game with an audio bug that literally ruins our game experience? We didn't had any of that before you add the spatial thing into the game! Please do something about it, fix the audio for AMD FX CPUs series and all those people that have been waiting so long for it.
Im cancelling my subscription. Im not gonna pay for a game I can't enjoy playing with this bug.
I've had the exact same problem since the early access of EW, quite honestly this audio bug just completely shatters the immersion for me when playing MSQ. I've already finished the story and think it's quite amazing but however...I personally however refuse to watch the cutscenes ever again with this still going on. I feel like this has to do with Immersive audio pack being implemented into the game and it just basically messed up the sound engine (I never had these issues in Shadowbringers, it was only up until Endwalker was in early access). Guess we gotta wait and all I have to say to Square (I know they are busy or the 14 team is) but FIX THIS it's honestly ruining not just mine but so many other's experiences with this game and ALL it has to offer.
Yeps its worse than ever. I am having to play with out audio just for this reason. Still no updates to as when or if ever they will resolve this issue. Even when using actions in crafting/gathering it goes on massive stuttering fit and Raiding is a complete nightmare. If your not going to fix it SE just give us a toggle option to turn off this new (Better?) audio option completely I am for one, not buying into the hype.
when you write code that is going to run on a multitude of different platforms it is possible that one platform might not handle the code properly. and they are NOT blaming AMD chips etc, they are saying the data collected shows that these chips are the ones having it. and you could easily have 256 GB or a Terrabyte of ram and you could still have this issue if the chips are not executing the code properly. If you do what you say with your system and understood how it works, you'd understand that things can change how your system processes the game's code.
My PC is unplayable owing to this stutter, crackle and pop. It seems worst when mobs are dying around me in a dungeon fight.
Today, I wiped and reinstalled my PC from scratch, only putting Windows 10, NVidia drivers and the base microsoft drivers in before a fresh download of FF. Same issue. Even with NO config files, running the game vanilla, in a tiny window, in Sastasha.
I added the motherboard sound drivers, still the same. Just cannot run it any cleaner than that. Please fix this.
I have the game on PS and PC, but can only play it on the console where the sound behaves.
Resolved:
An issue wherein audio crackling and stuttering occurred under certain conditions.
* For players who continue to experience audio playback issues after the release of Patch 6.08, we ask that you consider disabling DualSense / DUALSHOCK 4 functionality.
Its resolved for me, i have a AMD FX6300 and everything about stuttering and all is completely gone, thank you.
It's now happening for myself and other Mac players: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...to-Mac-players
I have been experiencing this since endwalker started. at first it's bearable, it didn't happen that much on the first days but recently, it has been frequently stuttering even when I just started the game. it has become really bothering, unbearable and annoying specially when I'm in the middle of a savage raid. i have to restart the game multiple times before I the sound goes back to normal. I play on macbook pro '19.
I have an intel Mac, with the latest OS Montenery 12.2.1
It worked fine on Montenery for 1-2 months until endwalker came out
I made a video of my game, I was hoping to catch more voice acting, but this time it didn't happen, that much on the voice, but you can hear the static throughout the entire video. I will try to add them to my open in game ticket or a new ticket. Feel free to share them if you think this will help solve the issue. I can do more if needed.

In the next few days/week if I get some voiced dialog and it's static I will hopefully remember to record it.
I tried the "Audio MIDI Setup" I did nothing for me, I tried a number of the settings.

Greetings,
Thank you for contacting Square Enix support center. We apologize for the inconvenience you have been experiencing with sound static on your Mac when attempting to play the game. Regarding MacOS's latest version macOS Monterey, verification has been in progress for the Mac version of Final Fantasy XIV with the aim of adding support around the end of December, but several issues were confirmed in the inspection process so at this point in time it will be difficult to begin support around end of December.
Verification will proceed and depending on the prospects, we will provide another update.
If you use the Mac version of Final Fantasy XIV, we ask that you please refrain from updating to macOS Monterey until support has been added.
You are able to fin any further updates on the following link:
https//na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/news/detail/80a110ffc18448b48c6d5e856a4d6e0270a0b22e
If you wish to adjust the settings for the audio output frequencies on the device, please launch "Audio MIDI Setup".
If issues persists please report the issue to the Final Fantasy XIV Bug Forum so we may further investigate this issue: https://sqex.to/vzc
6.08 introduced issues to my wife's laptop PC. She was perfectly fine until then.
Underclock your GPU by about 20% and start game in dx11.
Solved it for me!
