I feel the need to point out the majority of the community seems to actually be very happy with how attentive and receptive to community feedback the devs have been. And as someone who over the years been playing FFXIV and a certain other MMO, let me tell you that you really don't know how good you have it in terms of the developers actually listening to player feedback here compared to other big MMORPGs out there.

That said though you sound super unhappy with the game in general, in which case there is a lot of other games out there to play, you shouldn't spend time and money on something you clearly dislike especially if you think it's not going to improve going forward, so you could always look into playing something else?

I have full time job in retail and it's X-mas yet I have still finished the MSQ and had to deal with the queues like everyone else. Yes the queues are the weak link in Endwalker I can admit that, but the real life reasons do make sense right now. We just have to wait a little bit, I'm not defending SE for the queue's just adding my opinion here.

by the same logic, tanks tank. why should tanks get a full DPS kit as well? just need one or two buttons to hold aggro!
scholars back in arr into hw did just fine with a full set of dps kit (clunky as it was for a time with all the cross-skills utilized back then).

even in raids there's an expectation to do most healing during certain damage windows and using primarily ogcds, and big pulls in dungeons tickle most of the time.

Not on FF. Healers are supposed to alternate between heal and dps moments - the latter being a significant part of your activity when you know the fight well and your team is decent. It's when you can't find a dps window that there's a problem; either with your co-healer or with the general organisation of your CDs.


Knowing this, it's not right that the dps cycle is reduced to one touch. To take your example of the dungeons, with a tank correctly stuffed the pattern of pulls is as follows: shield, dot, regen when all is pulled, miracle - miracle - miracle - small cure II to raise the tank's health which must be around 30% if it is not a warrior / flower - miracle - miracle ...

In fact, I'd say the opposite of what you're saying: if you're not spamming almost a single hit during the big dungeon pulls, there's a problem. Either you're at the beginning of the expansion, or the tank isn't putting in his CDs, or you're one of those healers who overheal.

SE was need to make so people can log in to the game is a normal time. They did not. So 5hey failed on this part. The limits are self inflicted.they did not upgraded in time. Now it will take time. Yes.

They statted they are trying to upgrade and add more servers since the begining of the year just saying.

But you just care to ignore the facts about what happened and why there is an issue. You want to blindside it and simply point to the queues and not recognize why they are there. It's fine you can do that but that doesn't make your evaluation valid just agenda driven and misinformed.

You don't upgrade servers overnight to account for an unexpected mass increase in the player base not in the middle of a pandemic and at a time when they can't even get a hold of those servers they've ordered even before this was an issue. Oceania was planned well before xpac as was Data Center travel and those were all put on hold for reasons pertaining to their inability to get the hardware in time not because they weren't planning for it.

No one is happy with the queues it's just that some of us are willing to accept why they are there and deal with it.

I get the frustrations like I mentioned in other topics but you guys are starting to get ridiculous. They have explained in detail about all the issues about EW launch.

You have many, many gaming companies leaving players in the dark about what is going on and you guys take it out on us and them to be rude. I mean...There's a shortage and that's it.
We won't magically get chips from thin air.

SE said they'll continue to compensate time for this if need be.
But this being rude to each other needs to stop because it's really no one's fault here.

There's alot of people on the forums claiming they can't play or haven't played and they have 90 characters like 75% of the time. At this point, people just want attention, not even to the issues but to themselves. I would be happier to see these people unsubbed immediately and moderators directing all traffic to one or two threads. The fact they haven't already done this is a miracle and alittle annoying.

Here's the deal on and off we all mostly pay the same to play, some of us have lvl 90s and finished the story, while some like you seem to be progressing in a decent manner.
Others literally CANT or even HAVENT played since the expansion released earlier this month, and some of us who have already finished the story and such act like they havent been able to play AT ALL.

people can disagree with me and thats fine, i just find it rather hypocritical when they act the same way as those who havent and it rubs me off the wrong way /shrug
If you have lvl 90 characters you have PLAYED the game.

You can, but you insist on entering the threads to complain. I just got home from work and have over 4k people on the queue, so no XIV now. I can't have the service I'm paying for. If you can't see the problem here /shrug.

the join date is date they joined the forums not the game.

Is this really all that "unbearable" for you? then maybe you should get off the forums. Even now as we speak im in a 5500 que. AGAIN. Talk about "unbearable"

100% agree that they should do more to boost their servers. The game has grown significantly since its debut, but they have hardly done much to reinforce the growth (that they've anticipated, mind you). Likewise, they still have policies and features in place that haven't been touched since 1.0. I talk about some of these issues with in game features regarding the blacklist "system" (because how can you call it that when the system fails to be useful).
That being said, I love the new expansion and I think it is certainly the best one they've done yet. The new locations are truly beautiful! I just wish I was able to actually enjoy it without prolonged que times and enabled harassment via poor privacy/player features.

If only there was a way to remotely control your PC from anywhere in the world to reserve queue place

Hmm, my SMN is 90 yet I'm only at the 86 dungeons for endwalker. Maybe job level and actual in game progress aren't the same.

But you are right, I've played during the weekend by logging in early in the morning and not logging out again until late that evening. No botting, less than 30nins AFK to eat something. Very unhealthy way to game which I'm not doing anymore. I can't play during my normal work week because I'll get in the queue right after work, do some chores, come back to 2002, and give up for the night. I've tried wired connection and VPNs but nothing is fixing getting booted in the middle of a queue and I'm not going to seat for hours to babysit my queue because again, very unhealthy way to game.

So yea, as the thread said SE FAILED.

Sadly don't work. I did 5 different ways as well. It just won't show me ff14 on my phone.

Instead of blaming square for not buying more servers, maybe instead you can turn that on crypto bros who caused a scarcity.

They're doing what they can. WE all want to play the game, but demanding they have more servers doesn't mean they can will them out of thin air.

The servers are being ordered and HAVE been ordered. The problem isn't that you cannot order them at all, it's that if you do it takes additional months to get them. So the servers they originally ordered are delayed and the servers they're planning to get are likely a long ways away.

I'm not sure what you're misreading here, but nothing they've said says servers are coming NOW.

Such a failure of an expansion when everyone wants to play it and those who get to do it are having a blast.

I have been in the queue. I have waited hours just to play a bit and get a 9002 error in a cutscene. It sucks, but it's far from being a failure. The emotions, immersion and fun you get by playing this game is so good that such small and temporary annoyances are easily bearable.

In the other hand, I have been watching a lot of movies lately.

Nope. Never thought they were coming now and never said as much. I do, however, think they have had to speed things up a bit though.
