The problem is i already paid 6 month subscription. How do i solve this? Can i get a month refund/pause my account?
No.

So.. i want to be able to play or to get my money back/pause my account.. But i can't
If i ask a refund SE will deactivate my account, no halfmeasures from them. If, when i was buying the key for the expansions they had told me: "hey wait, our potato servers can't probably hold many other ppl", i would have waited.. but they have not.

Edit: You know what they could do?
Honestly: since i can play so few.. instead of useless days of subscription that i can't use (cause of queues and dcs for their errors), they could give me unlocked speed maps and flying currents and some boost at the exp of my jobs.
THAT would make the few time that i can play more tolerable and efficient..

I honestly wonder this too.. If you go on Gamefaqs, Reddit, etc, there are a lot of ppls baffled by how this forums are filled with, what could be the word? I guess FANATICS is the fittest...

I mean.. I LOVE this game, it is very good, maybe even GREAT in some aspects. Is it perfect? No.
Glamour system, housing.. the first few things that comes to mind that could be better..
Try to say something and you are greeted with waves of:"if you are unhappy just unsub", "can i have you things" etc..
Also Yoshi P.... can i confess something? i never liked him (for personal reasons), it seems to me that he is just a smart and false person/businessman.

Because it's ok to let people decide if they have the time to play it and want to buy it instead of forcing that decision on them.

They should let people deactivate their accounts and have their refunds, though. Every consumer makes mistakes.

When the answer to the problem is 'buy more servers' (and yes, even for your 2002 disconnects, that's the solution), and there's no servers to buy, and they've done tweaks to the server load to do the best they can, yeah, you're going to defend that, because, I know this might be hard for you to understand, but sometimes *this shit is outside their hands.*

Had they stopped selling preorders for Endwalker you'd be even more pissed. You wouldn't have understood. You'd still be subbed, and you'd go 'Why am I paying money to this game when I can't even play the expansion, I'm still playing either way so that doesn't change the server situation." So that's not exactly an option now is it?

If instead they'd delayed the game until servers were upgraded, great, now Endwalker goes from a two week delay to an indefinate delay lasting months, or possibly even a year. This is also not a feasible solution.

You're frustrated. We get that. Everyone is frustrated with the queues.

But some of us have the wisdom to look at the broader situation and see that the entire world is fucked with this problem, and that it's outside of the power of multi-million dollar companies to just snap their fingers and fix.

The problem is that we, as humans, didn't buy stuff with chips outside those two manufacturers, and let the other manufacturers go out of business. We handed two companies a world-wide monopoly on the supply of microchips.

SE didn't do that. They don't manufacture equipment.

I re-subbed the day of early access and I wouldn't care if they decided to stop sales, that would mean they actually have integrity. Now what?

what i dont understand is that everyone is passing by the fact that the queues are not something that just happend when endwalker came out, but thy have bin there befor that aswell.

I mean if you tryed to play before endwalker (when a lof of people where not loggin in ever day, as there was not much to do) you where in a queue aswell. I can give you that there where a lot smaller, but that was like i sayed befor.. there where not as many that would log in every day.

So tbh thy should have expected this when thy launched endwalker as lot off players where coming back and now that ff14 is the new hot and bext MMo to play, alot off new players where coming to the game.

Thy should have better prepaired them selfs then what thy have done. As i think its not fair to ask for a sub to a game that a lot of players cant play as they cant get in, or by the time they can its time to go to bed as they have a job to do the next day.

because there wasn't a semiconductor shortage during stormblood, so they can't use that as an excuse and that it's, in the end, an issue square knew of for many years but refused to address because they're cheapskates
maybe it'll get better, considering yoship said that their budget they're getting from SE is way bigger now than it was pre-shb, but it all boils down to SE cheaping out on important things like server infrastructure because people will accept it if you apologize for it

I feel stupid because if i TOUGHT DEEPLY i could have seen this coming.
But i was naive, and i was reaaly waiting for a new game and a new ff14 expasions.
So i bought it, i renew 6 month of subscription and also, honestly, i would have not expected THIS level of congestion..

The problem is, i have no power now. I can't do nothing.
Just wait. Just get angry and bitter for all the queues and dcs, and errors and requeues form the start.
And hope that things will alleviate in the future.

This is just sad -__- and i hope SE, or whoever are administrating this, will know that Yoship is not the only one that shed a tear.

You either accept the SQEX apology and their reasoning, or you don't. Both are completely valid and acceptable responses to the current situation.

Way too late now. But the ability to pause accounts that have time should be something that is looked into over the next two years.

People are free to complain, what's done is done.
You can give a huge explanation, be transparent etc but it won't really help many people's annoyance on the matter.

Personally I could care less of the refund for example, I am almost done with msq and had to stop playing for a bit and could not physically stay in game for less than 30 minutes so I had to log out. And now that I am back I have a 3k queue. Yesterday evening was 5k which I personally decided to not bother and do something else

Even freaking Twintania who came second to last in Firmament completion takes hours to get in afternoon.
Don't tell me Spriggan in Chaos' DC is also this bad?

I don't see how it's being a "corporate apologist" to tell you that you have two options. Either be patient with the queues, because the game STILL IS UP AND WORKING, or refuse to sit in them and unsub. You literally have two options.

I'm not defending SE. I'm not defending the devs. I'm telling you what options you have.

It's the fact that the vast majority are rejecting these options and screaming at the top of their lungs for some mystical all encompassing third option that will fix everyone's problems that I do not understand and am calling out.

If you can't alter your schedule, take time off of work, or life generally prevents you from sitting through the queues, then it's time to take a step back and wait. Be upset, fine. Unsub, fine. However at this point *everything that could have been said has been said.* It's getting tiresome.

It's a video game. It's not the gateway to a mystical paradise, or a wonder drug to cure all problems. A video game. Granted it's a product that people paid for and you have a right to be upset that there are issues, but again, as a consumer product vote with your wallet and unsub if you are so unhappy right now. Or be patient and wait a week or two for the queues to go back to the reasonable number they were before the launch.

It's not blind fanaticism to flat out say what your options are.

What I do understand is, before Endwalker those queues we're along the lines of "You are 38th in a queue" and 2 mins later you were loading. Now, it's you are 5,688th in a queue ...you're lucky if it lowers by any, and even more lucky if you get in inside 3 hours!

Ahh, the fun, and to think people laughed at Queue World (New World) when it came out. Amazon must be having a good chuckle atm.

Someone must have had even a rough idea of the pop and expac order numbers, and even if nothing could be done because of lack of hardware, then it boils down to pure corp. greed and heads should roll.

Don't be shocked if they throw Yoshi under the Bus and have him say sorry for their greediness!

It should be said that while the semi conductor shortage is the MAIN cause of this in terms of stifling their ability to host the increased player base, let's us remember that a not so insignificant amount of new players were also drawn to this because of the problems over at Blizzard and their criminal treatment of not just their own employees but the damn lore of the game has reached the breaking point for many of those players. Then you got the likes of steamers of significant reputation starting to play FFXIV like Asmongold and it's likely that whatever growth projections that SE had before this summer ended up coming up WAY under their current targets. When your a business who has to make plans based on projections months to even years out event's like this can take even the most well prepared business by surprise. The queue's suck, I know myself it's a pain, it will eventually calm down in time at least and even SE is prepared to give extra sub time to compensate if needs be but getting mad about things outside our control isn't going to do anyone any favours.

Posts like these are so stupid and are made by people that are either very young or have no grasp on how businesses operate.

It's very simple; people have bought a product that clearly isn't operating well. As such they have every right to be angry and complain - regardless of how many apologies and gametime compensation is being handed out.
If 100% refunds were an option it would change things - but as it stands it's just that simple; people have bought a broken product and are complaining. Rightly so.

You say you 'get it' , then 'get it' and move on.
Let the people that want to complain do so. It's their right. If it annoys you, move on.

Your post, as well as mine, change nothing. But you're just adding fuel to the fire by trying to defend it.

If you read the TOS you supposedly agreed to when you signed up for your account, you would have noticed the part where they don't guarantee server availability. If you cannot live with the possibility that you'll have to sit in a queue for a long time before you get to play (or not at all), then you probably should not have committed to 6 months at a time.
