Screw that, make it better then the DS 4 remake!!

I would like to see FF4 and FF6 (heck, FF9 too!) characters akin to FF13/14 character designs (full bodied, overall more realistic, less on the super deformed, tho FF6 didn't have a choice).
Oh!
Oh... cake. CAke... it's so good.
Nicholas Cage "I want that cake!"
Also it says this:

Sure hope for their sake that they have good examples of game play on hand at E3. There is only so many times people will be fooled by pretty cinematic cut scenes.
I should be covering E3 this year for Fragworld.org FF14 2.0 is one of my big reasons of wanting to go...hopefully meet one of the awesome game devs there for an exclusive interview~ mewhahhaaha
Will see CGI... but hopefully we get alot of Ingame footage. I hope Ingame footage is amazing though and they show alot of awsome features like jumping/Magictek Armor/Chocobo bard battling/new areas/new jobs-classes/crystal tower and new enemies and new awsome sound track.
I am both excited and anxious for a reveal on 2.0. I've only just started playing a few weeks ago and almost hit 50 and I absolutely love the game as I've experienced it and I've never really gotten deep into an mmo before this. There is talk of wiping the slate almost completely clean; I do hope I can squeeze in all the current content in before then. Go Yoshida and Dev team! ^_^
I expect this to be shown behind closed doors for the press. We'll see plenty of stuff in articles and we'll see some trailers, but I doubt it'll be shown on stage during a televised press conference.
Im trying to keep my expectations in check...I really hope they can pull off everything they claim in a year - year and a half. I have faith in yoshi and square.mreading the PDFs over and over I just wonder if they are going to be able to squeeze everything in.
No, because its a closed beta test which means only those who have active FFXIV accounts will be able to play it, and since it'll be on the same servers using the same account it'll be free.
They are using E3 to promote the game, they need to get everything they show out, not just the press who can say anything, I would expect something like "Square Enix admits FFXIV total failure, can we trust their "remake"??? No we can't" all we saw was a CGI trailer. We have seen how some websites already troll any good news regarding FFXIV, I don't think this sort of thing would be too unrealistic.
But if SE is on stage they can promote it how they want to the gamers.
I'm always excited for E3. I can not wait to see it this year. FF14 will be an amazing added bonus for me.
It will just be nice to see something other then the same few pictures we have all been dreaming over. Come on XIV team!! Blow our minds!!!
Not to derail, but here is a good question for you guys... Do you think we'll look forward to each expansion the way we look forward to 2.0?
DO you think SE will be as forthcoming with info on said expansions as they are with 2.0?
I really hope so... Honestly... I love the anticipation of 2.0 just as much as I will probably love playing it when it releases
That's a very good question. Ever since the XIV team was restructured this has probably been the best of example of communication with a player base I've seen. I'm not so sure we'll be getting info as frequently for expansions since there's obviously a lot more info to give out from the start with a whole new version update, most of which they likely still haven't revealed, but at the very least I'm hoping that attitude remains. Player polls and such, etc etc.
Ironic, given how most E3 trailers tend to be CG trailers or of unfinished stuff that never ends up being the actual thing lol, remember Zelda for Gamecube? How it ended up as cel-shaded? (WW was still a good game though.) CGI is what excites people every developer knows this, hell they even have live-action stuff shown off show that you'll almost never see in-game.
I bet there will be a CGI CS showing clips of whats happening with Dalmung, but I think yoshi will show some in-game footage because people NEED to see just how much has improved.
I don't know exactly how they plan to do 2.0 at E3, but I imagine they will try to show something even in a game montage during the Sony E3 Conference since they will likely want to pimp the upcoming PS3 beta test along with the actual release of it on the PS3 after 2 years of near public silence on that release. What I would love is if a rep or Yoshida can show up and talk about the release (even if he doesn't have a demonstration) followed by a quick gameplay/CG trailer to show off the new vision. And then rest goes to the new promotional site. Remember they are making a new teaser site for 2.0, they will need some way to get a larger audience to go visit that site and only the press conferences get that kind of exposure.
Don't expect to much at E3 other than a trailer the real information will come after.
