U do realize that its money and time we are talking about right? i dont care if its one cent or whatever u want...we are still giving something, we are still paying to get a good service...its like if u go to a dentist and u pay for a 150 bucks tooth filling..n they treat u like crap and did a bad job on u...are u gona say oh it was only 150 dlls...oh well... hell no u go n tell em hey better fix ur mistake or compensate u with something right?...

actualy, if you go to the dentist, the better comparison is that you have an 8am appointment and they make you wait til 810 to go in

Oh no, patch day stress causing server issues? Man, that's never ever happened in an MMO before in all of history. I mean it's not like we didn't know the servers were shoddy already and that they're implementing a new server system in 2.0...oh wait.

Are we all really THAT surprised considering the state the servers have been in since launch? They haven't really changed and the additional stress of patch day has caused this exact issue before. Not only that but this happens in other games, it's not a failing that is solely SE's fault. At least they're going to do their best to get a good fix in for 2.0. Until then we're just operating on the same old servers we have been.

You are new here aren't you? O.o Even when this game was free people made similar posts such as yours claiming they deserved to have X type of service because they bought the game. SE lost millions of dollars over the last 2 years so your 9$ isn't really that big of a deal. You have to understand, this type of stuff will most likely be the norm til 2013 when the new hardware is implemented. If it pisses you off that bad, don't log on the day after a patch; wait 1 day. 1 day of not playing XIV won't freaking kill you.

Oh and SE isn't going to "compensate" you with anything. Well maybe a "Thank you for your patience" response and that's it LOL.

I'm glad everyone is coming back and bogging down the servers.. I hope this give SE time to get ready for the Welcome Back event :D

Well now that I know this happens regularly I suppose we should learn to expect this, while at the same time still try to hold SE to the standards they tried to set, which includes not breaking the game with patches. I think it's a learning process, they are testing things, and we should not expect a full game.

While it stinks that the servers are down now, I'm honestly pretty pleased with the way they are handling this game, constantly growing it and making it better.
