Minor Gripes You'd Like To See Changed or Fixed: A Thread

Have old alliance raids drop two pieces of loot per boss like the later raids, rather than the current one, to make glamour farming easier. Maybe just axe the belts entirely, they're useless now.

Let us buy old raid loot (Alexander, Omega) for one token rather than two to four. Again, glamour purposes, since the gear isn't useful for much else anymore anyway.

Put raid loot that's guaranteed to drop (alliance coins, weapon tokens) on the currency tab, rather than taking up bag slots.

For Wondrous Tails: Put raids of the same group as one entry, rather than each fight separately. So for example, instead of Labyrinth of the Ancients, Syrcus Tower, and World of Darkness, we'd just have one Crystal Tower entry. Or instead of having Alexander: Eyes/Breath/Heart/Soul of the Creator, as four entries, just Alexander: Creator.

A gripe is why don't casters or healers have access to hoods like the Copied Factory hoods ninja & mch/bard hoods? In lore all across any fantasy game, mages can wear hoods. Not in FFXIV apparently unless you're the exarch.
I get why things are exclusive but there's no reason to not provide the player base with other designs similar to what NPCs have.
It just feels like SE pretends to listen to the player base.

There used to be this thread about glamour rules loosen up and a vocal number of people against that because silhouettes must be maintained... not that it is something very cohesive ti begin with a lot of designs and options anyways, but my point is... specifically for YoRHa gear, I think we should get replicas from all sets after the last part is done with.

For the simple reason that they don't look like combat armor, at all... If you look at all of them together you can't tell what is fending, scouting, etc, because they look like fashionable clothes. At best, they would look like something a (very runway-forward) mage would wear.

Few things
. 400 limit on Glam is an absolute trash system. Expand it to infinity and straight up adopt the WoW system that was literally stolen from Rift btw to have the player obtain the glam once they obtain the item. You would open up an entire new end game for a lot of people farming for glams.
. Glam sets need to be expanded wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more. This current limit is simply ridiculous
. Give us Archaeology. For god sake it is a story driven RPGMMO and you barely have any lore scattered throughout the game
. Give us an RPG library in a main city that contains all the knowledge of the entire game in one spot
. In the next iteration of FF14 stop using so much instancing. World travel from one zone to the next should be seemless not load screens. I know this was done because the game was designed to work on a PS3 but guys it is 2020 and we have the PS5. Come on.
. Make interrupts a thing again so tanks have something to focus on during boss fights. Also add attacks in mobs that require interrupts or someone gets one shotted to slow down these tank pulls in instances.
. Add a Mythic plus system. Just admit it was a good idea to add it in WoW in CONCEPT but make the easy fixes and give us something to do at end game. So many endless threads on this on how to fix that mess in WoW and still make people want to do it for fun.
. Stop advertising housing as a feature of FF14 if you actually are never going to fix it.

here's something, can healers and casters get some actual armour at this point? Not every whm is a petite anime girl, and there's a lot of casters who would look good with intimidating metallic sorceror armour like golbez for example

I want to wear a hat and not pay real money for a haircut...
On and a ingame chiropractor.. just cause I'm a "beasty" race does not mean I have to be all hunched over all the time!

I'd like to see the following things:

- 2vs2 and 8vs8 feast matches, both unranked and ranked. also remove the "every party needs to have a tank, healer a ranged dps and melee dps" rule.
- more PvP rewards (for example, Glamour from 24 man Raids which are a horrible pain in the ass to farm)
- every piece of Equipment placed into the Glamour Chest becomes "all classes" for the customisation purpose only.
- Not a minor change, but having a "hard mode" for all dungeons would be great, not the kind of hard mode we had in ARR/HW, but a actual hard mode.
- The Mask from The Qarn Cowl and the Mask from Loonh Gah as a DYEABLE "all Classes" Item (and more masks like this in general)

Players who start in Gridania get a similar if not identical mask that I think is dyeable, but I'm not 100%. But that's only 1/3 of the player base LMAO

ALSO SE: STOP MAKING RINGS UNIQUE. I'm not big on savage content but I hate that otherwise the next bis rings are the augmented tomestone gear, and I can only have one ring, plus an un-augmented one, which makes me just shy of being able to be at 500 ilvl. Don't punish players who aren't into savage raiding. :(

Its just a similar Mask. The two i mentioned have unique Patterns on them which the Monoa Mask does not have.

MSQ or quest duties requiring me to leave my queue. That is the most infuriating thing ever.

Linking continuous quests all together so when you finish one part of it you don't have to click on the NPC just to continue the quest again.

You know how Zones usually get "title cards"? You know how Gangos doesn't? I think that should eventuality be addressed.

Also would like to extend the Glamor Plate's spheres of influence to areas outside sanctuaries by with no mobs, such as the aforementioned Gangos and the Wolves' Den. Maybe Lyhe Mehg as well.

Oh this would be glorious.

Other minor things...

1. No hunting log updates for combat based jobs from 3.0 forward.
2. BLU being lower lvl cap than other jobs (But maybe the cap increase in next update is a hint they are fixing this)
3. Certain things not being shared between all characters on the same world such as personal homes, retainers and their associated storage, minion guide, mount guide, etc...
4. Too many types of raid tokens. Do like Bozja and just make 1 token type per raid with different quantities needed for item exchanges.

Their explanation for this is The Hunt, but that doesn't really afford you as much in the way of exp as it does the seals for mounts/emotes/glam and the like.

TBH the hunting logs were more of a source of EXP for a job + an excuse to travel to some areas of the world you probably wouldn't have visited otherwise.

As I see it The Hunt can accomplish the same goals from HW onward as the class-specific hunting logs did for ARR. It has random monsters as targets so traveling is a given. EXP-wise they're not as good per entry, at maybe 2% of a level (I'm guessing a lot here), where the class hunting logs give 5%-ish towards the end. But mark bills refresh every day, so if in maybe a week you'll have gained more EXP from them. I've often done them while waiting for roulettes to pop.

Since I'd mentioned it on another thread I'll reiterate it here. I'd like for there to be another way of getting Field Notes besides Skirmishes/CEs, preferably for Clusters or Coins

Let players use the blacklist function in duties.

Let people send /tells during duties.

For Yo-kai Medallium, add some kind of visual effect to signify that you've obtained the weapon for that minion. A check mark or sparkles is simple yet good enough.

Add some kind of 'dye box' to store your dye in permanently. Kind of like how Beastman tokens were converted from carry-able items, to currency. I have enough unique dyes, constantly on hand, to fill up basically 2 block of inventory space. That's 70/140 inventory space. You can fit I think 135 unique dyes if you have them all. Add a cap of 99 or 999 to the box if needed.

Ease up on the consent restrictions on Duty Recorder and make it available to more content. As a trade-off to lifting the consent restrictions, make all players' names invisible. Make names visible when all players consent. It would be very interesting to play Duty Recorder at the same level of 'Theater Mode' from Halo 3 or something. Except with the added features of lighting adjustments, sticker mode, and every other features available in /gpose. So much potential here for fun. Maybe this game is just not technically there yet?

Yeah i thought adding lockboxes to rank 3 and above mobs, and boosting the memories drop rates would be good honestly. as well as adding more forgotten actions purchasable by clusters at a level equal to your rank besides the ones that only drop in castrum. Since old field notes = lockboxes, your suggestion would essentially do just that

If not... AT LEAST, while using the glamour storage, let us choose colors that are in our chocobo saddlebag or retainer's inventory

I'd like to see a tasteful bulge added for male characters. Blue Protocol intends to do it. Overwatch has done it. Various other games with the same rating as FFXIV have done it.

Let us see a time stamp when a person logged in last in LS and CWLS so we can know who is not as active.

CWLS player capacity is 64 players at the moment if you look at LS they can have 128 players CWLS really is in need of Player capacity increase.

Aura settings

Let me have my original dark knight aura back, and those people who don't like it untick a box so they don't have to see it

If I'm on a DoL (or DoH I suppose), I'm not interested in the obnoxious FATE notifications ("FATE Joined") showing up in the middle of my screen. I could care less if the FATE fails if I'm just in the vicinity getting materials. I dunno what the point of playing the devastating chord with "FATE Failed" for me if I happen to be within the affected area when I'm not even on a DoW/M.

Oddly enough they opaqued DRK to a point where its barely visible and i swear they made WAR brighter than its ever been before, I never really was big on Darkside, but that one they gave DRK in the job actions trailer for HW, would have been nice.

Id go further and say give us a command for /autoignorefate /autosyncfate and we all would be happy... fates are 2.0 and we are soon on 5.4 and its STILL not a thing >_>

I get that the "lore" states that Highlander males shave their eyebrows off, but we've seen more than a few that kept them. I'd love to have some eyebrows.

Bumping this because it's seriously bugging me, especially since it's reset and I can get more allegory but I can't get more augmented crystarium rings :'))))))

for the love of god, dont make ques pop in a cut scene! Some heavy spoiler stuff happened and choosing between a penalty or skip the scene is daunting more so if its mid quest so i cant replay only in the Never ending journey
