Find out what my limitations are. Can't make a plan unless you know what is not possible.
First, buy a fantasia and change into an Au Ra (if I can't fantasia then, oh well I guess). Second, learn what I can and can't do and if I have free will to do what I want. 3rd learn summoner and scholar jobs. 4th find others that want to be evil and team up to take over Eorzea!
I'd find limsa lominsa and join the adventurer guild and arcanist guild and start my journey and try to find y'shtola to have her in my team.
If i can use a fantasia, change to viera rava.
Pick up anything nearby that could be used as a weapon in case of monsters, find a settlement, earn some money for a change of clothes and some survival gear, see what happens and go from there.
I would visit my character's home
I presume that I do not have the ability to manipulate aether, as I am an Earth human transported to Eorzea. I didn't suddenly become an Eorzean Hyur.
First goal would be to acquire a magitek weapon. Either a rifle or a gunblade, and to find a reliable source of magitek charges for my weapon. Since I have no money, I guess I need to do some leves. I'd join either the miner's or the botanist's guild and do some leves to scrounge up some cash to buy a a cheap, functional weapon. Once I have that, I might do some adventuring with folks I met at the pup until I can afford a Chocobo.
After that, my long term goal would be to attain wealth, power, and glory, probably by pledging myself to one of the nations in the setting as a champion or an agent, and use the wealth I accumulate from my service and my adventures to eventually buy myself a nice house. I am partial to almost all of the nations in Aldenard, even Garlemald (namely the IVth Legion). Hm... really tough decision.
For a puny human like me, it seems like the only places where I can 1. climb up the social ladder and become powerful and 2. is likely to survive for the long term are Ul'dah and Limsa. If I put in the extra effort to aid a resistance rebelling against a far stronger empire, I can go to Ala Mhigo, Bozja, or Noah's kingdom, but there are a lot of "maybes" involved in whether or not we will succeed, and whether or not I would be reward with a fief and a title in the end. Everywhere else either doesn't have long term prospects (Ishgard), or I am unlikely to get a fief and a title as a foreigner (Doma, Hingashi).
real answer is that I'd probably get attacked and eaten by some hostile creature or another within my first 5 minutes of being there
I absolutely am not physically fit enough to be an adventurer, much less a good one, so my best bet is to book it to Gridania and try to find a way to make myself useful. If I was in Ul'dah or Ishgard I'd be starving on the streets. Might be able to find some work in Limsa, but I like my chances better in Gridania.
Create the ultimate harem.
Step 1. Get ahold of a Fantasia potion so I don't have to be a boring hooman anymore...
Step 2. Pray to the Twelve that I don't have an exceptionally strong connection to the Echo that will result in me being pushed by people into being the Warrior of Light.
Step 3. Likely get labeled one of the most dangerous people in the world due to the inevitable mishaps that will result in my experiments as I pursue things for my own curiosity...
I'd look for Aymeric. Don't worry about why.
Deny to Join Scions and create an alter universe
Go to the adventurers guild, attune to the city States aetherite, sign up to gladiators guild.
Get swindled out of money and/ or the clothes on my back and left for dead by either pirates or bandits depending on whether I wake up in La Noscea or Thanalan. If I wake up in Coerthas, then I'll probably die from the frigid cold.
The only places I can see myself surviving is if I wake up in Yanxia and help the village with odd jobs since I don't know the first thing about tending to farmlands, or I could go to the Ruby Sea and join the Confederacy. Gyr Albania, I could try to make a living as a salt miner or join the Resistance.
Gridania's an absolute last resort considering the blatant xenophobia towards outsiders as well as the elementals possibly deciding to yeet me out of their forest as soon as possible. The conjurers don't exactly have much of a choice when it comes to listening to the elementals due to the constant threat of Greenwrath. If it means facing certain death or tossing me out on my ass and denying me any services, I already know what they're choosing.
Find my character and ask her for help.
Find my character and observe one of two things:
a) Given that my character's mind was me behind the scenes all this time, she is sitting there like a mindless doll waiting to be taken over. In that case I pull an Ascian trick and take her over and live as her from that point onward.
b) Since her possession by me has now ended, she has her full faculties and mind. First, I beg for her forgiveness as it would be never my intent to take over someone willingly. Provided she forgives me and doesn't kill me on the spot, we sit and drink tea while discussing the illusionary concept of free will and the limits of our perception. In the end, I pledge my support to her and beg her to take me as her apprentice on anything she might want to teach me. We end up falling in love and roam the lands together helping people in need and kicking villains in the butt, happily ever after.
