There is an Online Store maintenance scheduled for the 16th/17th so get ready for something new. You can hope this is one of the new items but frankly after all this time I think the decision has been made to not port it.

Clipping should never be a reason why we don't get something. It's up to the individual player to find ways to circumvent it if it bothers them, or to choose to go with something else if it's too much for them personally. The fact remains, many of us, maybe even a majority of us, would rather use something we like even if potential clipping is something we have to contend with. It thus makes no sense for that to be a reason something isn't allowed to be accessible to us. It's honestly rather insulting to us if that ever really was a reason for something not being made or becoming available to us. As if we can't make such choices for ourselves. We don't need the developers to make such choices for us. Make it and put it out there and let us decide if it's worth it for ourselves or not as individuals.

Oh and, just to add, those heels would be a nice addition too. Just saying. There really is no good reason for us to not have the option to buy this outfit in our version of the game. It doesn't even make sense financially. The cost to bring it over vs. the sales that will surely take place at minimum just make it money to be had. Then again, Square just sits on money ideas rather often it seems. I don't get their mindset. It doesn't hurt anyone by adding more merchandise in the online store. It gives players more options and them more money. It's literally a win-win. No one is forced to buy products they don't want, especially aesthetic ones.

I have been experiencing this hope then disappointed cycle every time they do a Mogstation maintenance for long time :<

Did SE even said it was because of clipping issue?
There are way more outfits and hairstyles with clipping issues... or sometime the piece just disappear into the void to "avoid" clipping.
We players are like peasants compare to NPC in term of glamour.
That lad from DRK storyline got super long hair style, where is ours, many have been asking for longer hair styles.
The Miqote NPC that starts the RDM got some nice sock and shoe, I think they appeared in NPC of ARR Hildibrand quest too, still not getting anything similar.
And look at all the NPC with normal daily clothes...

SE hasn't said anything on this particular outfit, no - just a lot of people speculating that it may be because of the clipping. But as you said, SO many things clip, especially with the longer hairstyles. BLM's can't even wear hats without their staffs clipping through aha (even the AF gear!).

So yeah. Clipping is not an excuse for this to not be added, imo -- especially if it's a mogstation piece that people can choose to buy themselves.

But alas... still no news on this outfit.

It's hilarious that the Princess dress clips through the hands even in IDLE stances.

They HAVE just announced/put in the files the release of another korean outfit (not this one, however), so I'm hoping it will lead to this one being implemented down the line...

If something just clips when I sit a certain way, I don't mind much. If my hands clip into it, it bugs me a lot, and I won't wear it. That one sky pirate top is amazing, but the huge bags on the side that your hands clip into just ruins it for me. I don't know why this specific set hasn't been released yet, but I'd wager it has nothing to do with clipping and everything to do with something else involving the "exclusive" nature of it. I realize they use the word "exclusive" and then we get it anyway later, but it could really mean exclusive for once?

Yeah it's interesting, as it's been over 3 years now since the release of this dress on the Korean server, with all other exclusives after being brought to the EU/NA/JP servers since. I really hope we get some answers on this!

Again some more outfits have been released since this post, and it's upsetting that it seems this has been put on the back bench :(

These outfit's digital ownership is owned by the Korean company via a legal contract because they paid SE to make them for Korean server only.

Just putting my two cents in:

- I doubt that the staff would lose out on a chance to make money simply because some people were whining about clipping. Let's be real. If they cared that much about things clipping then hair wouldn't clip into gear.
- If that dress was made specifically for the Korean server, there is a very high chance it will never show up here simply because it's not meant for us and is meant to be an exclusive item for the members of the Korean server.
- If the person behind the creation of the dress is willing to have us have it, then odds are the issue is in the terms for what the creator wants from staff and staff basically being like: "No."

I highly doubt the staff for FF is just being like "Nah let's make them suffer by not releasing this one dress" because what logical sense would that make?

As far as i know the Chinese server handed it out to players as part of the compensation for their server issue...
I dont care about the dress i want head and shoes for glamour..

Why haven’t they added this yet?

As stated earlier in this topic, these sorts of items aren't handled by the main team and instead by teams running localized versions of the game in China/Korea. Whatever licensing involved in the items released there are likely the gate keeping them from being released to the wider FFXIV audience and why these items, if released to the wider audience, take time to get into our hands. The fact this particular dress, as much as I like it and would pay to own it, hasn't yet been released likely indicates that the gate on it is more strict than those released already.

IIRC, there's also a jacket that released a long time ago and still hasn't been made available too.

Those clip-proning dresses tend to have good leggings, which would be the only reason why I would buy them :thinking:

Not a day goes by where I don't think about this dress...

I've telling myself "t-this maintenance for sure...!" for the past 4 years, you'd think I'd learn my lesson by now ;_;

At this point, I don't care about the dress. Just release the rest of it (Mainly shoes) and I'll be satisfied.

They actually aren't. You'll notice pretty key differences with the male outfit, different beading and scarves on the belt, and the female outfit doesn't look similar at all.
