The way Francel talks about things the next stage may be as early as 5.15 (and take much likely longer to complete) and the stages of the Restoration may be phased by quests similar to the Doman Enclave.

Phase 1 of the Restoration was in effect an "Open Beta" of the system to test it before the real heart of the event gets released.

sure, one lvl in exp and the 500 scrips are a nice bonus if you are still leveling, but pretty irrelevant once you hit 80 on your crafters

People have blown the FATE entirely out of proportion for what it is.

That sheep FATE in the Steppe? Do that for literally the same type of experience. There is nothing special but the 500 scrips for rewards that can be bought on the MB. Change 500 scrips to 100 and I'm sure World Visit problem wouldn't even have come up.

You do not craft, you do not gather. At best you get a level as a crafter. Something you can get from a HQ Grand Company Turn in.

That's what bugs me. There should have been crafting with the FATE. Like ... all that suff stockpiled up, crafters would choose them from piles to make something else, still in line with the level of crafter they are. I think that would make it more crafter focused.

And that was what I was afraid of when I first heard about how they were doing this. There is no "capping" on how much players can put in a day, so there are players who can just sit there and craft. Not saying that is bad in any way, but devs just gotta keep that in mind when making certain events.

Hopefully this patch was supposed to estimate said speed of crafting for the future stages so that those can last much longer.

True. Between leveling crafters/gatherers and 500scrips+1 level worth of EXP in 3min, people would choose the path of least resistance (i.e. highest reward/effort ratio).

Hopefully the next patch tier will have more crafting involvement in the fate itself, otherwise you could do 5 (I think?) lv80 turn ins for the same amount of rewards and take about the same time if you have a reliable rotation.

At 58 scrips per item, it'd be 9. Still pretty easy, and you can do far more than that in just the time between the bar hitting 100% and the FATE actually spawning, let alone while contributing to filling the bar up to spawn the FATE.

Your personal opinion of the event is not what anyone here is asking for. We just wanted to actually experience it for ourselves. To take part. To be there in the crowd doing the thing with everyone else, as you so derisively spit for some reason.

Let me ask you: is there any actual DOWNside to allowing the FATE to continue happening occasionally during the between-patch periods? No. And as you've said, the rewards aren't really stellar either, so... why not? It clearly wouldn't break or unbalance anything.

If you're going to claim denying others of an experience is suddenly NOT bad just because you personally have decided how you feel about it, you need to revise some of the other opinions you hold strongly.

I got to do the FATE once. And it the first phase was done within 2 weeks. They should increase the numbers of items you have to turn in because its crazy on how quickly this event went by. Now we have to wait until next year for the next phase to be released.

What they should do is make the FATEs *not* be a one time thing per phase. Decrease the rewards if needed, but as it stands, it gives people who just happen to be on at the right time a massive advantage for leveling and getting a nice chunk of scrips.

Perhaps a redesign is needed? I wouldn't be against removing the FATE all together and just having a quest pop up that people can then watch a cut scene of the progress that happens. Then put the reward into three sized tier levels and which one you get depends on how much you contributed. That way everyone can get something and sees everything.

Exactly without that fate (eventhough I found it quite boring and could use some big improvements on that) it would just be turn ins for Rowena but instead of going to Mor Dhona you go to Ishgard.
