end of 24pl frontline

Yup. Waited for around 3 hours, then I logged off too. It is extremely disrespectful of SE to do such a thing and not give a good reason for it. Just cause I play at odd hours shouldn't mean that I should get punished for it.

If they wanted to remove 24s... they should've just ditched 24s and 72s and brought back 48s which imho was the best... had enough people to fill the map and still few enough that strategy could outperform zerging.

That is how bad queues are going to get. IE: you can't play before roulette time. Period. This is the worst change to the game I've ever personally experienced and this is the first time I've ever had to post on these boards because I am so appalled by this situation. Funny thing is, this isn't anywhere near my longest queue. Worst was around 420 minutes... basically it was like 5amish to 11am. That's generally what it is everyday. So if you liked to play morning pvp, you are out of luck. Anyone that can't play at prime time (me) you are out of luck. My pvp has gone from 15 - 25 matches a day... to like, oh 3 - 4? So I have one option to me, change my sleep pattern or no pvp. I guess this really goes to show you what SE thinks of pvp. Why don't they just go ahead and remove it entirely from the game? Funny thing is, you need less people to play revival wings than FL now. LOL. I've played revival wings a total of like 5 matches because I go to bed around 9pm and even though it is the most fun pvp mode, it is for some reason so unpopular that it is only played on the weekends at prime time. Oh and lets not forget, it basically has one map. FL and RW have a total of 4 maps between them, another sign of how much SE cares about pvp lol. (They never run the other RW map btw)

What about allowing 24 at certain times? What about those who can't play at prime time?

I don't think this is a great change. I haven't done this in a while, but I know from past experience that if you queue into frontlines between like 10pm-6am PST, you basically won't get a queue other than 24 man.

I really dislike the 72man fights. I was part annoyed with the moogle event making que's nothing but them personally hehe. Not bothered to que for pvp since this change since I came late to pvp I missed 2 of the three garo mounts and I dont like the new pvp gear so I have no reason to force myself through it. I enjoyed the more tactical style of 8v8v8. 72man jus feels like one big clusterf**k and random how good of a group u get.

This totally breaks my heart and it may even end up in me quitting the game entirely. People need to complain LOUDLY. This is a freakin' joke. I've never been this angry before at any given change. It makes zero sense to me and many others. Some might say, well play the feast. Even the feast has been empty during the mornings recently and I don't enjoy it as much as I do FL. Feast is just a mindless death match, whereas there is a pretty good amount of strategy to FL. Also, people complain about the old 8 person pre-made pvp groups... however, a lot of the time, you can win a match without fighting very much at all. The team that avoids combat at all costs can win a very large percentage of the time by going after objectives rather than mindlessly slaughtering one another. Or by letting the other two sides fight while they go after map objectives. So even with the pre-made 8 person teams, I was able to win quite a bit. Anyways, the 4 person pre-made limit should mostly fix that problem as well. So get your head out of your ass and give us back the 8v8v8 option to FL.

Unless the goal is to entirely kill of PvP, and if that is the case, they are doing a wonderful job at it. I only play mornings so imagine how often I get to play now that the requirement is 72 people. Basically never. This is the stupidest change I've ever seen from ANY game company. Unless like I said, they are purposefully killing off pvp. A few months later, due to lack of interest... PvP will be removed from the game. LOL now that would be really funny.

I have to agree, now queue times are much longer. No frontlines now unless it's peak hours, or you wait several hours. Not sure why they made this change.

I assume it is because people crying about premade but ends up with SE double down on the resolution.

The entire reason for adding 24 man raids was because 72 was too difficult to queue for most people now a lot of off-hours players are locked out of this content again. Or make new, smaller pvp events that can be done with fewer people? I'm really disappointed. Already haven't been able to do rival wings for 10 months now...

And the sad part is... 72 person FL isn't much fun anyways. Way too zergy for my liking. You basically sit at a large group of people and pray you don't get targeted. No intimate fights, just boring zerg mentality. 8v8v8 was the MOST FUN frontlines in my opinion as well. I would always get upset a bit when it was 72 man. Anyways, people have to keep the complaints up to a fever pitch.

Congratulations SE, by removing 8 player premades you've only made the issue worse. Limit players to 4 player premades? Nope, you've driven people into the same Grand Company for a potential 24 player premade. At least 8 player premades could be balanced into other Grand Companies, now they're all just in the same one, completely destroying any attempt at balance. Nice job, SE. Nice job. If only someone saw this coming...

Bring on the "Everyone is now locked to Freelancer" change, I guess. Not that I care, Frontlines is dead soon enough with 24 player mode removed. Congratulations on trying to fix something that wasn't broken, breaking it in the process, and all for the sake of a bunch of Garo boys who don't even play the mode anymore.

I say this as a solo player, Frontlines is far less fun now. Somehow you've managed to increase individual survivability yet completely countered it by just shooting damage output of melee through the roof. So this whole remove premades to placate soloists? It's achieved nothing because of that other balance changes.

I'd say this was a bust, too. The changes feel mostly pointless and crappy. Melee probably all feel extremely happy, but every other role? Feels nerfed at best, worthless at worst. Don't get me started on the addition of AoEs. Who's bright idea was it to give ranged Jobs completely worthless AoEs? Melee ranged AoEs on a role that gets melted by a single melee? Are you f*cking joking? Just replace the AoE skills with a suicide button instead, because that's effectively what they are currently anyway.

Are PvP changes playtested with Squadron AI bots or something? That's the only possible way I can imagine anyone on the dev team could have thought Quick Nock/Spread Shot/Enchanted Moulinet were remotely worthwhile additions... Only way to 1v1 on ranged is to keep your distance, and even then you'll probably lose, and you're telling us to close distance for AoEs in 1v2+ scenarios? Seriously, why do I even need to explain how dumb this is? Wide Volley and Grenade Shot should still be kicking around the game files prior to their deletion in Stormblood, use those instead. Replace Enchanted Moulinet with an adjusted Contre Sixte. Oh look, ranged Jobs can now stay at range like the bleedin' role name suggests... Why does this even need to be suggested...

Nice to have definitive confirmation that Ninja is Mr. PvP Dev guys favorite Job, at least.

well im pretty sure the only feedback they actually care about is from the jp playerbase and i dont think premades were never a issue among em.

This just happened. Came out of a match where my GC ended with a score of zero. Well it's a separate issue; should never have based pvp on grand companies.

nail on the head, all known premades are just solo queong as mael and the issue is worse. I did premade but this is just stupid.

Need to just let 8 man and 24s return

Nah, the 4 person groups are fine, just enforce Freelancer on every FL match (to avoid GC stacking and 8 player goon squads) and return 24's.

mmm no, 4 player cap needs to be removed too.
Premades made 24s pop half of the time in the first place, and they wont do 4 player parties so no.
Both changes need to be reversed. Thats not good enough.

But the choice of your company does not affect the company you are being put in pvp.
I am un flames and in pvp i am being put randomly but most often i am being put in adders team.

That would be because you have Freelancer set, so it puts you in any Grand Company, as a Freelancer. You can turn this off and only be put in your Grand Company, as I said;
