I would love to see the Vera and add the Musketeer Class too.

oh yeah i wanna kills some damn Dragons to or ride one. This is one of the only FF games i haven't seen an actual dragon to kill yet.

I really hope they dont make it so any crafting class can repair any item. I really like a lot of the questions asked. I am curious to see what the majority answered for the new race question. I put down I that I would like to see hybrid races, since that seems like something that would happen in reality. I dont think the game needs new (and kinda crazy) races per se, just additions to the current races and equal sexes for both. Elven/human hybrids seems like something that would happen, however I can't see how Lala's would mix well with any other race, and the same can be said for the Roe's.

Looking forward to the summary of this player poll in a few weeks.

Ok did anyone actually read the poll? the new race question was for a new BEASTMAN race, how many BEASTMEN races are playable?

Also I would imagine they are planning on releasing all the classes and jobs mentioned, they just want our input as to what will get in 2.0 and which will get in an expansion, just what I think.

I would also say BLU would either be a mage that melees or another unique class/job, it would be a cross of these 2, because they learn abilities from mobs, but with the direction they are taking, it would be harder to implement BLU and a class for them with the whole all class actions are learned from leveling and job abilties learned through quests and keep it ballanced.

No, both I and my partner (Brisbane) were able to take the poll and have always been able to (though once we could only do it once as it was based on IP for some reason rather then account)

... if you got the 'region is different' error then your lodestone on main page might not be set to your games correct regional flag

As for the survey; he wants a Gunblade job and I want a Gypsy/Dancer so I voted unique + SMN ^_^
He doesn't like Rog x Lala babies because = Gremlins lol!

I hope when we do get new player classes we are able to remake our characters for each time a race is released, like with male miq/fem roeg as promised ^^

Liked that they were asking about stealth DPS type characters, and Dark Knights as well. I hope they include Samurai or Fencer when they mean "new type of fighter" though, I made note of it on the final question.

Red Mage (we need enfeebling magic)

Muskateer (we need a gun class) wtf is an Arithmatician (Scholar?)

Clan Varieties (we do not need sexy bunnies) ;>P (or demons) (or lizards)

Quests, more quests and some more quests (Class Specific Quests esp.)

Crafting sux.

Gathering is boring.

2.0 needs (dare I say I demand!) a better "Beginning-Game" & "Mid-Game". They have added a lot of good "Endgame" material but 2.0 ( or sooner would be nice) desperately needs a stronger Beginning & Middle to be truly successful (and fun).

I forgot to mention they should lower Raise recast in the comment section now that it's essentially exclusive to 2 jobs. -.-;
Maybe just a trait for WHM to lower it would be swell.

I never played the original FF Tactics, but I heard from someone who had that Arithmetic's magic was really useful and cool :)

Calculator (Arithmatician) had 0 unique spells he could actually use any and almost all spells in the game, his only limitation was he could only cast on targets using a mathmatic formula (But by doing so would also target allies and monsters alike regardless of the type of spell it was always a entire map cast)

Great job, but I don't see how it would work out in XIV, then again Scholar had some pretty good skills despite it being more/less a Whm/Blm mix.

The 500 character limit on the last section of the poll is absurd. That is all.

50mbps cable connection
MSI 6950 Twin Frozr III (O.C.)
Intel I7 2600K @ 4.2GHz which is water cooled, mind you.
ASUS Maximus Extreme IV mobo (one of the sickest gaming mobos)
FFXIV Installed onto a pretty quick SSD, dedicated specifically to FFXIV

And to add, my Windows Experience Index aka System Rating is 7.2 and that's without extremely O.C.ing RAM, CPU, and Graphics card.

I can understand if I'm not able to use either of the two options in the config, one of them being the Depth of Field... but seriously? This lag.. is a joke.

I'm aware that the servers are in Japan. But I think it's time to focus on the hardware. Drop some hardware in the middle of the U.S. and in the EU.

And I'm curious, what hardware do they use to host this game on? I would cringe at the idea of the hardware being anything BUT Cisco.

So please SE, get the bugs, and the lag out.. that should be your next project manager's priority.

customizing hair & looks, armor

pet jobs and something different.

2.0's world to feel like a world like in ffxi there were areas that felt like you were far away from anything and there were sights and lillte nook and crannys in each zone.

I would prefer that they wait and do SMN properly.

BTW, I think if there is a new race, it won't be a very big deviation from the human form. Currently, each piece of gear in the game is deformed from the Hyur version. There aren't separate models for the different races (other than some ear and tail parts that are toggled.)

I doubt the dev team is going to bring on Quiqirn, Bangaa, or any race that would require extreme adjustments to armor, masks, helmets, etc. in order to make them fit.

Granted, I think this is unfortunate, because I think Bangaa and Nu Mou would be great races to have in this game -- but I'm realistic as well.

Whatever we get, it likely be quite similar to what we currently have in overall body shape.. (eg. Padjal and Viera would be quite easy to implement)

I have this as well, this totally sucks! I wasn't allowed to enter the love letter contest either due to my region. SE if you have a player poll it would be nice if all the players could actually take it! You tote the game as all players playing together from all regions but if it comes to anything like this you only let certain regions take part!

I think we already have discussion on this, the problem is not on the network/server placement but it is on the code... v2.0 will address this (hopefully)
