Three Heads Are Better Than One

How are you guys managing to kill the Marshal before the Princess? We've tried pulling the Marshal away with a pld tanking it while everyone else focuses on the Princess and adds, but we wipe not long after killing the Marshal due to OOM status. Any hints on optimal pt setup?

Warrior tank...Pld is sssoooooooo shit. Use rampage and spam Steel Cyclone and you will be fine.

I think it was golden chest iirc.

We just got double dark light drops (Hands from 5th chest, and legs from gold)

Will post SS.

Bout time... went about 0/14~15 before seeing a DL drop.

Don't remember. Just got Eyepatch a few minutes ago too :D

Got DL Boots from chest in vale. I read 3 times now Eyepatch coming from gold chest in CC. Can anyone confirm if selected gear drops from certain chests?

I know 2 DL boots came from one of the easier chests in vale.

I'm probably just over analyzing.

You should try x2DRG x3WAR x2WHM x1BRD as BRD/DRG will do much more single target damage to princess. It's worked very well for us so far on speed runs as the fight lasts like 3 minutes max.

Any confirmed body drops from CC?

We're about 28~29 Chimera kills in and still no body drops (4 Dark light - 2x hands, legs, and war/pld/drg hands), we get explorers boots from poop-SR5C-CC.

We've gotten Darklight Eyepatch twice from CC, also Darklight Flanchard

I think a lot of set ups do well. We have done BLM, BRD, WHM, 5x WAR or 2x BLM, BRD, WHM 3x WAR, 1x MNK etc etc.

Main thing is to just kill guard Asap and not letting the adds overwhelm your WHM!

We only use 1 on both Princess and Chimera (typically). So WHM safety is pretty big for us, I think most people use 2 for both bosses.

We just finished a speed run with 41 minutes left on the clock because of the extra DPS on both bosses (Enter Princess Room at 54, Chim room at 46:30). And no, clearing it sub 20 doesn't increase Darklight drop rates!

I guess its not as safe as 2x WHM but we can push through attempts pretty quick and with all these greens even shaving a few minutes off the clock for more attempts in a day helps -.-;;

Solo WHM runs aren't worth the risk. Been there done that.
