5006 error

Got in, (Aether, Zalera) aaand booted 10 min later

I'm also having this issue. I originally logged into my main character on Coeurl without issue. I went to switch to an alt and got the lobby server connection error message 5006. After about 15 minutes, I was able to get on the alt.

Someone else in my FC mentioned they had been getting the error message as well when they were trying to log in.

Now I'm trying to get back on my main again and the error is coming back up.

I can connect to Chaos, Light, Elemental and Gaia data centers without issue. It is only a problem with Aether and Primal.

A quick update post would be appreciated SE~.

On the faerie world and I’m also getting kicked or d/c for error 5006, this may be a coincidence but it’s snowing hard up here in ND. Again not sure if that’s related.

Just got off with technical support about this issue and they said that they are "working on it" but refuse to give any more information. They can't even give a time frame of when this will be fixed and that I need to check the Lodestone.

Got kicked off and can't get back in, now it shows a 2002 error.

The issue definitely looks to be with the NA data center. I can connect to any other DC around the world, but even trying to access Primal or Aether gives either a 5006 or 2002 error.

Bunch of people in my FC just got booted (Aether\Coeurl) including my roommate.

All three of them are busy atm <.<

same happens to me when entering the character selection screen. I'm on Balmung.

All of NA just crashed by the looks of it.

I managed to get in after quite a few tries... and while I was checking in with retainers, I got disconnected

5006 error, NA Goblin server, not our network neither of us can log on but ISP is just fine except logging on to this game.

Error 5006 or 2002 when I try to connect to Aether or Primal DC. :(

Yea just got booted from Expert (Aether/Sarg). No lag or any other issues. Did Trials, Raid, Alliance beforehand with no problem.

Im on the Faerie server and cannot log on . Im getting the 5006 error as well .

Just talked to someone in the support chat. Was told they're experiencing technical issues, but don't have a cause currently, and that I should keep a lookout on the lodestone for updates. But they're working on it, apparently, so hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Switch to a different data center thne back to the original one. Gotta do it each time you reboot the game until they fix it.

That may work, but it's not preventing the timely DC after <.<

Lodestone claims it's a DDOS attack, not sure how much I really believe that but it's rather annoying. Kinda wanted to play after all day at work.

I would like to add that I did try switching data centers (I believe I switched to Elemental and that one loaded in fine) and then tried to switch back and still got the error. Either way, it's looking like those that get in don't -stay- in for long so I'm not sure I want it to work until this is figured out. xD

It does seem sketchy to me that they're not giving out much information but... :shrug:

just got dc'd. tried relogging in. 2002 error. tried from another pc. same thing. Ultros.

I got connected to Malboro server and notice says very poor connection. Was on for about minute before getting the boot. Where ever the datacenter is must be broken. Hoping they get it fixed so can do dailies today. Really makes me wonder if same thing going to happen next week for crossover event. Get now 5006 error on console and pc. EU database works fine.

Heya guys, tech expert here. I can confirm this is what a real dos attack would look like. They are likely attacking the login servers, it took me 10 minutes to even log into the forums.

I figured as much. What typically happens is if you attack the login servers they are unable to authenticate you as you play which eventually leads to you dcing due to this.

Unfortunately, there is not much enix can do but wait it out. Even big companies are weak to dos threats. So sit tight and go check out other forums while you wait. :)

I really don't understand why they would choose to attack a game server? what do they hope to accomplish other than being irritating?

Getting error 2002 now. Hopefully they will be able to fix also of this soon. Half a day wasted on just trying to log in.

Looks like the login servers are up, they must have upgraded their firewall since the last -actual- dos attack. Try logging in folks.

How about they give everyone 100 platinum allagan pieces for compensation.

Its funny that after SE banned all the gil farmers they get pissed and ddos SE.
When is SE going to learn to ban the entire country and just dont allow them to play period. the answer is never they make to much money off banning them
