the current producer letter caused massive positive feedback on major gaming sites,
so it's just lots of new players are starting right now.

*yaaaaawwwwwwn*
I dunno i chose Ragnarok and hope some more will do so. ;D
Also i didnt understood EU recommended as EU only. o.o
I more have the feeling there are like 20 aktive EU people on every Server and they give us a chance to get on the same Server.
I guess some EU players will also move after work, so in 5-6 hours there might be some spot opening. :)
I'm stuck. I mean the process began like 40~ minutes ago right? I'm pretty sure not many people in the US are going to stay up/wake up at 1 AM PST just to get this process done. I find it completely unlikely even in the circumstances of now being JP time, that nearly every server could be filled in under an hour's time.
Something's...off.
Yeah...I read what other's have said above. But still, what better way to discourage the few players left subbing this game by not allowing them to get on their friend's server? I suppose they could *both* transfer--assuming that the remaining servers stay open into standard NA time.
:)
At least all the inactive accounts will stay properly merged right everyone!?
Must feel so important now.
All servers are filled up quick because they counted the unactive as well. I'm sure unactive filled up 70% of the server so people can't complained. You guys picked this option and decided to stay with your friends and community so yea.
This is what a lot of us are saying though. SE original plan would of allowed everyone to move freely. No restrictions at all because the inactive are not in the equations. But people were out right angry about that choice because they're inactive friends couldn't choose server. This is the choice most of the community picked. Without really understanding what it was.
Can you really blame SE? Why should they be blamed for just doing what the community asked for? I'm sorry to those angry I really am. But It's our fault not SE.
It was literally open for 5 minutes. I'm in Hawaii, so I checked right as the mergers opened. Literally full when I clicked the application page. Doesn't make sense to me. Idk, maybe they are sifting through the applications etc. But something certainly seems wrong here.
I also agree that people over reacted about the "forced merger" that so many people were mad about. I was about 95% sure something like this was going to happen. Oh well, Balmung it is.
I think we are expected to choose the "Default Merged World" option. I believe they are pre-counting the current server populations into the New Worlds. In other words, if everyone from the previous worlds merges to the new world, it is listed as full.
The full status is then just there to discourage people from a non designated world to choose that new non designated world.
Does that make sense? I'm not sure. Hopefully we get some clarification on Thursday-Friday.
Oh boy....
This is about to get epic.
Brb, Microwaving some popcorn, like 10 bags of it.
This may not help, but aren't the also balancing out timezones? So maybe more slots will open up in a few hours time as a way of distributiong slots over different timezones? Can always hope
AHHHHH I'M STUCK WITH THE PEOPLE THAT TUCK IN THEIR beep
You do understand that there needs to be space for all the characters on all the servers combined together right? This has nothing to do with what "option" "we" picked. If you go from a starting state where each new server is 2-3 old servers combined with some free space. No matter how people move after that, it shouldn't tbe possible for all servers to be full (because that would mean tons of new characters were suddenly added out of nowhere)
2 servers!

Another one bites the dust
Default ftw
Lol. This is very, very weird.
Mathematically speaking, there is no way all of those servers hit a 2k limit (if that is indeed what SE wanted).
Maybe SE is just bogged down with the opening night madness. Given a few days, things should technically work out; but, stranger things have happened.
[QUOTE* It is possible that some Worlds will reach the population limit very soon after World transfer applications begin.][/QUOTE]
I guess they weren't kidding (from the official Loadstone Page)
p.s. I blame the Chinese (RMT)
i think the merge put 2k active people on the server (all time zone) Cornelia avg about 500 people at any given time, so you have to think maybe about 800-1000 people are active in that server.
It's an evil plot to get people to Ragnarok >:3
I got my server :P
Well based on the numbers that were floating around on previous forum threads, no server was even close to 2k. Hypothetically speaking, if people move, that opens up room on the server they move from. If ppl join that new server that has free space, the server they left, frees up and so on and so forth.
The problem is. SE is expecting(expected?) a lot of the EU's to go to Ragnarok. Which right now isn't happening. so Ragnarok has maybe 100-200 people on it right now. every other server is full.
They may open it up again for "short periods" during Peak Times for each Zone, so Peak Time NA, Peak Time EU. I find it hard to believe the servers are capped already when its only really JP time, and prolly not JP Peak.
They did say they want to balance it out as much as pos for timezones, this doesnt seem like so if they only benefitting JP/those awake/atwork XD
Unactive players can come back at anytime though. If we picked option 4 then active players can choose whatever they want and make unactive randomized into server for balance. All of unactive players are in default right now meaning they are within the server limitation.
Gungnir open again
edit: okay, at least for some seconds...
Only way to fix the problem now.
A: SE raise the cap some more (say 100?) to allow people to move some.
or
B:People are going to have to take a chance move to ridill/Ragnarok and hope people do the same til everyone is where they want to be(very unlikely and risky.)
camping servers is the new NM camping.
