Awesomeee!!! YAY bust modifier finally!!! I've been wanting to make them like mines ^^ It always saddens me to see my Miqote with flat chest..looks like she has 2 backs lol. 2.0 is sounding promising! Thank you Yoshida for the infos :D :D

What if I told you that information came from

1) My Japanese teacher, who is from Japan btw.

2) My Japanese friend, who sadly had to go back to Japan

3) Conversations with the Japanese foreign exchange students

Of course they were probably generalizing, like we generalize about our own culture, but that doesn't make it BS. Obviously it can't apply to everyone in a culture, but you can apply things like that to a culture generally. Just look at a culture's media to get a feel for things.

Blonde hair/blue eyes is rare in Japan and is considered really attractive. Ask any woman who's gone there, Japanese women find it beautiful. Skin color is the same deal. My Japanese teacher said that in general, fairer skin is considered more attractive. Of course this is in Japan, we're not talking about Japanese Americans.

All in all its not BS~ its straight from the source itself. I spend a lot of time learning about Japanese culture from my friends who come from there, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't call BS on everything that didn't agree with you.


EDIT: Look at anime/manga/models/tv and tell me that you don't see

1) fair skin

2) bigger boobs than average

Media reflects the social/cultural ideas of any given society.

Oh yeah of course!! But thats cuz Western cultures, especially the U.S.A. have a "bigger is better" attitude. Thats why we have American Muscle cars, Giant skyscrapers, an average cup size of D (thanks to plastic surgery), the atomic bomb, big guns, etc etc. Western culture loves big things.

Different cultures like big boobs, but for vastly different reasons lol.

Just like we love big phone bills and a bigger number of work hours and bigger pest infestations! :P

I forget the anime's name, but its a anime that is short, and recently put out.. That the entire point is "Big boobs mean power/money!"... Yeah. I can believe what lux is saying 100%.

Yea its well known that Japanese have a fascination with blond, blue eyes and big boobs, as Lux said just look at anime, most of Japanese animation is based on Western stereotypes.

Many western men find oriental woman appealing for the same reason because they are exotic looking etc.

Anyone find it funny that after the Yoshi-P post, like 3/4 of the responses were talking about bust size? People complain as much as they like, but it races to the front of their trains of thought doesn't it?

Speaking of, the comments about big breasts and blonde hair being an obsession in Japan is true. I studied abroad there and am moving back in a few weeks, and when I went I was with some big breasts, blonde classmates. You wouldn't believe the amount of stares they got and the people who hit on them. Rather than complain about big or small breasts though, why not welcome the ability to choose? I'm sure some female players like the added customization ability as well.

If they're going to make the boobs bigger, they might as well add a slight amount of jiggle physics too. It shouldn't be DoA, but it's a bit weird to have the hair and clothing move so fluidly while chests stand completely rigid.

I also think being able to customize the miqo'te tails is a nice touch. I wonder what they'll add for other races to fill that same niche.

Exploring the map to uncover new location's n stuff? i love it!

Well, I'm officially hyped.

Why not adjust Miqo'te ear size? Maybe they're doing that instead of making another animal-based race (bunny-ears?) I really don't see it as being hair length. I do agree tail length is a possibility.
Now the races do have their own starter undergarments, but maybe the new starter gear will be multi-purpose similar to FFXI?
Bust size isn't too important to me. For Elezen, it did change slightly based on Elezen race and body type, you just couldn't manually adjust it.
I think its a good idea that I need to visit an area to view a map. Its makes exploring more fun in my opinion.
Delivery NPCs... At this point in the lore, it seems odd to have moogles delivering items where they sing in the forest of Gridania, or summon their tyrant king to fight us. However, the 2.0 storyline will be different and that will probably fit the lore there just fine.
All in all, I'm looking forward to the changes.

If Boobs size adjustment then uh, how do I put this, subligar size too please. And I think the ear height adjustment thing for Miqo'te is just like Elezen, they give you different size ears to choose from.

I would like to see whiskers as an option for Miqos male and female, cat whiskers and more facial, body fur striping and leopard spots but made of fur kind of like beards are in different slender trims as an option now. We have leopard armor!

I am so happy that the maps will be blurred out and that we actually need to explore to complete it. Let's go back to a day where everything wasn't handed on a silver plate. I also love that they opted for this instead of trying to find maps like in ffxi.

Besides that, I'm always surprised how everyone seem to either swing an alarm bell or drool over their keyboards when the sentence "customizable bust size" appears. Really now? The bust size is a person's choice. If they want them small, let them have it small. If they prefer big ones let them pick big ones. I tend to prefer them big but I'm not going to start complaining that they should remove flat/small ones out of the customization because I don't prefer those.

Instead let's us all rejoice to the fact that the option is there for anyone to choose. Might also make some people change their character's face because it was linked to the bust size.

who the hell needs content and stuff to do when you have Huge Oversized Knockers!!!, but man am i sure glad the dev team has got there prioritizes straitened out...to be honest with ya for a minute there i almost thought they actually released something exciting and worthwhile.

SE hope you have more to show than tits,boobs,knockers,melons, jugs and bags @ E3 because over here in America if i wanted to see big boobs all id have to do is walk out side and point at someone and more like than not they'll have Tits the size of basketballs.

I think it's nice that they give the option, really, for bust size. Girls with larger or smaller breasts than the in-game options will now feel they are not being told they are "too big" or "too small" by the game. If it's realistic in real life, there shouldn't be any real reason why it should be frowned upon within the game. So long as the options are realistic, I'm sure it'll all be good.

I adore the idea of map exploration! One thing, though: I hope it doesn't end up being one of those things where it's really tricky to figure out what 0.1% of the map is holding out on you to stop you from getting an achievement. That could be so annoying. x_x Fingers crossed, it'll be a rather obvious system, though. :D I also hope it doesn't become too easy, and that travelling to an aetheryte will unlock a massive area. Make it like a Civ/RTS game and it should all be golden. :)

I like that each race starts with it's own gear. I'm itching to try out this benchmark program!
