I want Jeuno, Sky and Sea.
since this is a theme park game why not.
each expansion could be its own world.
Read the post carefully. He said content based IN worlds from previous FF titles.
From a technical perspective there would be a conflict if there was a world server named Besaid, and a Besaid server hosting the zones from Besaid island from FF X. That's one reason I can think that content based in other FF worlds would make them reserve these names for that purpose.

^^^ This seems to be almost a certainty.

^^^This would just make me giddy, but not a certainty.

^^^I think this is likely.
It would be so awesome and not "cheap" or lore-unfriendly if they added an endgame dungeon based on Memoria from FF9. Memoria is already in a different dimension than the actual worlds of FF9, and it could easily contain homages, inspirations, and allusions to any other FF games because of the "memory/reality" aspect.

I would like to see things like this added in the form of instanced raids. Along with a nifty cut-scene & story segment.
It seems to just fit the instance model. As for the FF14 open world, i think it should be it's own.
Yoshi first indicated he wanted to do this sort of thing over 2 months ago.

I really want to make the most out of the franchise's history. Not many other games have this incredible history, so I'd like to put as much of that as possible in this game. Not only by using ideas, objects and locations from older FINAL FANTASY games, but also by adding new things to the universe. I have a lot of plans, so please look forward to finding out what I have in mind.
Fantastic Idea!
What if they made it as an OOT difficult side-dungeon that received additions as the cap is raised. They could bring back bosses from FFI-FFXIII (perhaps not final bosses, but sub-bosses/fiends/summons or even ultra-bosses like Ozma)
For difficulty, it would be something along the lines of AV. Each area would not be realistically completable at the time of it's release until the cap raises again. - That isn't to say that it can't be done, but it would require insane skill and decent luck.
For rewards, iconic (mostly decorative) gear from other FF games?
It would be a real fun side-challenge.
Sky, Byakko 2.0 now eats BLMs twice as fast
Sea, With all "gods" and of course AV on drugs!
Promyvions, No other zone in any other Final Fantasy game had such a great atmosphere than promyvions.
Grand Pulse from FFXIII, own Long Gui HNM :D
Dragon Quest 9 did this, the final bosses from the entire series were extra bosses that you could level up and dropped gear that was modeled after the gear the Hero wore in their game (so DQ3 last boss dropped gear that the DQ3 Hero wore, etc). It was pretty awesome and I'd also like to see raids and such in this manner.
Yeah I mentioned this earlier, I kinda like the idea if they made it like the primal battles or something and maybe base the arenas off the classic areas. DQ9 did the two most important bosses from each game, say FFX would probably be seymour and jecht's final aeon. (Although it would be entertaining to see Sin in the open world, would make the great buffalo seem tiny and how would anybody beat it?)Quote:

I would welcome storylines that focus around revisiting such worlds. Considering SE owns all of the titles, this wouldn't be too much of a problem. For the person that suggested Vana'diel, I could see them having a questline (perhaps a mini-expansion) that centers around 'visiting' there and fulfilling certain objectives. After all, the races are so similar that it would make sense.
Besides that, I don't know how deep they should go into other stories' lore. Every game is so intricate that trying to bend their world to fit FFXIV might cheapen the entire thing. Having characters or towns named after previous characters/towns as a nod to those of the past would be a good direction, but not something overly similar. (Sort of like how Cid is in every game, and has a similar temperament and attitude, but is never the 'same' person.)
