Focus Target Detrimental Effects
Can we get a setting option that would work like the "Display only detrimental effects you inflict" option but for the Focus Target instead?
Instance timing difference
As a raider I've come to realize that there is a significant difference in how fast or slow things happen during a raid. What I mean by this, is over the course of a fight a boss such as Living Liquid would slowly start to do things faster than a different instance and by the end of the fight he might be stuck in a mechanic that allows for extra time for a team to complete the fight. This allows an unfair advantage that teams have no control over. If X team gets 20 more seconds before the enrage goes off that's a huge advantage during prog compared to the team that has less time to do it just because they got a "fast instance". Has this been addressed at all by the dev team and if so, is there any plans to fix it?
Use of character transfer to dump items into other server's markets
Will the misuse of the character transfer system to regularly dump large quantities of items onto other servers for profit be addressed?
RMT and regular players find servers where high-end crafts and other valuable items (e.g., Gyr Abanian Alchemics, raid food/potions, minions, mounts, orchestrion scrolls, etc) are cheap relative to others, load characters full of those items, transfer to another server where they sell significantly higher, and dump them, en masse, onto the marketboard.
This can significantly reduce the incentive for engaging in the activities that rewards these items, even to the point where it is no longer worthwhile to do them at all. For example, I've seen HQ endgame crafted items dumped into our server's markets at prices below the cost of materials. Then when looking at the signatures, find the names are of characters on other EN or JP servers.
DRK buffs overall and potential re-design
After leveling and maxing out WAR, PLD and DRK and playing all jobs in endgame content I can safely say that DRK is still way behind both WAR and PLD overall.
DRK deals less damage and has less utility compared to WAR and PLD. Aside from that one of it's mitigation cooldowns (i.e. Dark Mind) is restricted to magic damage only. Considering that a majority of the damage a tank receives during the entirety of the game is physical damage, DRK just doesn't feel like a tank compared to WAR and PLD.
Only in end game content Dark Mind starts to be more useful but I feel like a lot of players have already lost interest in playing DRK before even getting to that part of the game.
DRK just doesn't seem to have an identity anymore in the game as of now. Will you look into this job and give it the buff it deserves?
Endless Progression Content
First of all I'd like to thank the entire team behind FFXIV for giving us this awesome MMO.
I've been playing since 1.0 and have seen the fall and rise of this game and even though I may not agree with all of the design decisions that have been made over the past few years I still think that this is currently the best MMO out there.
With that said, something I'd really love seeing in FFXIV is some sort of endless progression type content. It could be within Eureka or PotD type content, i.e. content that is excluded from your standard character progression.
I do commend the team for coming up with new type of content and trying to offer a diverse experience, yet it feels like some of the content becomes inactive after 1-2 months.
I think content with endless progression could offer a longterm incentive for players to do said content and I'd definitely love seeing something like that in this game.
