Yup UNICORNS! "a single-horned beast leading a flock of chocobos"
Just returned after a 2 month break, can't for the life of me imagine what brain condition inspired me to pay for this months subs-game is utterly tedious.
Swift return to C.O.D. for me-cheerio
I wonder if he's talking about the small island nation of Thavnair and its capital city of Radz-at-Han, ruled by a number of noble houses, which is to the east across the Sea of Jade. If not, that's one more region we can add to our ever-growing list of undiscovered places.
Just to put my two cents into this thread, since it's talking about in-depth content:
I find the gobbue moutn to be superfluous fluff, and i'm totally fine with it.

Now to talk about some ideas that could please several of you players that are hurting for more "in-depth" content, please read my post:

I feel that most of you here will find that kind of content system more to your liking, as it pleases not only the lore fans, but also the hardcore players that love to maximize.
Anyway, just my two cents. ;)
i was thinking this same thing. More content of any kind cannot be a bad thing....unless it is bad content i guess...
It sucks that paragon's crown is so common. Makes me sad for the leveling process's future.
Not the rep's fault but that is the lamest excuse so far. We don't give you content because then everybody would want content no matter what their class is!

The last story in the Grand Company page about chocobo barding reminded me of an old story, maybe romance of the three kingdoms time, I can't remember exactly. If only they could really find to make that lore in game, not where you read it, but lets say npc says "READ ON ABOUT IT IN THE HARBOR HERALD" and we know lodestone update to grand company page happened. Later on with more updates, it might happen or something similar, this whole game needs to be more in depth but it takes time. (and small patches of nothingness lead to bigger patches over timer!)
Why do all threads are about the Goobbue mount?
I agree with OP that it wouldn't have taken much time to add at least a LITTLE BIT of content with the "gift" SE gave us... or if it really was just a gift, they could have just made a new button on our menu to call Goobbue... why did we have to talk to NPC to get it?
ANYWAYS, to actually talk about the topic: Thread: “Simply speak...” – Request for more in-depth contents
It is actually very sad how little content there is.
I read a post I made about 3 months ago when I returned to FFXIV saying how there was loads to do to keep me entertained all the time. Now... 3 months later I have done pretty much everything - well besides faction leves and 2 of the stronghold bosses.
I swore to be mage only but I have even started to level DD jobs because quite simply there is nothing else to do.
Patch 1.21 better be one amazing patch or lots of people (again) will stop paying for the game.
le bump.
Taking a moment to reflect on what was said by the minstrel and others feedback, about the chocobos being led from a burning forest - anyone could assume meaning The Shroud in flames..I want to say this..
Let it Burn!!
Moreso than that.. there should be an event, something, where the shroud catches ablaze and try as they might, the elementals cannot push it back. It spreads, gradually over the course of the next few months until the conclusion of all this seventh umbral age stuff. Slowly the flames get bigger, consuming more and more of the Shroud. And not to say that by doing so the areas that are up in flame will be useless, let the flames remain on the walls of the different corridors, or the canopy of tree's being swathed in flames. With everything leading back towards Gridania itself.
Basically, point is, I want to start seeing some actual live changes taking place to the scenary of the game itself.
One thing I loved about FFXII was the weather changes, how entire areas could become totally new maps if it rained or if it was dry, different mobs would appear, etc and I'd really like to see something like that happen here.
