They didn't take those away from you they made changes to how the cross class skills were acquired and coming from an old timer I think what they did was a good thing for the game. They removed flash and gave you other aggro management skills. What was so special about flash? They removed my Aero III, Stoneskin and Protect now am I supposed to use that as a justification for removing a house from someone? Relative to PVP I can't comment directly about that I don't play it all that much. Whether the changes were good or bad I suspect is a matter of perspective. I don't think so.
There is a difference when it comes to making changes in the game just as they did with housing purchases by restricting one personal house per account per server. Just like they didn't remove any rewards or achievements earned in other venues they aren't about to remove housing from people who earned it within the rules.
I suppose you also have a problem with duties that can be unsynced thus making the acquiring of rewards easier or putting mounts and rewards in moogle tomes events?
I want to know where they REMOVED REWARDS OR CONTENT EARNED by people after making changes to the game. Can you cite any of those?

How about they let alts share housing with their main? Perhaps with that addition many with grandfathered homes might do just that. Many probably wouldn't have gotten another house if their alt was able to share one to begin with. As it stands right now alts can't even teleport to a mains house or even use the mender when they get there. Is that fair? I wish they would allow this for a few reasons. Allowing alts to access their main character's house can help help curb the instances where somebody may feel like they need to create an alt and get an FC house for them. If it is a business concern and they are afraid people will pass items to their alts I think you may realize more damage gets done by allowing some one to own multiple fcs on one account because they will store things in fc chests as well as keep some one else from getting a home or fc building for themselves or fc use.
I can only think this has something to do with ensuring someone purchases additional retainers to store deco on them instead of allowing an alt to share a house and possibly storing deco on them. I sincerely doubt it is a coding issue or a server back end problem and it is some business executive trying to squeeze every cent they can out of additional services. For some people like me I have a TON of deco and it clogs inventory and retainer space. I have a retainer with almost nothing but house and yard deco on them and random deco on the others. So I'm assuming here that is what is really behind the decision to not allow alts to share them. -

Removing the grandfathered plots is seen as an easy to achieve, though it's not an actual solution. It's not impossible for SE to do the same thing if they chose. Players have been trained to think it's impossible so they don't ask.
Back on topic - SE told us 2 years ago that they want to set the system up so alts are automatically made tenants of houses owned by characters on the same account and world. They also said there are technological hurdles in the way of making it happen. What are those hurdles? They didn't specify.
What has been their progress since then? They've been silent, a bad sign.
I would assume the hurdles are not being able to friend our alts (which is really stupid) and a character must be on your friends list to be made a tenant. It could also be the tenant limit. We're allowed 3 tenants. I have 3 friends with characters that are already tenants in my house and 4 alts in addition to my main. What happens if SE tries to add my alts? Do my friends get removed? Does the system randomly pick 3 of my alts to be the tenants and the 4 gets left out?
And of course this leaves me thinking once again about RIFT Dimensions where I could friend my alts and set permissions to my housing based on a variety of factors. Access to enter, access to change things, access to all players, access only to friends, access only to a list of specific players I added...
I enjoy housing with my MMOs because it helps with creating a living world and adds to immersion but the system here is frustrating because so much potential is lost due to the restrictive systems in place. -

There have been two different times where it was possible for someone to friend their own alts and both times SE patched it very quickly (hours the first time back in 2013/2014 and a few days back in about 2017). As far as I know they didn't remove the alt friends of anyone who did this, so it suggests it's not a technical issue.Quote:
