I'm also on cactuar and encountered the same problem. This is absolutely unacceptable and I too will be pulling my subscription. I've had it with the slew of poor developmental and business mistakes SE has made since the early HW days. This was just the final straw.

Having more housing wards is to their benefit too; I would be happy to spend plenty of money on optional house items if I have a house.

Until then, unsubbing because buying a house with minimum wage is easier in real life than getting a digital house in this game.

They should do something or add more wards beacuse waiting on low population server for 3 years just to get 1 private/fc house and still not being able to get one, with all plots being bought in first 10 min, is beyond stupid.

Shouldn't this have a poll? I'm for this though, personally I've always thought fc and player houses should be separate. How cool would it be if fc's could buy wards, and players could by houses in these instanced wards? It'd make free companies feel a little more important. /signed

i will gladly support this cause many here were dealt a critical blow today due to technical issues that were out of our control, it time for the devs to listen to the voice of reason to hear our call and wake up to the reality that their system is flawed and should be re-worked so that its fair for all players :D

This is stupid why in the world did they think 12 wards was going to be enough especially with how populated some servers are. I'm also on cactaur and I had that boot version mismatch nonsense so I couldn't even get in for like 20 minutes

A month from now, I want to see how many plots were relocated (I'm guessing a small fraction, perhaps 5%?), and how many have been resold.

Unless and until SE cracks down on house flippers, the current system will continue to serve only those with obscene amounts of gil and a fast connection.
The highlight of the patch has made thousands of people angry and resentful. Time for the devs to own up to their mistake, and fix it. We've got enough threads on how to do that already.

I sign. I'm playing for months now, got an house with my in game and irl husband would be like perfect for us to increase our game life, like every people. We don't care at all if don't have neighbours, or these things, since we can invite people to our house or people can join.

SE needs to follow GuildWars2 motto on housing. At least Guild Housing.

GW2 has a dedicated zone for guild housing. Instanced a single zone that is used multiple times for guild housing and guild housing alone.

With how much money people spend in this game SE needs to deploy a Instanced Housing. Even if its just for FCs and they open up more plots or make instanced Player housing. I dont know how many people I know in game right now that killed off their sub because of this mess.

No she's right, more wards won't solve the problem. They need to convert to instanced housing. Neighbourhoods are well and good, but trust me the most you'll ever see of your neighbour's activity is their lawn redorating maybe once a month.

More wards are wasted resources and the current system is worse than 10-year mmos.
The only option to save the housing system is go instanced, honestly, its dumb to keep using the "neighborhood" excuse.
Look at wildstar housing, thats the most fun housing in games ive ever had, dont copy but get inspired by that.

We just got a mansion and I'm signing this still.

All the new housing was taken within 10 minutes on my server, and all the transferred plots were bought up within an additional 10 minutes. I literally had no chance to get a house at all. It's absolutely idiotic that some of the older MMO's have instanced housing and FFXIV can't seem to 'find a solution' to the housing problem aside from adding a few more wards. It only causes the frenzy to get worse!

Please, for the love of pancakes, fix this issue.

Was in the crowded server. 2034 in queue (only 1440 plots available I already knew I wouldn't make it) and the launcher even crashed x 3 during the update download. I am trying to buy a house since they added sudbivisions. Tired to see that situation for anyone! Even those who made it had to challenge and probably got not the house they were aiming. Expand wards and limit personal house to 1 x account.

I'm in for instance housing. I mean, MMO like SWTOR or even Blade And Soul which are F2P have an housing system where ALL players can manage to have one and I was happy to be able to have something like that. This system is just about how fast you can preload patch and then if your SSD is better than everyone else SSD / HDD. Ful of RNG and unfair.

I'm still signing despite the fact I got a house. I can't accept a release coming from such a big company as SE to be this crappy.
Lobby system crashing because it can't handle thousands of connections ? Come on guys, you knew thousands of people would try rushing inside Shirogane to buy a house.

Add another name on the list. More wards, instanced housing, I don't care. I hit the log in button as soon as the servers came up, got hit with a lobby error, then hit with a launcher not logging in. Ended up in a 2919 and everything gone by the time I went in. I heard that even the smaller servers sold out in under half an hour. Even the active players on low-pop servers outnumber the available housing. :/

This game has far too many unique active subscriptions to have anything other than an instanced housing model.

Honestly as much as we on NA/EU have debated, discussed, or whatever about the housing issue (no matter the opinion). It feels like SE isn't listeningnor they simply avoid the english forums all together. Maybe send in a little note on the support page under others option for suggestions. If they're bombed enough..maybe they'll understand the mangitude of demand?

Unless SE can guarantee me something larger than a small house in any way or form, I would rather request apartments be deleted and any and all housing promotions on patches to stop because in its current state it does not warrant being a feature of the game since like 98% of the player base can’t enjoy it.

I agree. Needs to be better handled. I had a house early on when personals came along because I was ready and hopeful for its release. Saved up enough with me and 1 friend to try to get our small house to a large. Not even a chance in shirogane much less older locations. After all not like many had to give up their space.

Either it needs to get a steady stream of housing wards built up between patches for the subs you guys have that stick around after this, or something needs to be revamped like seperation between personal and FC at the least without needing to add more wards but still “double” the housing.

Sorry for any errors in my writing I was up all night to try for this to only get shut down in under 25 mins in diabolos and having some people act horribly such as the very first 1 laughing at me because I check for the house. Damn me for trying people. Feel the salt SE, feel the salt.
