on the mogstation thing, its possible they "can't" put em up for sale since its not their property. This could lead to them feeling giving ppl a second chance to get em (or a third or tenth in the future) is ok. The other x-overs are usually with their own IPs.

well as I pointed out earlier, the DQ event was repeated, FF13's was repeated (then like a year latter went on the store) now it's yokai getting a repeat, it's just the devs doing their usual thing.

I like that it returned, I was short on time to get the glowing mount. So now I have a 2nd chance to get it after all ;)

Can't even level my chocobo during the weapon part. These minions better heal me

I recall throwing away 70 of the rare medals needed for the glowing mount.... *faints*.... i WOULD HAVE KEPT THE MEDALS IF I HAD ENOUGH STORAGE SPACE

this event made me unsubscribe the game because the grind was ridiculous.

Is there a daily limit to the number of regular medals you can get?

First dozen or so FATEs I did I got a medal. Now I've done a dozen since and haven't gotten a single medal. Or is it just RNG and I was super lucky at the start and now RNGsus is punishing me?

I am quite sure that this was more about the word compelling..since you know its one of the most hated event that existed in FF14 and is far away from being a fun event. Also why the need to be so mean? Cant we not all talk in an adult way anymore and need to use insults?

I am fine that its coming back but I am at the same time a bit annoyed that first they said it was a exlusive one time deal and that medals can be thrown away (thus false information) but that this event comes back, yet all the other ingame events are staying exclusive while the items are landing in the mog station..

But good to know that things like that are getting done if you are a important person and good friends with Yoshida..and a bit funny that he was the same person that wanted that even to be so grindy so that not everyone can get everything in time..well seems that this does not count for him thus he needs it a second time.

Really its fine that it comes back but I am sad that they play such a favoritism.

Anyway I got everything from the last one, where I did grind it like hell to get everything in time because it was said to be a one time only deal..but at least I can pass on it, this time. Good luck for everyone that wants everything. May the RNG be with you.


[We should hope that we get more such collaboration events because they cant sell those items on the mog station..thus a higher chance to seem them a second time or even more often]

No cap. Just make sure you've got the Watch equipped and the appropriate minion summoned.

I died a few time and forgot to re summon the damn minion. Or called the wrong one as my brain was fried and I forget i switched zones and needed the next. The last 3 weapons hurt.

I can't decide if u love my alt enough to put myself through that again or not.

Im pretty sad they didnt updated the event with samurai weapons..
This event last year was the reason because i started the anime and bought all handheld games of yokai watch..

There are still other yokais with katanas who would perfect match to rdm and sam..

Anyway what i always wanted to know is: is there ANY way to get the "full" theme songs when you exchange a yokai and see a 6 second cutscene? The samurai-like song by summoning shohunyan and hovernyan is SOO DAM AWESOME! Im so sad its so short and limited.. Can i somewhere replay it 100 times besides youtube ? Does this song have a name? A source? :(

It just feels redundant to complain about content/events when it doesn't affect x individual. I did the event already, all this does for myself is give me a chance to farm the content on alts instead of on my main. Where were these complaints when the first anniversary brought all those events back for those people who didn't do it the first time? It's just rude in and of itself.

Yeah telling him to shut up probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, but is his post adding anything at all to the discussion? It's just complaining for complaining's sake.

Well on the bright side they didn't add RDM or SAM so those folks going for the glowing mount don't have even more of an uphill battle. On the other hand they didn't add an RDM or SAM weapon so I can safely ignore this event this time.

I'm so glad i didn't toss all those left over things. LOL now i can get back from wence i started

Actually, it may have to do with licensing agreements and not abrupt favoritism. Unlike every other event, SE doesn't own the exclusive rates of Yokai, thus they cannot sell copyrighted material. That's likely why the event returned since it's promoting Yokai again whereas just stuffing everything on the Mogstation doesn't benefit anyone except Square Enix.

The first Yo-kai Watch event was the thing that convinced me that I do not need 100% of gear, minions and mounts.

ngl I cringed when I heard this event was back and then breathed a sigh of relief when I heard it was just the same event from 2016.

I don't care that they brought it back to give others a chance. Especially for those who ran out of time to finish it before. I'm just glad I am done and never have to look at a yokai again. I still dislike fates because of it.

I didn't get the hate for this event then and I don't get it now especially for who have already got everything from it.
Personally I don't really like the garo event because I'm not fond of pvp, but I'm honestly not complaining about them adding it. besides it runs for a couple of months meaning that getting all the weapons IF you really fancy that mount or you are a completionist is not something very hard to do if you manage your time correctly.

Aaaugh! I wanted a Katana Yoshi-P, you had one job! REEEEEEEE.

This is a fantastic opportunity to level my DPS classes though

No, no it does not. Not unless you're insanely lucky to limit to 10 a day and getting all the stuff before the event ends. I have no obligations out of home on a daily basis so I grinded here and there to suffer the event in a shorter time span. Took a lot of fates a day to get both sets done since I'm on RNG's permanent shit list.

Looks same as the last Yo-Kai event don't see no new items for this event just same items from last event. all ready have all items from last event.

You only need the watch equipped for the medals used to purchased minions. For the weapon medals having the minion out alone is enough luckily.

I do not mind the return but couldn't it have something for those that have it already something to do? Why wasn't RDM and sam weapons added?

Also you can get them while on a mount, last time some people tried to start S*** by saying you had no chance in getting it because when mounted you do not see the minion.

Honestly the reason the brought it back was padding "content", using this loosely as it's recycled until 4.1 comes out next month whenever.

Kind of a cruddy way to keep people subbed for a recycled event so...yay?

It took me 732 Fates in order to complete the event 100% and that was below average since I had people posting the in the Megathread that they were taking around 800-900 fates to complete it. There's no way to comfortably get that second whisper mount without becoming a slave to Fate grinding during this event.

How long would it take if you start from zero and want to get all the minions and weapons?

this is my first time doing this event and im happy because i want the mount and those weapons but...
looking at the amount of token increase for each weapon exchange make me lose my motivation...
i dont mind the grind but this is too much! esp. when the drop rate for legendary medal is not 100% @_@

They have seriously upped the drop rate. I'm picking up the weapons I didn't get before and I'm at 15 medals a weapon. I got 2 1/2 weapons in 5 hours of fate running in Middle La Noscea, including downtime and time to zone out and pick up each one.

Seriously upped the drop rate? Either y ou're lucky or I am unlucky. I'm at 22 minion tokens and 3 legendary tokens. So 7 FATEs for each legendary token, at this rate I'm gonna need to do 1533 FATEs to get all the weapons...

Depends how hard you go at it, its around 700 fates, so if you say that each fate is 3 minutes long that would be 35 hours worth of time divided as you choose. I personally took about an hour a day and used it to finish getting all of my jobs to 50.

I dont think they have upped the drop rate, however none of you are accurate sources, the drop rate isnt as bad as you are making it out statistically, you are just an anecdotal example of RNG, whether you are on the lucky or unlucky end we don't know, but in the original event the drop rate worked out at about 1/3 overall (or around 700 fates).

well, the drop rate used to be 25-30% and I wouldn't be too surprised if they increased it. Granted, there's a very good chance that you're just insanely lucky right now since changing the drop rate to any significant degree would have netted SE even more backlash for the people who did the event to completion when it was last up.

I did it quite slow, I took about 3 weeks to finish it up when I did it last year. I would say just focus on a region and get three weapons done until you start hitting 10+ medals required, switch to two weapons.

I sadly know that they probably do this because they cant just sell these items on the mog station but part of it still must be because the CEO wanted it to come back too. Anyway its kinda sad that our own ingame events (incl. the items) are not repeatable and those others are.
