The game seems pretty solo friendly to me. I was able to solo 1-50 in less than a month with nothing but leve quests. We are talking about 1-2 hours of gameplay every other day here...

I'm gonna take a guess and say english isn't his first language, rather than this being a troll thread.

I think what I gathered is he's frustrated because he couldn't solo his way up to obtaining a chocobo. And there's lag, or some kind of issue with slow weapons.

Legit concerns, poorly conveyed due to language barrier.

I think I lost a few brain cells after reading that post. . .

Why--if this isn't his native language--did he not ever post in his native language? Or a language that is more similar to his own? This is a troll thread, and a damn good one.

...in arctic storm - high waves, wet snow, howling wind, darkness, cold. Small island found and could make fire, maybe even sleep in the cold: solo Christmas:) Not much battery left in Ipad. I regret my words in the thread. Game devs arranged Christmas to everybody and I'm complaining. So sorry. I hope you can make the Fantasy of All Times !

This guys seems pretty chill to me, actually upon reading the thread I know I had better not see any of you dicks posting calling someone a troll.
Sure, his grasp of the English language isn't top notch but that's his only mistake. You folks here (with few exceptions) didn't even try to understand the guy.

If you put even the slightest bit of thought into trying to translate this it isn't really that difficult to see what's going on. Sure, he had some improper expectations of an MMO but that's not really his fault, you don't really know the rules of a game until either someone explains them or you try it out. He jumped in there and it wasn't what he wanted so he made a thread with the intention of getting someone at Square to understand his frustrations.
Now, some of you are saying to yourselves (and even here on the forums) that no one should want to solo in a MMO but that is a load of bull. There's plenty of reasons to want to solo in an MMO, of course the objective won't be to solo at all times but you should be able to do various things solo at any given time.

Now, I'm sure someone will look at one part of my post and take things to the extreme but moderation is key. I'm not saying everything should be solo content but there should be some. Simple things like getting a mount should not require you to gather your buds. That is just silly. MMO does not mean "must have someone tethered to you at all times".

nor should be a solo game, like OP would expect. There's a subtle difference from "solo the game to cap" to "i can do everything, even endgame, solo".
And honestly, since when getting chocobo was difficult ?

Since it was impossible to get the required seals solo at Lv25... which, is since ever?
(Unless you were around for that GC event that gave a free 1k seals)

Doing all the quests up to becoming a private third class gives you 2350 seals, then there are two quests doable at 25 that give 300 seals each. This bumps it up to 2950 seals. You can do supply and provision quests for the last 50 seals by just buying the stuff you need to turn in. The chocobo is more than worth it.

You can well call me troll, because when I open my mouth - I often get both enemies and lovers. But it's not an honour in this case. I would change the title to "This is my game" if I could. Or get the whole thread removed. I love this game. So much that I have brought many friends here. And leaving it feels like a divorce. My style was to keep 2 characters, another for playing with some friends when they have time, and another very solo and quite gathering/crafting oriented. I liked both styles and this game very much. I had also a style to give irritating names to my characters, like this last Thaum Chocowhisperer. So always in some phase one or more people drove me out of their Eorzea. I was polite and started from beginning. During these 14 months I was forced to start 6 times from beginning and I never could go over level 30.
This very last time I felt that game devs punished me because of my solo style. It made me really angry and I removed my both chars - again.

Simply I was very tired after many hours trying to finally get the choco. I realized that it would need 1-2 weeks more stupid grinding to achieve level 29 or 30 to get the seals from level 30 leve. If you Masamune1004 do it as 25, I admire you. I couldn't.

So I broke the rule read-think-write, I was thinking in my own language and not thinking what I wrote. Still I had a message and I undersign it even now: Don't hate solo players. If you do, you miss the game. I have heard swtor for example is very solo-friendly. I really really deeply admire the japanese players. They really can enjoy all corners and possibilities of this game, keep long blogs with pictures, arrange parties, are always polite and even try sometimes take contact to us western players even they don't talk much good English. It's so charming. I have had this game's best moments with them. If I look backwards to this thread answers and think what japanese think, my face color turns from red to green. Hopefully they neither read nor understand this western hate. Try to understand the people who don't speak English well. Me for example - I don't care because I can make myself understood with about 10 languages and it is much more important to me than speak only 2 well and with 007 accent.

Why you are so aggressive and hating ? The chocobo tail case was funny. Even I laughed it many hours, too. But it was funny only because it was teasing. Like school teasing. I'm a solo player too, but, unlike you, aware that this is a mmo and if you want to do end game content, you will need to have a ls and a party with 8ppl. Try to get into between solo, party gaming and you will succeed

American culture is very vulgar and inappropriate. If you truly mean what you say in your latest posting in this thread then this is something you would have to understand. Young children (spoiled brats as some would call them) frequently make posts that:
A) Hardly make any sense
B) Filled with unnecessary rage
C) Imperfect grammar and spelling
Your first post initially had all three of these things, but not because you were a young child who was angry, it was because English is not your native language, an easy mix-up at best. Looking to the future I would say maybe to begin your posts with a little disclaimer like some of the other non-English speaking people do that post over here, simply stating the following:
