Midan striking/maiming looked so nice and very few sets will ever beat High Allagan for me.
I can't believe all they did, at least for me, was add more for the bottom of the barrel.
Oh well, glamour prisms exist for a reason.

As long as future Omega gear isn't just more Samurai gear, i can deal.
i Think they look horrible. Also each different Set looks like a Reskin of a reskin of a reskin. Its like all the Townthemes and dungeonbossthemes. Its the same melody over and over only faster or slower with different instruments.
The new sets look amazing. The colors is what makes me question what they were smoking. Mainly the tank set
Yeah, this "omega gear" looks like some generic leveling gear from doma(or more kugane id say). People protect it "but its Genji armor!" i dont even know what it is and not wnat to know as i didnt play FFs except 9 and 12 and not series that much. Why is gear made from literally Omega parts looks like this? Why ironworks guys creating japanese cultural armor, its all doesn't make any sense. People can say that Alex gear wasnt perfect in appearance too but IT MADE SENSE, it was alex-themed steampunk style sets and it was good. Not its just looks like one big joke and i hope tomorrow SE will say something "omg sorry we put a wrong set" but it will not happed and im disappointed.
I imagined gear that looks like Sombra cyberspace skin for Omega :< that would be so cool.
Casters/healers: SE! Lemme wear armor, I don't want robes all the time!
SE: OK, by popular demand our new normal mode raid tier will feature metal armor for all jobs. Please look forward to it!
Healers/Casters: SE, why are we wearing armor, give us more robes and cloth! Worst tier ever!
SE: *face desk*
Poor guys. No one ever likes their armor designs.
Creativity aside, the problem with the existing armor can be narrowed down to one specific aspect: the tassets.
The armor tassets are tied to the chestpiece rather than the leggings, which is why the tassets are flared outward and wide. Square Enix did this in order to prevent any possible pants from clipping with the chest piece.
Change the chestpiece so the tassets are part of the legs, and slim the tassets down. I guarantee that most of the armor will look better this way.
It's really disappointing. Stormblood brings mostly reskins and really ugly looking gear. I was hoping to get something in this expansion, that'd look as cool as Fuga Attire that is cash shop exclusive. Nope. Reskins of reskins of reskins and disgusting looking raid gear. Honestly SE, it's by far, the worst looking raid gear you've ever made.
Actrully it does make sense the Genji armor is really famous from V because of Gilgamesh\\'s envolement with Bratz and the crew. So Omega being a direct tie in with V also it kinda makes sense. Kinda saddens me that both the 24 and 8 man is going to nostalgia raids. And seeing the more wise even this armor is not Doman. Doman samurai perfered very light armor and would not be made in this style.
honestly a lot of the new gear is pretty bad. I get that we're in kugana but jesus f. christ we're not all weebos. Does everything have to look like a flipping samurai? Some sure, give those players what they want. But everything?
And the idea of further restricting the glamour by taking away disciple of land/hand gear... They obviously want everyone to look the same.
Healers get a pointy wizard had and extremely thick samurai armor. Why?
I don't mind the eastern themes to the new sets since it IS Stormblood, but I agree that the Genta sets are kinda ugly. It doesn't help that they have a very poopy color scheme.
The only set people seem to care on is Sui set and AF. I'm not a fan of nothing else. even the badrams set looks similar to the glamour set thing that came out with the native outfit. can't remember the name.
if they're struggling they need to host more player made gear and let us choose. their creativity is a little of lately.
It's not like the last 2 years of the game wasn't filled with western Knights and Dragons.
Please do go ahead and point all the abundance of strictly samurai looking armor in this game, because there will still be more than 10 times the amount of generic suits of western plate armor.
I like the floppy healer hat. It goes so well with my haircut.
Love the theme, hate the designs. Maybe I just have higher expectations because I like samurai armor though. Hey, at least it aren't the Wind-up Moon minion issue over again.
And yes, there are players requesting for armor set on the casters, try looking for the glamour threads.
And no, SE can't please everyone. Though to be fair, I think majority of the players I'd spoken to or posted in this thread seems to generally dislike the overall designs and not just the caster set.
Now that I think about it, they should had place this Eastern theme set somewhere else instead... Was expecting something alien-ious or futuristic when I first step into Deltascape.
I personally don't mind them too much apart from the color (which won't be a problem once Savage comes out)
What I DO mind is the fact that this was the perfect opportunity to give us some FFV job glamours or something along those lines and I was really disappointed that it wasn't, maybe I'm just salty that we're never going to get Krile's White Mage hoodie but you know...
I dunno why y'all are complaining. You're in a foreign realm, things are gonna look different, even weird.
Doma and the rest of SB have good and the bad. Sorry you gotta be walking around looking like crap. There's plenty of previous raid gear to glamour that looks awesome... Heck I've personally pulled out my Monk Dreadwyrm gear because honestly it looks so awesome on my SAM.
Honestly, I think the new sets are okay-ish. But what got me bad was the healer hat. Boiiii

I'll be glamouring over each piece as soon as possible. Ugly as sin.
because omega raid don't have a line of design definite dude...
that the point, maybe the next part will have a totally different theme for the boss. nero say it: we can fight any type of enemy that did exist in hyadelin or fictional character!
this series was ff5, next can be FF7 who know that the whole point...
and it's kinda scary... FF5 was interesting choice as start, i hope they will choose boss a bit more recent for add a very interesting feeling
ps: like said, my only grips is all the armor are robe in a sense and it bother me... i like quite simple armor and it's hard to find any armor that is simple. especially for jobs like ninja/monk that are ultra mobile and that end in.... robe! what the... robe is the inverse of easy to move in.
pss: the boss was coming from FF5 and the chocobo from chocobo dungeon series haha this mix.

It absolutely does fit the raid because this entire raid tier is themed after FF5, of which the Genji armor was the strongest equipment in that game. It's also a set of armor that is in almost every Final Fantasy game and it makes complete sense for it to be a raid tier reward and not relegated to something less impressive like a dungeon drop. It's often the best equipment or very top tier in most Final Fantasy games it's in.
It entirely makes sense for being a part of the Omega Interdimensional Rift Raid, especially the tier that's packed with FF5 stuff.
Oh man, I loved the Chocobo Dungeon spin off games so much, I freaked out when I saw that cute little critter appear. My husband was like, "Whoa you need to calm down." LOL XD
On topic: I wasn't crazy about how the gear for EVERYONE for this raid tier is Samurai themed but now that I'm seeing people linking what they look like in game, they're not so bad. But I love the AST AF we got in Stormblood so much I'm going to end up glamoring over it anyway.
Would be cool if the gear was more futuristic or robotic
https://www.google.co.jp/search?q=fu...4ILDJ1cQB3czM:
I like it because its different.
Everyone sitting here saying "Why isn't it futuristic? Why isn't it like Omega himself?"... well, we never got proper Bahamut-style gear until the final tier of the raid. We never got proper Alexander-style gear until the final tier of the raid... perhaps they're following that pattern?
